This is a very chill small restaurant with fantastic food and excellent service. We ordered the beef momo, potato momo, fried rice, and mog thuk, which I hadn't heard of before. Basically it's ting thuk but with tiny beef momo inside. Also got the turmeric ginger tea, as the day was really chilly. Overall it was fantastic food, with the beef momo being outstanding. It comes with the red pepper sauce already on top, though I usually like a little bowl of the stuff with my momo. It was way too much food but the momo, especially the potato momo, heated up very well the following day, meaning it was moist enough inside to keep it going. We'll definitely return. read more

After going to Palisades Center nearby, we wanted to pick up some lunch but didn't want any mall food. So we went into town and found this Tibetan restaurant. There aren't a lot of Tibetan restaurants around my area, so we decided to pick something up. We ordered the Then-Thuk (hand pulled Tibetan flat noodles, spinach, wood ear mushrooms, rice noodles, potatoes, topped with scallion/cilantro, beef) and the Beef Momos. The noodles were great, even after eating them an hour later. I do wish that they separated the noodles from the broth for takeout though, since they did become a little soggy. Definitely would have tasted better as a dine in dish. The beef momos were a little on the salty side, but I enjoyed the spicy tomato garlic dipping sauce. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd dine in for that soup, and try some of their other dishes. read more

never had this type of food before but i'll try most anything once. so glad i did. it was really good. on busy Main st little tuff getting a spot. we started with spring rolls. they were so light and homemade. we loved them the one thing i def wanted to try where the momos. we had the chicken ones. omg they were amazing. I have now been here twice and loved every visit. The owner is so sweet and kind. I am vegetarian so I ordered the Aloo (potato) momos with the savory tomato chutney. Fabulous perfect amount of dough to filling ratio and taste. The first time she gave me a mix of mushroom and half aloo. I preferred the aloo one more. This time we ordered the vegetable Chow Mein, for $15 I think the portion could be bigger it was very minimal that's my only complaint. Overall very positive experience. read more

My friend chose this restaurant for a recent Wednesday night dinner outing. I had Tibetan food before but had to drive to the city to get it. This was much easier to get to and was every bit as good. The owner was very pleasant and sat us at a comfortable table. We ordered a solid amount of dishes and then circled back for another couple of dishes. The beef Momos are outstanding, perfect texture and flavor. The chili chicken dish was a favorite for me, sauce had a perfect level of spice for my palate. (Slightly above medium heat being my sweet spot) We also enjoyed the wings, spicy tofu, eggplant, chili beef, salad, and the chow mein. I am determined to start a momo revolution! If you haven't tried them you haven't lived, and if you haven't had them here, you haven't experienced just how good the Tibetan version of the momo can be! A small restaurant on the main drag of downtown Nayak, this little gem may have simple decor, but the food is incredible. The momos, drizzled with Tibetan red bean and chili sauces, were fresh, and packed full of meat and flavor. The Tingmo (a Tibetan yeast bread) was like feasting on clouds. Light and airy, the slightly sweet bread was a perfect complement to the beef and chicken momos we ordered; and the ginger, turmeric, and lemon tea, was freshly made and well balanced, with chunks ginger and turmeric , and a slice of lemon on top. The staff was super sweet and attentive and native to the region including the chef which provided the authentic flavors and rich experience of the Tibetan cuisine. The air was filled with soft music adding a touch of Tibetan ambience that made you forget you were in NY. I highly recommend this place if you find yourself in Nayak, you won't be disappointed. There are lots of variations of momo's. HTM has some good ones. Thin skinned, served with a choice of tomato garlic dipping sauce or hot chili sauce. Ordered was the beef momo's, veg momo's and an eggplant special. The beef momo's were flavorful, and when combined with the tomato garlic dipping sauce, made it even better. The veg momo's had lots of finely diced veggies, some grit, believed to be spices, and when combined with the hot chili oil made for a flavorful experience. The eggplant special had 2"x1/2" rectangular strips sautéed in the tomato garlic sauce. Repetitive, but nonetheless flavorful with a different texture. Entering the establishment, one gets a calm feel. Surrounded with darker weathered woods on all surfaces, the smallish dining area is subdued but the natural lighting from the large picture window gives enough light to admire the artistry of the folds on the momo's, from the chef, who crafted the momo, which strongly resembles the infamous Chinese XLB. Beverages ordered were green tea, an herbal tea, which was a blend of ginger, turmeric, lemon and honey and a beer, a Sapporo Premium Lager. No complaints as all beverages were as expected. Service was prompt, with one, who took on the all roles of hostess, waitress and buser. With a limited menu, any questions were handled with confidence and ease. For the Nyack area, HTM is good, and would recommend for its quality of food, friendly service and calming atmosphere. read more

