The food here was great -- flavorful, and definitely good. However, my experience with the staff was disappointing. I was picking up a larger order for a friend and wasn't familiar with the process. When I asked a simple question about the order, the manager behind the counter seemed condescending and unhelpful. I later found out the order wasn't ready yet, which is fine because I was early, but the communication wasn't clear, and I felt laughed at when I didn't realize I needed to sign after paying. I'm not trying to knock the business -- the food itself was very good -- but I do think some additional courtesy and clarity from the staff would make a big difference for customers who are new to the place. read more

I cannot begin to tell you how crispy, delicious, savory, seasoned and FLAVORFUL this falafel gyro was. I got it with the cucumber letter tomato mix and extra white sauce. It was served with a spicy red sauce on the side. I absolutely DEVOURED this! It is hands down the best gyro I have ever eaten in my life. As someone who loves falafel and has been to several Turkish & Pakistani restaurants in the area including Oktay's Grill & Kopadakya, I am telling you literally run don't walk to Route 27 so you can feast yourself on their absolutely delicious fare that will leave you craving for more. Absolutely disgusting and just taste, quality. They poured white sauce. Which made it watery. No rice and the salad with tomatoes made it more watery. Felt like crap after eating eat. Much better places that have better chicken shawarma. Do not order from here. Waste of money. Total waste. read more

Been meaning to try out Gyro King for some time simply to see if their falafels were good. Surprisingly enough, the falafels were actually good. I got the falafel platter over some fries and was pleasantly surprised by the taste of the falafels itself. Probably could have used a bit more white sauce but I can live with it. At $9.99 it's a good deal. It's not the best falafel in town (Oktay still wins there), but it's a perfect alternative for those people that have to be in the area (Indian shopping!) read more

I was looking forward to Gyro king & grill opening for a while because it's within close proximity from me. I finally had the opportunity to visit recently and now I have mixed feelings about returning. We ordered about $30 worth of food to share and was excited to try it. I got the supreme platter which has a combination of meats which is served with rice and you get to select your own vegetable etc including their hummus. I feel like you get a god amount of food but, I mainly had an issue with the packaging. So it seems like whether you are dining in or getting take out everything is being packed in styrofoam containers. It's not a fancy sit down place but I feel like they should maybe have plates or dishes when dining there. Secondly with my supreme platter, i felt like everything was just stuffed in my styrofoam container so it was a project sorting it out. Next time I would suggest that they put meats in separate container. Now this is the part that I had an issue with as a paying customer. We ordered hummus that comes with pita and also a side of naan. Both pieces of bread were STALE! I was like WTF is this? This place recently opened and they already serving stuff that's stale? I went to this spot after my cousins recommended it. I definitely plan on going back when I have time, as it is a bit off my normal route. Pros: -Price is great! You really get a lot of food for what you pay. I got the gyro combo platter and ate it for two meals which is rare for platters that I've gotten at other spots. They also put little mints inside the bags which I find very cute! And necessary haha -The flavors are amazing! It is a mix of Indian, Mediterranean, and Greek. Their meat is cooked very well and the hummus is authentic. -Quick service. The restaurant was pretty empty and I got my food within a few minutes. It is also very clean. However, another customer in the store said they had been waiting 10 minutes already; seems like certain specialty items need to be cooked on the spot and take longer to order. Cons: -It's very different from other spots. This doesn't taste like other halal guys or platters franchises -- it's a fusion of many different flavors. It tastes great, but might not be what you were expecting. For example, their 'toppings' are things I've never heard of before, and while their hummus tastes good and authentic, it's literally plain chickpeas. There isn't additional flavoring like garlic or something, which I've never seen before. -The combo I got should have come with lamb, beef, and chicken. They only put lamb in it, which is very heavy. It tasted great but I wish they had gotten the meat selection correct to add the variety I was looking for. I would say that as long as you're open to trying new flavors this is a great spot! I ordered 3 gyros tonight through seamless. 1 chicken gyro with regular onions, pickled onions and extra white sauce, 1 beef/lamb gyro with lettuce, tomatoes and white sauce and 1 beef/lab gyro with lettuce, onions and white sauce. We received a chicken gyro saturated in hot sauce and some type of onions, but definitely not pickled, a beef/lamb gyro with lettuce, cucumbers and onions, and a beef/lamb gyro with just lettuce. So, not 1 of our orders were done correctly. After waiting 45 minutes, I would expect a little better. One of the gyros is saturated in hit sauce and practically unable to be eaten at all. On top of all of that, ordered a side of the baba ganoush and did not receive a single piece of pita. I tried to eat my chicken gyro but after 1 bite it fell apart and after 3 pieces of chicken, I could no longer feel my mouth. Very disappointed tonight. read more

Docked a star cause they don't provide tap water, you have to buy their bottled water. They say they don't have plastic cups. So now I do takeout. I've been eyeing this place since they opened and never had the chance to stop in. I found myself to be hungry (as I often am) after a long day of work and thought about what places I pass on the way home and this place came to mind. I looked at their website to see what they had and to my pleasure, I noticed I could order online! Perfect! I selected a mixed gyro platter and a side of garlic naan (for my sister, since she's absolutely loves naan). I work about 20-30 mins away depending on traffic and the food was ready when I got there. The staff was very friendly and getting my food was hassle free (which, other places sometimes make purchasing/picking up food harder than it needs to be). The cashier even made sure she put in utensils and enough sauce. Price was reasonable too! Whole order came to about $11. Smelling the food on my drive home was tough, I couldn't wait to dig in! Upon opening my platter, I was amazed. There was so much meat! And a nice salad! The meat was absolutely delicious - tender and flavorful. The rice was also top notch, and complimented the meat perfectly. The white sauce they provided on the side is one of the best I've had in a long while (finally a white sauce that's not all runny and flavorless!). Now, normally I can polish off similar plate from other establishments. This one defeated me halfway through...they didn't skimp at all! I had left overs for the next day :) My sister loved her garlic naan as well. Needless to say, I'm a fan and I will be back! read more

I came here when they first opened (pre-Covid) and was very happy with the food, they had fair prices and generous portions. I finally returned more than a year later because I think it's important to support small businesses after the struggle of the pandemic. Their prices have gone up considerably which I understand but what's disappointing is that they've also made their portions smaller (I would have been fine paying more even with the sizes staying the same) I I ordered a gyro wrap and the meat was unfortunately quite rubbery. I had a Supreme platter which was missing a piece of falafel (disappointing but not worth going back or even calling them over, but check your order before you leave next time!) the rice and chicken were good, but their garlic sauce is really more of a tangy yogurt. Overall I wasn't too upset I just think they could be more meticulous with making their orders and make the meat quality a top priority! read more
