I brought a 40 year old wall clouck into this business. I wish I had read these reviews. It took at least a year after calling many times befor we could reach the owner. When we finally reached him, he said it would take at least two weeks to fix it. He was suppose to clean and align the clock.He charged us $250.00. We don't even know if the clock works yet. I think this is unacceptable. I am going to report this business to the better business review. I don't think the owner will care. PLEASE DON'T USE THIS BUSINESS FOR ANYTHING. I brought a Grandfather clock home after my Grandmother passed away and it was not running. This is a family heirloom, that was actually built by my Grandpa who was a Master Carpenter and cabinet maker. I called the Tic Toc shop and they gave me great instructions on packing the clock for transport back home. When I arrived, I called and requested a service call on the clock because I wanted to get it running and make sure everything was OK. The technician they sent out was Kent. Kent was fantastic and really knew his craft. Unfortunately, another family member had worked on the clock trying to get it running and had improperly reassembled the works and had even put a part in upside down. Kent got the works out of the clock, which was no minor matter since this was custom built and the easy way into the cabinet was lost when my Grandpa passed away. Then gave the clock a thorough going over, added a couple of spacers to make sure everything was aligned. Gave me an accurate picture of the clock works health and potential problems I might have down the line caused my improper lubrication over the last 40+ years. Then gave me a short class on the proper operation of the clock including how to adjust it if it was running a bit slow or fast. After my experience here I'm a customer forever. AVOID! I took my antique clock to him to look at. My father had the clock rebuilt 5 years ago (by another shop not in the area) and it worked flawlessly for 5+ years. It had stopped working recently so I took it to the Tick Tock Clock Shoppe. I learned it is NOT the original, but a former employee. What a rip-off!!!! I showed him the receipt of former work and was planning on leaving it there so he could check it out and give me an estimate to repair. He checked clock out on the spot, he told me it was an easy fix he could have it working for $50 and come back in 20 minutes and it would be ready. I couldn't have been happier! Took it home, hung it on the wall.... Ran less than 10 minutes..... Called, and was told I need to adjust the the angles it was hanging on the wall..... Fooled with it for several hours and the the clock just would only run for 10-60 minutes before quitting. After talking to guy I took it back to the shop. 2 days later he told me clock is not running correctly. DUH! That's the reason I took it to him in the 1st place. He told me he could rebuild clock but it would be expensive. After my experiences up to this point I had a bad feeling and I can not believe the clock needs rebuilt (again). When I went back to the shop to pick the clock up I asked about a refund and was refused. He mentioned he hard parts (see pic) from my 1st visit to secure hands. So in a nutshell I paid $50 for a 3/4 inch of thin metal that took a matter of minutes to install. IF that would of fixed the clock I would have been fine with it but in reality he fixed NOTHING! I take that back, he secured the hands on a non-functioning clock...I can see why the owner of the ORIGINAL Tic Toc Shoppe isn't happy about this copycat trying to rely on the reputation of her HONEST business read more

Called to have our grandfather clock cleaned, oiled and set up after having it moved from California. Rep arrived early and was very friendly. He didn't clean anything but asked for a feather duster and swiped at the pendulum. Didn't wear any gloves while handling the brass parts and asked for a paper towel while telling us how finger prints could damage the finish on the brass parts. I figure if I'm going to pay someone $135.00 for service they should have white gloves to wear and bring their own supplies and put something on the laminate floor the protect the finish. He did oil the clock and made all the proper settings on the clock. I would never call this company again, the quality of service didn't justify the cost of the visit. read more

Very poor service. They are nice enough taking your clock in, but very very slow getting the work done that they commit to. My grandfather clock was there for nearly six months. was supposed to be done in two months. when i called about it, i can got one excuse after another. and more promises that it would be done by thanksgiving. when it was not done by dec i went in to pick it up. they had not done anything with it. seems pretty fraudulent to me. stay away from these people. when i complained about the missed dates and promises, they told me they had several clocks here much longer than mine. that did not console me to much...so there are several people being strung along. Wish i could give them negative five stars. read more

My husband took an anniversary clock in for repair. He was told it would take about 5-6 weeks. He returned at 6 week mark and they hadn't even touched the clock, even though he had requested a 'rush' on it. He was told it would be 6 weeks before they'd have it finished. So now a 6 week 'rush' turned into a 12 week repair. My husband reclaimed the clock and took it to another shop. Not a professional approach to customer service. read more
