However, the wash is a drive-thru though you don't go with the car. As a track pulls your car through the wash you wait--and presumably spend money--inside. At the end of the wash teenagers hand dry your auto and vacuum the interior. Inside Tidal Wave there's a large convenience store with the usual packaged food, soft drink fountains, alcohol, and home pantry items. The Tidal Wave Cafe is a hot food case with personal size pizzas, fried chicken, onion rings, and--in the morning--breakfast sandwiches. It's all next to the comfortable waiting lounge where you can watch your car being finished. In front, more than a dozen fuel pumps with Phillips 66 gas sit in the large parking lot. Note: Left turns onto or from busy Clarkson Road can be challenging here.

I purchased a membership because I have found that I am in there every week before work. I went around the corner to enter the wash, the attendant signaled me to move forward so I did. He kept motioning to move forward. When I got onto the belt as directed to by the attendant my car gave a subtle jerk and was pulled into the car in front of me. The entire time I was trying to stop, the attendant just stared at me saying stop. It took another employee coming out of the building pushing or turning off something that shut everything down to stop my car being pushed into the other vehicle. I rolled down my window and asked what the hell happened and they both immediately said I came into the wash to fast. At no time since coming around the corner to enter the wash was my foot even on the gas pedal and I followed everything the attendant said. I have been using the car wash for years and always nervous about bad stuff happening to my car so I always wait for them to tell me when to move or do anything. I called the number to the reply on my review 02/23/26 and they said they could not cancel my plan because they don't have access to that. They also said a district/area manager would contact me. My husband talked to the location manager (based off email address) I guess his name is Aamaud Rutherford instead of apologizing and giving our money back and cancelling our membership he blamed me again and told my husband that I was a liar. He or someone who works there called my phone multiple times and wouldn't answer, so I blocked the phone number. Then I get several emails, still no apology, blaming me and saying he wants to go over the video. We don't want to go over the video because I was there and I have dashcam video of me following the workers direction until I could no longer do so because the belt or something was dragging me. The only one who has ever listened to me or apologized was the number from my Google review reply. Luckily, neither my car or the other car were damaged. I am taking this as a sign do not use automated car washes, I recommend others do the same, especially this location.

I have since learned that we didn't need another car wash, but we did need this one. For the money you pay here it's the best deal in the state. They have happy hour seven days a week 8 AM to 9 AM and 6 PM to 7 PM and all day on Wednesdays you can get a standard car wash for only five dollars. But what really impressed me was everything else you get for free, high pressure vacuums, floor mat cleaners, for carpeted and rubber mats, a spray bottle with Windex to get your windows even cleaner, they even supply you with nice quality shop towels to wipe down the inside of your car in your windows with . For five bucks it's a hell of a deal.

Out of 4 placed cones, he hesitantly moved only one. I had to ask him to move the second one or else it would've been rolled over. He said he is a manager at the Florissant location also but he definitely was not acting like a manager, closing 7 minutes early and costing the business money and bad customer service. Two more cars came after he moved the cones. I've come at 7:58 before. Hopefully the owner fixes this issue.

He was super nice but maybe a little flirty, which was fine, made my day. Anyway- splurged and got the $25 wash (which is way out of character for me, but the car was gross dirty). Even though it had all the "added features," I was through the wash in 45 seconds. Seriously. Not exaggerating. Aaaaand there was still bird poop on the car. They do have a sign that says if you're not satisfied to come back around for another go at it. I didn't but guess I could have. They do have nice vacuum stations for after the wash. I didn't use one, so I can't vouch for their efficacy. I probably will not come here again. Way too expensive for what you get, IMHO.