I brought my friend in to try Tibetan food for the first time. Its a small place on Main Street and it was empty when we walked in. We were seated by the front window and provided menus. The place is clean with plenty of tables. I ordered a hot tea which was freshly made with ginger tumeric and lemon and so delicious! We each ordered beef momos and split the chow mein. The momos were perfectly cooked and so delicious!! The chow mein was also perfectly cooked with so much flavor. We loved it. We had a very nice dinner at HTM. The restaurant is a pretty, peaceful ambiance and the service was very nice and attentive. We came early on Sunday 4PM, so it was understandably quiet. The food was good. We started with the beef Momo's, which seemed recommended by most reviewers and by the waitress. You can witness them making them fresh in the kitchen. The meat and the outer skin were very nice, and meaty and hardy. The side sauces(chili, and one mild sauce) were very nice and flavorful. I would like to try the other Momo's next time. We also had the chow mein, which was ok as it was a bit on the salty and greasy side. The beef Phingsha was my favorite dish as the sauce was very flavorful and had the taste of five spice. The spicy tofu dish was also good, and mildly favored and balanced the Phingsha well. We ordered rices to sop up the sauces of the Phingsha, which was very nice. The portions are not that big, for our party of 4, we ordered a second Momo and I think we should have ordered another main course. Also, the ginger turmeric tea was very nice and not too sweet. There were a lot of vegetarian choices so very curious to try those for the vegetarians in our circle. Good experience for our first time trying Himalayan and Tibetan food. This review is overdue. Stopped by on our way home & found it via Yelp! Never had Nepalese food but have seen some YT videos of content creators. Had the spring rolls which were ok (it was the usual spring rolls). However, their specialty is MOMOS. I had the Traditional MOMO soup and it's similar to soup dumplings or dumpling soup. It was very fresh and you can tell it's homemade. Their spicy saucy is SPICY! lol but it was great. Hostess was super friendly. The place is so cute and cozy. Definitely a great date night and it's located on a main road with other restaurants that reminded me of one of my hometowns. Or one of those towns you would watch in a Hallmark movie! We were in Nyack for the Halloween Parade. We passed this restaurant as we were strolling around checking out the neighborhood. We noticed most restaurants were Italian or American. We can have those cuisines anywhere, but this would be our 1st time having Tibetan cuisine. I wish they were in NJ Mothuk was delicious. I love dumplings, and these were good. It was a warm day, so soup Dumpling was probably not a good idea, but I had to try it . In hindsight, I should have also gotten the Momo to try. Maybe another time. Hubby got the spicy tofu. I was there yesterday with one friend, for dinner. The ambiance here is not the fanciest, but what they lack in flair and decor they make up with the quality of the food. Everything was so flavorful! We started with the avocado salad, which was large enough to be shared between 2 people, the ginger dressing was solid. We then shared the beef momos, they came with 8 pieces. THEY WERE DELIGHTFUL! They had a little broth in them, perfect for slurping out of the top. The meat mixture was nicely flavored and it came with a yummy sauce on the side. I tasted ginger, cardamom, garlic, and other spices. We shared the veggie fried rice, which is definitely the BEST version of fried rice I've ever had. It was so fresh and bright and lightly flavored with fun tastes you don't usually get in fried rice. It was high quality and my only complaint would be that I wanted to eat more of it! We then shared the vegetable chowmein noodles, which were thin and coated in a curry-powder flavored mixture and super flavorful. The service was friendly and good. We've been here three times in less than 2 months, twice for take out for an order of veg-momo dumplings and they were delicious and well prepared. We came for sit down dinner just last week and got their then-tuk, housemade fried rice and their spring rolls. Once again delicious and prepared well with fresh ingredients. On our third time we tried the diet fried chow mein noodles and nothing beats a good dish of housemade and hand rolled noodles. Of course we need get an order of veg momo again. I love Tibetan food, esp. Momos. During the past, the closest place to satisfy this craving would mean an hour's drive to New Paltz. Not any more! The owner told us that Momos were the best-selling items on their menu, so we got one order of vegetarian and one of beef. They were outstandingly delicious! The beef Momos contained a lot of juicy broth, and husband must bite off a tiny bit of the wrap and suck out the liquid, to prevent spurting or dripping. This recent Saturday was a rare Date Night with my wife of 37 years. We were going to dinner and a show. Then the show was cancelled and Date Night was ruined! BUT I quickly pivoted and found a restaurant with my wife's newest favorite cuisine - Himalayan! So, to compensate for the disappointment of a failed Date Night, I traveled 30 minutes to pick up dinner, only to encounter the Himalayan Tibetan Momo restaurant, with its brightly lit "Open" sign, and its listing of its operating hours posted on the door - WAS EMPTY AND CLOSED!
