Scary place to leave your dog for anything ! I am serious! The owner is very unprofessional and has no compassion for the animals. I brought my elderly yellow lab in to get her nails trimmed and they talked me in to getting her bathed also. Same thing ... asked me to pay up front and provide a tip prior to the service . Which I didn't . When came back 3 hours later, my dog was in a cage , waiting for her nails to be clipped. When the owner pulled her out , the other girl that works there said," it might be difficult to get her onto the table because she is older " but the owner manhandled my baby up onto the table as she let out a "cry " in pain! I immediately said oh "god don't hurt her legs .." The owner basically acts like she doesn't understand you . I brought my dog here because our usual groomer is booked solid through the holidays and it had already been waaay too long since she had a bath. I looked and found this place and they had an opening. I saw the reviews and was a little nervous but my girl needed a bath. I booked the cost. OMG. Super friendly staff. Check! Up front about what needed to be done. check! They called 2 hours and 45 minutes later to say she was done. 15 minutes before the expected time! I come in and I hardly recognize my baby. SHE IS GORGOUS!! Super duper soft beautiful puppy cut with long ears and tail. I love it! DANGER TO BRACHYCEPHALIC BREEDS!!!! If I could have called the police I would. I was already unimpressed when I walked in, dirty, the tubs were not clean and the floor was gross. The shampoo was in unmarked bottles so I couldn't see ingredients or brand. The scrub brush given to me for self wash was covered in another dog's hair. The towels were thread bare and had holes. While I was bathing my dog another English Bulldog was waiting in a plastic kennel, on its side having a really tough time breathing. My dog is also an English so I was already worried for this dog having overheated in the frankly really humid space not to mention he was in a plastic crate with a cracked door but no air holes, it looked like a repurchased display area. The owners were on the phone and came in right as the dog STOPPED BREATHING. I don't know if this dog survived but I pray he has and I will never ever come back. I cannot warn people enough. Doesn't look like much from the outside and when you walk it's even worse. I took my 2 medium sized dogs and first thing they had me do was put them in these see thru cages. Keep in mind one of my dogs is a rescue and I don't keep my dogs in cages so he was a little hesitant to go in. The lady there then takes the leash to take over and she is just yanking him and I tell her she's chocking him & all she says is 'I know'...I am able to calm them down and have them stay but when it comes to showering them my dogs were just not having it and they proceeded to ask me if I can stay and assist. I was 8 months pregnant by the way like the whole reason I'm bringing them is because I can't do it myself. The whole time I was there it was dogs whimpering and yelping I could barley hear myself speak. Basically these people are way over there heads and don't know how what they're doing. read more

We took our Bichon in today to be groomed. We asked that her head remain fluffy (since Bichon's typically have a full face of hair) and cut her hair around her eyes to clean up the area. We dropped our dog off at 12:30 and came back at 3:30 since they didn't call us. When we arrived she was locked in a cage and we were told it would be a half an hour more. At 4:30 we came back (an hour later) to see that our dogs hair was butchered by the owner. CLEARLY she doesn't know what types of hairstyles reflect each breed of dog. Melissa in the past had groomed two of our dogs and did an amazing job. The owner however did a terrible job and we will not be back. If your appointment is at 12:30 your dog won't be ready until 5pm. I'm completely disappointed with how the owner groomed our Bichon. The shop also made us pay $70- in advance. My puppy got groomed here yesterday and has been acting different lately. Like she's scared. She sits in her crate voluntarily and has never acted like that before. Also, she's constantly licking her leg and foot like she's hurt. Simply avoid this place - far better options out there for self-wash. Here's what just happened today: Today, my wife took our friendly, 7-year old Samoyed to Tidy Tails to leverage the self-wash station - over the years, we've grown accustomed to doing our own grooming because we found that groomers tended to leave her hair matted and unkempt causing much bigger issues. We were excited to find a reputable place via Google in Tidy Tails. Here's the top 3 issues we encountered during the visit: 1. They don't seem to have a flat fee for self-wash! They basically assess a cost for self-wash once they see the type of breed you have. It was never clear how much this service actually costed and it seemed like a decision was made on the spot to assess a fee based on our breed - mind you, we do have a fluffy samoyed. :) 2. After the wash, my wife moved to the blow dryer station and they don't have any kind of tables to position your pet so you can actually dry efficiently. Instead, she had to sit on the floor with the dog to blow dry her. 3. ***Most important*** The owner or manager of this facility approached my wife and let her know that she would not be able to fully blow dry our dog because she didn't want her hair blowing around the store. That to me is unacceptable and defeats the purpose of offering a self-wash option to customers. What's the point in washing a dog if you can't blow dry along with it? To me, this signals laziness because the owner doesn't want to have to actually work to keep the shop clean. I guess it's called "Tidy" Tails because they don't let you actually fully clean your dog! My advice: Just go elsewhere. The lack of drying tables is a big enough pain point, but to have the lazy owner/manager amble over to let us know we will not be able to fully dry our dog despite paying the fee they assessed us is just confusing and in my opinion, kind of useless. I know we'll be happy to spend our money elsewhere where we can have a better experience. read more

