Service is always nice and the car always comes out clean. We usually get team member service to dry afterwards and there's just always wet spots on major parts of the trunk that are very visible. We always tip generously too. read more

This is a terribly managed waterway. I went there for just One whole thing wash, was NEVER intending to purchase an entire package of washes and the clerk that scans your card to help you pay for the single car wash charged me for a $200.00 car wash package. I DID NOT request or Approve for an entire Car wash package. I only asked for One Single car wash for $51.00 and nothing else. I'm disputing this charge and will deny the expense of $200 dollars for a wash package that I did not approve. read more

I've been a Waterway member for 15-20 years. I cancelled my membership today. Reason being, they now want ME to do the work without a reduction in cost to ME. If you have bug splatter on your car, clean it off yourself. They now have a bucket station they have set up before you drive into the bay for your car to go through. They no longer give your car that extra spray to help get the bug goo off. They don't have time I was told. When you exit the car wash, they no longer dry your car unless you purchase one of the larger packages. Otherwise, dry it yourself. In the past, they did do a hand dry (which took all of 2-3 minutes). No longer. They are also screwing their employees out of tips as I traditionally would tip $2-$3 for getting my car hand dried. If your going to reduce service, reduce my cost. I'll never go back, especially when I can get a car wash for $7 just down the road. Yes, I'll have to dry it myself but I would still have to dry it myself at WW. Long time customer GONE! read more

Not worth it. As of July 17th this Waterway moved to a new model. Half the service. Twice the price. The customer preps the car via a new do it yourself station, orders the service via a kiosk and drives it in to the lane. Stays in the car and drives it in to the detail lane. They do not dry the exterior car unless you buy the wheel and tire package. The price for the "whole thing" service was $50 dollars. $6 more for the mats. The attendant told me they did it to reduce wait times and increase throughput. YES because they don't have to do they work. They make you do it or just not do it. It is now just a money grab. It's a gas station carwash with some people who will do a 5 min inside wipe down for 30 bucks. $50 plus tax and TIP to do the wheels and outside hand dry. Waterway used to be where you wanted a wash between doing it yourself and a professional detailer. I recommend just going to Tidal wave, a mobile service or just get a bucket and rag. read more

Absolutely positive experience from professional & friendly greeting through exit with a gleaming & sparkling finish on a 2006 Toyota Highlander. WOW!! Impressive. We drove in from the Oregon & tired from the many miles. We'd neglected to properly prepare for the wash by removing our oversized trailer hitch. So even though it was our oversight & located at the rear of our vehicle (out of sight), MGR Joe politely asked if we could please remove the hitch which we did while holding up the line at the entrance. Patient & kind, MGR Joe made us feel comfortable as he reassured us with friendly banter then SHOCKED us by saying this wash was "on the house" & FREE!!! Mgr Joe said, "We're just sorry we had to ask you to remove the hitch. Sorry for your inconvenience." We thought we'd had an encounter with our guardian angel looking out for us & providing for us & meeting our need beyond what we were even aware. This is the Worst Waterway! They lack customer service and the cars don't come clean. Brought my car in to be cleaned and came out with a Broken Windshield! The kids cleaning my car admitted that these things happen a lot. Tyler Malerich, the General Manager said accidents happen and I can't expect him to do anything about it. When I said I expected him to make my windshield right, the way it was when I came in, he said his deductible is too high for him to put something like this through his insurance!!! Really?? Does he have to total my new car for him to do what's right?? It's amazing he's the General Manager representing the company, wow! Generally speaking, car washes are all the same. This place in particular has nothing bad about it. Employees that are attentive to what they are supposed to do usually makes a good effect. The car is left clean, spotless, and smelling great. The line does move a little slow but when you get to the point where you know the workers enough you eventually get to cut some corners. read more

Tuesday 10/11 at roughly 5pm. I completely acknowledge that you would have a lot of different experiences here depending on the time of day and who is working. That said the kid who was taking in the cars and marking the windshields on this day wasn't on his A game. It was pretty crowded and he was not keeping the cars organized. People were cutting off others and weaving around slow cars to beat them into the car wash line. I couldn't believe the people were this ballsy and I couldn't believe this guy was allowing this behavior instead of directing the cars into the line. After the line my experience was pretty standard. Here's my main gripe with Waterway: I will forever be completely perplexed by the SUV $2 upcharge. If you're going to upcharge $2 then be extra thorough when opening the back and cleaning. Never happens. When your customer is going to pay $15-$35 to have a car wash make them feel like they're getting more than they would from the $8 touchless at the gas station. read more

