I asked the young lady that took the order whether it's large or if I pay more would it be larger and she said all the sprays are the same size and if you pay more, they would just add more flowers but the size would be the same. So, I asked her to charge me more for more flowers $300 and go from there. Told her it's for a young man who has passed away and I want it to be special. After calling someone to make sure they can do this arrangement due to the fact that they were very busy with weddings that weekend, She assured me that it would be done and made special. She even said that they have all the flowers in-season to be able to make this spray. At he church service on Friday I was so EMBARRASSED by the arrangement. It was small and not balanced (maybe it was missing the leaves around it... not sure) but it looked terrible or maybe the florist just didn't take the time to arrange in properly. I think they should not take additional business when they cannot handle it. I know the cost of a funeral spray does not compare to the revenue they get for a wedding but this was important to me and I wanted something special for my loved one. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to take a picture because I did not want anyone associating those flowers with me. After calling the store, a couple of people (Regina and then Mark) called me back and just apologized; At first offering to refund me 50% but then rescinding that offer. Their messages mentioned that I was charged appropriately for the arrangement and they would contact me but I never heard back after leaving my review. There should be better training of their staff when a customer orders so they do not give the wrong information about the size of an arrangement and also, not take on additional business when they cannot handle it. Think twice about ordering a one-off arrangement from here; their focus is only on big-ticket revenue from weddings.

I think that another thing to call out is how they handle things if something goes wrong. Recently, there was a delivery date mixup and an arrangement was delivered a day early. I called Granara's and the manager drove over himself to pick them up before my wife saw them. They delivered an even nicer arrangement the next day. I contrast this with a florist we used to deliver flowers to relatives out of state. The flowers never arrived, and the shop owner fought it, didn't help at all, and I finally had to get a credit card refund. Today I had a large, mixed arrangement delivered. Ordering something other than roses really highlights how impressive a job Granara's does. The mix of orchids and other flowers really pops - totally worth the money! Granara's delivers top quality arrangements with great service, support, and delivery. I've used others in the area and no one else comes close.

He threw his cap at the floor, walked away from us at the register, and tried ignoring us to make us go away while there were others in line. I asked him not to raise his voice at us too. This was after he had charged us more than what was stated on the price tag of the bouquet. We paid it since wanted that bouquet in particular. This exchange overall felt very disrespectful. We had bought 10 peonies here for $67 dollars. The peonies here are $30 a bunch (5 pc). This is quite overpriced, as they are resold from another vendor. The quality of the flowers was also not great. One bunch of peonies had mold growing on it, meaning it had been there for awhile. We have bought fresher peonies at Whole Foods before. I don't recommend -- buying flowers here ruined my day, and that's the opposite point of buying flowers.

I ended up going with him as he wanted me to choose the color this time and see all the varieties (I'm a big flower girlie). They were obviously busy with it being Valentine's Day, I chose a bouquet that was on the floor displayed. I ended up wanting it in a small arrangement because the vase they were in was extremely large with a lot of extra not necessary greenery. Of which they happily downsized the vase. The two down sides were that we actually brought back the 2 large vases that were used for the proposal to downsize. They didn't even consider giving a slight discount for returning the vases and better yet, when we asked them to downsize the bouquet we got, the worker said the price would remain the same at $250. I let all of this slide and accepted the new downsized roses at that price and allowed them to take the two larger vases off of our hands. Sadly lees then a week later, these $250 downsized roses have completed wilted & are dying. A much different experience compared to the gorgeous roses I had received during my proposal. Over all very disappointed in how they handled the vase swap and rose downsizing with no thought into maybe giving us a slight discount. But now with the roses already dying just a week later, I would find better quality roses at my local Trader Joe's for $15 a bouquet.