Tidy Tails has been a familial grooming destination for us. I think collectively, we've taken 4 different dogs there. And they all did great. The self bathing was always a fun experience and the staff is there to help and encourage, but not condescending like a lot of other dog places can be. I've taken my current dog here twice now. And he's a 70lb coonhound mixed with anxiety! Seriously, noises, strangers, and other dogs give him the body shakes. But he did well didn't panic with everything going on when we got there. Even though he's not the "groom me" type, I still like the full work up of bathing, expressing, and nails. He comes out so soft with his wiry fur. So, more so I appreciate the non judgy, any dog can be pampered here. Cuz he's huge and a hefty boy, and they have done a great job! read more

This place is a DUMP! I walked in and the place reeked! I was already turned off by the odor, but I thought I'd give a small business a chance. That was a mistake! It was cluttered and filthy. There were dogs sitting inside a glass case with barely any room to breathe and there were at least 10 dogs that I could see who were being worked on. My appointment was scheduled for noon and I was told my dog would only take 2-3 hours. I came back 4 hours later after not receiving a call and my dog was still sitting in the crate untouched. Their business hours indicate that they close at 5pm, but my dog wasn't even ready by 5. They told me he had already been bathed and they were just waiting for a cut. He still looked dirty when I arrived. So I left and had my husband return on my behalf. When he arrived, they asked him for a tip before even turning over our dog! Not to mention we paid $70 and his haircut was choppy and botched, he didn't smell good and he's been moping around acting lethargic and different than normal. DO NOT BRING YOUR DOGS HERE! If I can give them negative stars I would! I would even try to get this place shut down! I brought my French bulldog and Shih tzu to this establishment to get groomed. I dropped them off at 1:30 and didn't pick them up till around 6pm! The groomers said they would call when they were done but never did so I decided to call them and they said 1-1 1/2 more hours. By the time I called they were already there for almost 4 hours! They have never taken that long! So I decided to drive there and see what was taking so long. When I got there my French bulldog was panting so hard uncontrollably. Not only that when he stood up he couldn't walk straight and looked like he was going to pass out! The groomer hadn't give my dog water for over 5 HOURS! It was extremely hot in the establishment! My dog was severely dehydrated. He looked disoriented. It wasn't until I showed up and said something that she gave the dogs water. My dog drank 8 bowls of water because he was so thirsty. She did apologize or anything. She gave excuses on why he might be the way he was. From my understand she left him in their dryer for too long. Regardless of what breed the dog is GIVE THEM WATER! When I took my dog home he was too scared to walk and he was in a state of panic. I ended up taking him to the emergency vet to see what was wrong. NEVER AGAIN TAKING HIM TO THIS GROOMERS. I also suggest nobody else does. Unless you want to make a trip to the emergency room. She does not take care of the dogs at all. read more

Treats our dogs like family and takes no short cuts getting our guys dialed in like show dogs (we have 5 freakin dogs) Sam is the sweetest and even comes to our house in Fairfield for in house appointments. We don't trust anyone else with our special pups. When she's done working her magic, these guys look like they're ready for the Westminster dog show. If you love Your pets do not bring it here I brought in my cocker spaniel on Friday 19 October the staff was very unfriendly in addition the place was filthy and it smelled really bad. It took the staff over three hours to groom my dog when I picked her up I could not believe my eyes. I was so upset to what they did to my dog.They completely shaved her and didn't blend her hair. To top it all off she is missing patches of hair on the back of her front paws. This is the height of laziness!!! The poor thing was trembling when I picked her up and normally she does fine when grooming. My dog doesn't even look like her self. She looks like they took her head and put it on a different dog. Never use these groomers!!!. Their customer service is horrible and they do a terrible job. I took my dog in their shop last week. We wanted her pair to be groomed and cut. She is a mixed breed with border collie and something else she's a big girl almost 90 lb. When we arrive to pick her up the shop people put her inside a converted jewelry case. The jewelry case was there countertop where you paid for your services. The dog was underneath we're usually would be the jewelry. The plexiglass was about an inch thick and there was only about and inch Airway going across the top and across the bottom for my dog to breathe she could barely fit in there and she could barely breathe I highly recommend you do not go to the shop. Of course being a new customer and seeing on of the bad reviews I was very nervous leaving Zoe there for hours and being so tiny hoping they wouldn't hurt her. I was referred by a friend who swears by this place so here i am giving it a try. The staff is very friendly! Bo asked me how I wanted Zoe to be cut The staff seems to genuinely care about all the animals! Not the cleanest reception area but the grooming area looks clean Loved puppies new haircut they didn't cut too much off of her face, they didn't an excellent job on her paws.