I have written about their practices of putting employees on call, even as soon as 5 minutes before their scheduled shift, as well as asking employees why they need to ask off, but I'd argue this is the worst one yet. They make line employees drive cars onto the track periodically, why is this bad, you ask? Line employees make the tipped minimum wage of $5.15 an hour, and they keep making this wage as they drive cars onto the track, for no tips!!! New review: it's hard to rate a company you use often because eventually they will make a mistake but this is car washing, this should be easy. But they struggle with drying the car. They can't even get large water droplets off the vehicle. I have to go home and dry the car again. OLD REVIEW: I like the service but they don't honor their coupons which is disappointing. I had a free upgrade to The Works, and since I'm already a yearly paying member I asked for The Works and showed them the coupon I had. They said I was in the wrong group? I don't know what that means, but it meant I would have to pay for the wash which from what I could tell really didn't clean anymore than usual. I have an issue with how they treat their employees. I have had buddies who have worked at this location, and they constantly get sent home before their shift is over, or even a call (one buddy told me 10 min before their shift) telling them to not come in for a couple hours. This location expects workers to be on call. When I get a 6 hour shift, I expect to work and get PAID for those 6 hours, not set aside 6 hours out of my week for only 3-4 hours of pay. Also, they ask employees why they need a day off??? Does waterway need to know WHY an employee needs off??? Absolutely ridiculous. read more

YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG!!! That infamous quote from the movie Mr. Mom was what ran through my head as I tried to get a handle on the process here. For the gas station/car washed challenged, here's what you are supposed to do. 1. Drive up to the pump and get your gas. 2. Give your car wash order to the car wash hop who appears while you're at the pump. 3. Drive your car around to the entrance, leave the key in it, and hand it over to the guys waiting for it who already know what you want. 4. Go in the store - enjoy a snack or beverage while you wait for your car to come out. 5. When your car comes out, join the throngs of people waiting by the front window to see when your car is done. 6. VERY IMPORTANT - when they are finished with your car, they will stand by the drivers side door and spin a rag like a pizza. This means come out and get your car now. 7. Have a look at the job they did and tip them well, because they are young and their job requires them to be out in the weather. They split tips so don't worry about tipping separately if two or more work on your car. They know. 8. Drive away happy. Sounds simple, but my trip had the complicating factors of their Veteran's Discount and not realizing that they sold diesel until after I was past the pump area. Kudos to WW for offering such a generous deal for veterans during the month of November, and kudos to the staff who were very friendly and helpful and made sure I got the full benefit of the offering. I've been here several times and never been impressed. My last visit put a nail in the coffin of any future visits here. The first couple of times I came here, I got the $30 works wash. It is an inside and outside cleaning of the car. It is not a bad value for what you get, but it is hit or miss on how well they do. I know these are kids who work at this place, but there needs to be better quality control from management. When they put their arm up for you to retrieve your car, they ask if everything looks okay. Usually there is a parking lot amount of cars around and you feel rushed to give a detailed inspection. Every time in the past, I've always noticed that there is many places missed with the vacuum. This last time was no different. Because it was V Day, I decided to have my wife's car washed and cleaned. When I pulled up, the guy who greeted me asked if I wanted to have all surfaces Armored Alled, leather wiped down and my driver mat washed, I said sure. I about choked on my own saliva when I learned it was an additional $40! They really need to have a menu that you can look at before you agree on anything. So I sucked it up with the hopes it would look amazing. When they called me up to inspect the car, there was the typical missed crumbs in the carpet. They are easy to spot because the carpet is black. I wonder why they do not see this. So I reluctantly said it looked fine and drove off. As I looked around on the road, I could see all the areas on the hard surfaces where they hastily wiped Armor All without covering the whole surface. It looked horrible, plus the odor from the dirty rags lingered the whole day. The leather looked the same way. There was not a consistent shine, just a bunch of rag streaks. Who knows if there was really some leather protectant on the seats. For $70 plus tip, it is a horrible value. If you must go here, stick to the $30 dollar wash and vacuum. OLIVE, CHESTERFIELD LOCATION... Took my vehicle this afternoon in order to wash off the salt and dirt from the last artic blast. I wish I had taken it somewhere else... The service is terrible. I paid $22 plus another $4 to clean the rubber matts. When I went to pay the bill, I had been charge an additional 2 dollars because my vehicle is an SUV. Funny how I was not told that when I asked... So, ok, charge me $28,but at least make me feel like you are doing your best to clean my vehicle (NOT A CHANCE).... The going man waved the towel, I walked towards my vehicle, and saw dirt and grime still on the grill, door handles, lift gate etc... I looked inside and yes, the rubber matts were cleaner but soaked wet (which in itself is a safety hazard, if your shoe slips and pushes the gas instead of the brake. The carpet under the rubber matts was dirty. I reached into my pocket, took put a few dollar bills, gave them to the kid and drove away WORSE WASH EVER. YOU LOST YET ANOTHER CUSTOMER, ALTHOUGH I DON'T THINK YOU CARE.. read more

