Absolute scam of a company that is using a bunch of shell companies to hide from people. They charged my card, provided me with a defense that basically said this, "I have always been a good driver, so I ask the court to find me not guilty." That's all they did. They put it on the California Judicial Council forms, but these are FREE forms that anyone can access through their local court ONLINE. When I was found guilty, they didn't return my email or calls asking for my refund under their "100% Guarantee". I finally got a reply that said I was contacting the wrong company, EVEN THOUGH their name is the one that shows up on my bank charge! I signed on with their service(2fixyourtrafficticket) in July for a cell phone ticket, gave them all requested docs and received a confirmation email that everything was received. A month later, I received a failure to appear from the court, with additional fees. Tried contacting 2fix, impossible. A voicemail is the best you can get. A week later they replied to my email stating I did not complete the paperwork properly and to take it up with the court myself. No refund, no apology, no nothing. This is scam. Stay away. So, I got a red light ticket. They basically sent me the form to fight my ticket and pasted what I wrote them in the description. That is pretty much what I paid $99 for. I tried to call them, but they do not have a phone #. This is a red flag for any business, especially a business that provides legal services. Also, when they sent me the form to fight my ticket, they explicitly said that I should mail it to the court and not to them. I then looked up their mailing address and discovered that "6520 Platt Ave West Hills, CA 91307" is a UPS store in a strip mall. And 7 days later ,you will get your TBD form ,and what they do is just copy and paste what you write on the their website on that form ,and tell the court that you want to dismiss that ticket. Sorry I wasted my money, time and energy using a company that provides inaccurate information to defend it's clients. A company that provides services in Traffic Fines should be knowledgeable enough in Calif. Vehicle Codes so they are able to provide accurate information to the courts for clients they are assisting. * From my experience I felt the info. they provided on my declaration actually worked against me instead of for me. I felt I had a very high probability of winning my case because it wasn't like I ran a red light or injured someone, or got a ticket going at a high speed. I received my ticket-fine for a "Rolling Right-Hand Turn on a red light ... this was from a "Traffic Camera". The video from the courts showed me practically stopped but because I was trying to find a street sign (I was in an area that did not post street signs!) I failed to observe the light turning from yellow to red (which was to the right of me). The video clearly showed absolutely no pedestrians or cars when I made the turn. * The declaration they wrote for me seemed impressive but it was after I learned I did not win my case that I started inquiring from family & friends about the info. they provided to the court. The information of Traffic Cameras being "illegal" was mentioned in my court papers ... this was accurate for the Los Angeles County area but not for Northern California! (San Francisco Bay Area which is where I'm from). So typically when they stated it was hearsay & illegal to cite me, it was like telling the judge that the County of San Mateo is operating illegally by ticketing me. For the SF Bay Area, it is not illegal to use traffic cameras (which they stated it was!). I would say the judge reviewing my case took this in a very negative way. I didn't win my case ... * The above is only 1 reason why this company didn't do much in helping my case. Another factor was the timing of the lights. Info. given in my declaration stated I had 3.0 seconds from the yellow light to the red light. My video from the courts clearly showed 4.0 seconds (not 3.0). This inaccuracy certainly didn't help in my defense either ... if anything made me look worse in trying to defend myself. * Another discrepancy was the fact they stated not posting SR-56 signs is illegal. In the SF Bay Area there are many areas that do not post these signs yet traffic cameras are in operation. Maybe in another County it might be illegal but this does not apply in the County I live in (San Francisco Bay Area). * The bottom line is, I do not recommend this company because they do not deliver the professional service they advertise. Don't waste your money for the Written Declaration by these people. I paid the $99, received the declaration, I read it....and immediately noticed that even though the information regarding my violation number was correct on all the documents I sent them, they sent me a declaration stating the wrong violation number, thereby arguing the WRONG information. Also the previous reviewer is correct, they just take the information you send them in the statement about what direction you were traveling, etc, insert it into a statement and send it to you. So an update to my review since a few of you have inquired.... Decision came back from the courts and I lost. I went ahead and put in a request for my 100% money back refund and also asked about what my options were and how to go about requesting for traffic school without having to go to court. The response they gave only addressed the refund which they promised would happen between 7-10 business days. I asked again about traffic school and got nothing. Luckily I have a brain and hands to do a google search on my own to figure it out. At the end of the day, it was their website that helped me work out my options. They list out very clearly the various ways you can request for traffic school AND as a bonus, they even included sample letters to use, free of charge! Why couldn't they have emailed me that or just directed me to their website!? This is where I am torn because I felt that they dropped me quickly after they deemed the services provided but on the other hand, everything I needed was ironically found on their website. It took some time to hear back from the courts so I ended up having to request for a trial de novo still before that opportunity expired. In the end it all worked out and I received a letter in the mail from the courts about a week later granting me traffic school without ever having to show up to court. As for the refund..... 10 business days passed and I did not see anything. I sent another email asking if they could check up on it and they promised to re issue it through the bank. The next day I did in fact receive an email from pay pal that they refunded me the full $99 amount. So... what did I get out of all of that? Well, nothing really. Extra time put in and extra paperwork, but when you break it down, it was still technically a no risk/free opportunity to take a chance on fighting your ticket. This website offers THE CHEAPEST online traffic school course that I could find-- and I clicked through the entire CA DMV approved listed courses, too, so I know this for sure. It took me less than 1 hour to complete the entire course and it was very easy to look up answers to the quiz questions just by using a basic keyword search, and to pass the final exam using the same keyword search method. If you fail your first attempt at the final exam, you get to try a 2nd attempt at no additional cost (some of the other websites charge extra for this). The course basically consists of long paragraphs of text with some random cartoon images and short jokes along the way. Approx. every other page is a short quiz on the material from the page before. There are no videos or audio options that read the text to you. The website is very straight-forward and up front, as they clearly list the total minimum required cost of the course, $8.99, on their website (unlike some of the other websites, which try to trick users by separating different required costs). They also offer add-on services if the user wants additional confirmations (like having them call the court/DMV for you to make sure the course completion didn't get lost in their system), but the $8.99 cost is really all you need. They also email you your purchase receipt and course completion receipt within minutes. I only wish that I had found this website earlier, as they offer a $189 flat fee for speeding ticket attorney with partial money back guarantee if they can't clear your ticket, which is the cheapest I've seen. The site I had used charged $249, and since I could tell that the officer that had stopped me was very meticulous about his job and thus would be difficult to persuade to completely dismiss my ticket, regardless on who I hired, I didn't want to waste too much money on hiring an attorney. These guys are scams! Yes, they send you paperwork for the 'file by written declaration' but they do not have any traffic experts to help you with the argument. Essentially what you are paying for is the paperwork and you have to add your own statement. In my opinion, you can just download the paperwork template from Google and move on; don't waste your time with these guys! They also charged me a rush fee for an option I didn't even select -- when questioned on the receipt details, they said to have my fee refunded -- unethical! Fraud! Be careful of their HIDDEN fee. I've got charged $145 on the tab "sign up with $99 flat rate" on my phone for just 1 ticket. The check out process looked simple with no visible options and the "order confirmation" does not provide any charge details nor even the charge amount. I didn't realize they charged me that much over until my bank statement. When I wrote them for a refund they said I requested an "expedite service" which I never did nor needed to. I am waiting for their 2nd respond and if not solved guess I will just to put it on next level. It's not just about the money but I don't tolerate fraud.
