Course is likely one of the top for conditions right now (as of June 2025) in DFW. Many courses are losing their greens already. This course was in excellent shape today. Fairways were very lush, and greens and tee boxes were perfect. I also appreciated that the ball washers were plentiful and had good water in them (I'm always amazed when courses have useless/dry ball washers). If I had to be picky, the only small annoyance is the golf cart screen that likes to show a LOT of reminders and directions. I felt like I was constantly clicking through the same reminders between every shot to get to the hole maps and yardages. Other than that, I really enjoyed the course today. read more

The course is absolutely beautiful and kept in great condition but the pro shop attendants need to work at Top Golf instead. One tatted up dude that wouldn't stop calling me "buddy" like I'm a dog and the other acts like you know what your doing and got flustered that I didn't know the range balls were outside of the pro shop. Important to choose the correct tees for your skill level. Tierra Verde is a much better course layout than the mediocre, overpriced Texas Rangers course. read more

Great price for the quality of maintenance. Very lush today in mid April, sand traps are perfect sugar powder and very playable even with recent heavy rain in the last week. Strongly recommend. For reference, played Shady Oaks two days ago which albeit private was 9.5+/10 - this is rank a strong 8.5-9/10 for a public course. I'll play it many times in the future. read more

This is my all time favorite!!! I've played most of the courses in and near the metroplex and it's hard to beat the "Green Land"! I love it here and the staff, all the way from the pro shop to restaurant to the girls in the "snack truck" is awesome! Although I'm not a member, they are friendly and always willing to help! I got caught in a storm and the staff made sure I was aware of a shortcut to get back to the clubhouse quicker! The greens and fairways are beautiful; my favorite hole is 15! Played again this past weekend. City of Arlington is tighter than dicks hat band. Carts are annoying in that they constantly remind you where and how to drive, order something to eat and using the parking brake. Greens weren't mowed, place is soaking wet and range balls hit on mats.......really? Some control freak is running this golf course. read more

My favorite course in Arlington. Very important that you play from the tee box that fits your level of skill....or it could be a long day! Greens and fairways are in fantastic shape and the staff was great to work with as usual. BONUS- the Verdana Grille has great food and is not priced outrageously high...leave time for a hot sandwich after your round. read more

If you are not a member you will not be treated with gratitude for your business. Pro's will not help anyone but the members, while the members we happen to run into were acting like some time of school yard kids, and will treat you as you don't belong. I was very disappointed as I was excited to visit because of the pictures of the course, to only see that it didn't meet the mark. Was looking forward to play this course for weeks, I've always been a fan of Tierra Verde. But things changed when I played today. I am aware there are plenty of changes happening amongst businesses during this pandemic of COVID-19. One of the common changes is one man per cart at golf courses. Which I was prepared for; When I said my girlfriend (whom I live with) will be riding with me, they charged me 30% of what an entire round of golf would cost, even though it was one person per cart and was there just to watch. Taking up no more room than a normal golfer would I was charged for a body in an empty (no matter) what seat. Secondly, the course staff treats the "regulars" with absolute favor compared to any other player that steps on the course. I'm disgusted at how the staff of a "prestigious" good course would treat a new guest because a child of a man "regular" told them to do so. I was looking forward to this course because of previous experiences, but I will never play Tierra Verde again, nor will I play any course in Arlington. Very dissatisfied. read more

Love this course, even though I am a below average golfer. Nice putting area and chipping area. The driving range is large, and the course even has a 3 hole practice range. Best time to come is late afternoon during the week. Green Fees drop a bit in price, and easy to play with another foursome/ It's one of the nicer scenic courses around, and for a public course, it's nicer than some country club courses that I have played at. Excellent course and in great shape as of 4/20/20. Highly recommended. Only complaint I would have is being paired up with a solo in our 3 some. With the virus concerns and just not knowing where someone has been seemed a little odd with all other measures currently in place. read more

