My husband and I needed to have accent walls painted in our new house before furniture was moved in. I found Nate on Yelp and was impressed with his examples. He came to our house, we showed him our selected walls and we gave him color swatches from Lowes. He was able to match the color and purchase all the paint he needed for the job. Conveniently all of the paint, drop cloths, brushes, rollers, etc. were included in his estimate. When we couldn't close on our house due to a bank delay he was able to reschedule the job on short notice. I have to say that Nate is amazing! We booked him for a paint job and he was available when needed! We were happy with his price from all the other quotes that we received. He was on time every single day and he got the job done in the time frame specified. Yes, we had Tidy Painters paint our kitchen, laundry room and little bathroom. Both Nathan and Hector did an awesome job! They were able to do it in two days. The prep work, painting and cleaning. They are very hard workers and love their work. The rooms now look clean and fresh. We had our little bathroom painted all pink and it came out pretty and just beautiful. The white light lamp, light switch, cabinet and curtains are now able to be showcased due to the solid coloring of the room. More than happy with Tidy Painters' paint work. I am so confused with all the positive reviews because of my interaction with Nathan. But at the same the reviews did prompt me to get an estimate from Nathan. Got the quote yesterday and called him this morning regarding the quote. After 2 minutes on the phone and asking him that I would like him to put in writing the guarantee on the work he abruptly said "okay I'm going to hang up now". It took me a few seconds to realize that he was just being rude. I told him I dont appreciate him speaking to me that way and that I would rather not do business with him. He agreed. And that was it. Don't know the quality of his work but I don't do business with people who are dismissive and outright disrespectful. read more

With a quick summary of requested work and a few uploaded pictures, I had a quote for painting a bedroom's walk in closet and bathroom. Was told he'd let me know by Tuesday when he could come out later in the week to complete the job. He contacted Tuesday AM saying he'd be there Friday at 8:30am. Nathan did a a great job with our bathroom and bedroom. He was precise with lines which I know is important especially to my particular significant other. He left everything as he saw it. We chose racoon fur (almost black) in one room and he even painted with barely any light. I even threw at him a tiny chair rail line in the bathroom and he made it happen. I can't say I am very happy with Tidy Painters. Yes, Nathan's prices are more affordable, but I've also had to deal with a lot too, which almost makes the lower price not worth it. First of all, when I met Nathan and he came over to give me the quote, I had explained I wanted two colors for two rooms(kitchen and living room). At the time I didn't know which walls I would paint what, so I told him I would post it the walls when he comes to paint. He quoted me $700. Then when he came and saw I wanted 4 walls blue and the rest white, he said I owed him $150, which was a little odd, but I did it because it was the day of and Nate was already in my home. He waited over two months to cash the $150 btw, which was a little inconvenient. The least he could have done was reach out to me and let me know since he was cashing it so late. Also, It's kinda strange that the name is "Tidy painters" when Tidy they were not. My house was left in shambles. Picture and all my personal belongings thrown everywhere. It was clear that my things did not matter at all. I had paint on my floors as well as my granite countertops. I sent many texts and pictures to Nate showing the mess of my home and the paint all over my house, he didn't seem very concerned. He blamed it on the other painter that he hired to do the job with him. Nate should have been there the entire time and that painter worked for him, so I still hold Nate responsible. The actual paint on the walls was pretty good, though I noticed about 4 mistakes that he said he would fix, but never did. If you are looking to save money, maybe give Nate a try. Just be prepared to pay more than agreed upon and roll up your sleeves to clean up after them after. I have a huge yellow stain on my curtains too, and when I asked him about it he denied that was him, yet I am certain it was since my home is very small and I'm the only one living there. Massive stains on my belongings are noted. I think it be better to hire him prior to move in, so none of your belongings get messed up. I post both positive and negative reviews, so keen observation, Nate. I do so because as a consumer, I know I appreciate honest reviews to help me decide where I'll give my business to. I sent you about 20 pictures and you had ample time to fix all your mistakes before I posted a review. I hope you'll be more professional with future clients! read more

I did not have same results as other reviewers. Seemed like a blow and go hack to me. Agreed to patch, prime, and paint, which is pretty standard. Reality was little to no patching, cracks, nail holes etc. left and painted over. Actually no primer either I suspect since a small scrape on wall showed original color and no primer. Ceiling may not have been fully painted and just in spots I suspect as well since I can still see fingerprints by ceiling light! Not all that tidy either since paint on woodwork not to be painted and discovered tracked on wood flooring in hallway after he left. I was planning on having him back for larger job but that will never happen. Since I have to now patch, repaint and clean paint off other surfaces. He was cheap, and fast, but so was his work. I do not recommend. We did go over details, you said patch, prime, paint. That was not done. I did not threaten you except to say I may contact state licensing board. If you are legit that is no treat. I stated that after you ignored me . Areas of paint not painted properly and original color showing thru so I know you did not prime. Nail holes everywhere. Paint on top of wood closet door and in hallway on floor. Yes I have pets that were locked up all day in my bedroom. You knew that from the start. And asked to see animals etc. Never stated that was a problem. There is no smoking in my house. If this was your best work you are not very professional. Seems to me you did a quick dirty job and I'm not impressed. Instead of offering to make it right you ignored me. read more