Just amazing service. They do a phenomenal job, while having some of the friendliest, helpful employees in any establishment I have ever been into. I will drive to this location just because of how much I love the service, even though it's a little out of my way. 33 dollars for basically everything you need.... Outside washed, inside vacuumed, and wiped out... You leave and your car looks branch new. Love it. Then if something happens, or nothing at all happens, you can come back and get the exact same wash within 5 days, no questions asked... For free!! How awesome is that!! read more

I've always been pretty happy with the service here. I definitely think it depends on your car wash AND the type of car you have though. If you sit and watch how the cars come out, where they go, the type of cleaning done, and who does the cleaning... It's apparent the nicer the car/wash the better job you get. I have a relatively nice car and we always get the wash the includes the wheel deal and everything below. So after my car goes through the wash it goes towards the far end of the lot where there is at least one additional manager and what appears to be more experienced washers. I've seen how the cars down there get more attention (partly because they get the more intensive wash) but also because they're nicer cars generally speaking. Typically at the far end of the lot you see Audi, BMW, Mercedes, ect while at the front by the building it's older cars that are like Toyota, Mazda, ect. Just a thought. Now this doesn't mean that anyone deserves a different wash than anyone but I do think that without proper supervision the kids don't really care and slack off. Like others mentioned it is busy but you shouldn't feel bad about making them re-vacuum or wipe down something... After all you paid for it!! Now I've always had a good experience. I wish they had a blow dryer thing to get the grooves between the doors and hood where water hides. That's only because sometimes it drips out when I drive off later and leaves streaks. I've definitely had them wipe water drips and re-wipe windows so I get my money's worth! The one thing I really don't like is because my car typically is at the far end it is difficult to see the kid raise his arm saying it's done. I think they should have a LCD screen in the lobby that they can just type or touch a button by the car for a Make/Model and it appears on the screen. That way it's easier to tell. I've never met a rude person here. Of note: it's a one way street on Olive and you can only get here coming from hwy 40. Also, you need your membership card to get gas and inside when you check out for the wash (if you're a member). They can look up your ID if needed though. I think it's a great way tinkers your car fresh and happy for life! read more

Took my car there and got talked into a $35 upgrade. The kids washing and cleaning rushed through the process and when they were done, I found at least 6 important areas that they had not cleaned out, leaving dirt on the back seat, not even touching the center console which still had fingerprints, food leftovers and lots of dust still on the dashboard. I think they hire these kids young and don't look over their mediocre work. Will not come here again. I think my own kids would have done a better job for a lot less money!!!! read more

I signed up for a car wash membership. After 1 month, I changed jobs and cancelled my membership through the location I bought it through. I talked to the customer service rep at the cash register and bought coupons instead. I received membership charges for 3 more months. I wrote a letter and took it to the location, I called corporate and could not get the membership cancelled. I have now been fighting with them about charges for a membership I didn't use 1 time for almost a year now. This merchant in my opinion is unethical and I would not do buisness with them. read more

Bad from the initial customer service as I pulled up into the property. After paying $65 for something called a "VINYLEXPKG" (not offered as a published package) where the inside vinyl would be wiped down, I asked what else I was to receive for the additional $32 on top of $33 "Whole Thing" package. They indicated that was it. Ok. So I got in my car only to pull forward 10 feet to wave over the guy in the lot who wrote up the order. I pointed out areas on the dashboard and doors handle that were clearly untouched as well as the back floorboards that were very poorly vacuumed according to anyone's standards. I told him this is unacceptable and that I won't be coming back. BTW - my car was not dirty to begin with so it was easy to identify what was attempted to be cleaned. I then drove 30 minutes home only to think about whether or not the trunk of my 4-door sedan was vacuumed. Once parked in my driveway, I popped the trunk and was not surprised to find out that Waterway never opened it as several leaves where in the middle of my empty trunk. Why is it to so difficult for people to do the basics??? is it mental laziness?, physical laziness? incompetence? complacency? BTW-I'm a 50 year old man that has never written a review on the internet, but felt compelled to write my first one today. I suppose I should give the automated machine a "3' star rating for assumed consistent mechanical operations, but a "0" for the series of humans involved in the process.