The course was is great shape. We played Tour18 yesterday in Flower Mound and had a MUCH better experience at Tierra Verde today. Will never come back, ruined a golf day I was looking forward to. Forced our group of 2 to play with a group of 2 to make a foursome. Then stuck a group of 2 in front of us. Rude and self-important. To be fair, I am reviewing the staff more than the course itself. I've played all the courses of ArlingtonGolf.com hundreds of times, and enjoy the layouts of Tierra Verde, Lake Arlington and Chester W. Ditto, as well as the occasional walk around Meadowbrook Park. That said, the staff at Tierra Verde seem to be delusional. They seem to want you to believe you are playing at a high-end, private course. The price of a round and their frequent evening wine-tasting type events are proof enough. Here's the thing, though; a true high-end establishment treats their customers (especially the loyal ones) with respect, APPRECIATING that they have many other options. I've been a member of their frequent player club since it's inception. I will not renew it again. On a beautiful day, I tried to use my "complementary round" issued with my frequent players club renewal. Being Saturday, I knew I would have to wait until after one PM to use it at TV. (Another implication of their deluded self-importance.) Being that there was no answer in the clubhouse when I attempted to make a tee time, I drove to the course. As I passed #1 tee, it was empty. I thought I was in business. "I'm a single, the first tee is empty...surely they can put me with a group.' RIGHT? In the clubhouse, I wait to speak with the pro behind the counter as the marshall rants to him about groups stacked up around the course. Finally I get to ask if he can squeeze me in somewhere. He sighs, looks at his board and gives me a possible time 55 minutes from then. Okay...I know it's a pretty day in Spring. I know I don't have a tee time. I GET IT. But there is still no-one on the tee. Groups are putting, chipping, on the range...all over, but not on the tee. I decide not to wait the better part of an hour, and said in passing, "it was a pretty day, and I thought I'd at least try." His reply was, "like you're the only one thinking that today." Seriously?! I'll put up with a lot for a "free" round, but not condescension and disrespect. I WILL redeem my PAID FOR round, but not at Tierra Verde. And if a playing partner REALLY WANTS to play there someday, I'll go back. Hopefully they'll figure out what size britches they really have, and quit running off repeat business. It's not like me to hold a grudge...oh, wait...YES, IT IS. read more

The greens and the fairway condition at Tierra Verde were excellent even in the middle of the Texas drought season when the temperature was 105+ without rain for many weeks. The greens were in near perfect condition and the fairway ground was pretty soft as if it had rained just a few days ago. The layout is interesting and some of the holes are visually impressive as well. My favorite is the 10th hole; bunkers are everywhere and I always put my ball in the bunker, but the hole looks just like one from a picture book. The road is not visible from any hole and for the most part, you cannot even hear the cars. Overall, Tierra Verde is a very good value course. The course condition is excellent with five tee boxes that can accommodate golfers with any skill level. The course is comparable to good courses in DFW area, but way less expensive. read more

Me and my brother played today at 1:30 and had a blast! When we pulled up we were greeted and given a cart, the two men that helped us were very friendly and helpful. The help in the pro shop was very nice and did a great job on giving us the run down and location of everything. Driving range was in great shape and had plenty of room. Putting and chipping green areas were huge with plenty of room for everyone. Once on the course we were very pleased with pace of play and over all condition of the course! Was told the greens were punched 3 weeks ago and could hardly tell, everything rolled true. The cart girl was awesome, saw her multiple times and was very friendly. Overall a great experience today, very affordable and would recommend to all! We will be back soon that's for sure! read more

A hidden gem of Texas Munis. Long, narrow, well maintained, perfect greens and no houses on the course. I love the feeling that you're out there all by yourself. Huge putting green, nice short game area with 2 bunkers and a solid driving range. Food is solid and cart girls are nice. Love this course! This must be one of the most nature-intensive courses in the DFW area. I know it holds the "Audubon Signature" status for being eco-friendly. Every hole is surrounded by nature.. it's very hard to see other holes or other golfers from any hole. It's not the toughest course.. but is challenging enough.. and utilizes the rolling hills and native vegetation quite well. I would play this course every time if it was closer to Dallas.. as it is about 40 minutes from Downtown. The staff was very cool.. and I just really can't say anything remotely bad about this place.. just trying to figure out when I can go again. The course was manicured extremely well.. I guess if anything I wish there was GPS on the carts.. or at least better hole maps and yardage sticks. This one beats Texas Star in my book and is my favorite in Dallas for less than $80. read more

Do not play here! This use to be a really nice course but I think they fired their greens keeper. The greens are hard a beat up. Tee boxes are hard and full of broken tees. On top of that they charge way too much. Very disappointed on how this place turned out. read more

Tierra Verde is a quality golf course that features a nice variety of holes and a good practice facility. We played a scramble there a couple of years ago (we won with a solid 54) and I really enjoyed the golf course. We played there again about a year ago and from the scramble I remembered the course to be a little more enjoyable. The course would get a 4 if it had that "special something' to set it apart from all the other courses in the DFW area. I recommend playing this course at least once, you might really like it. read more

I have played this golf course as long as it has been open. I have never seen this golf course in worse shape. The greens are horrible and most of the tee boxes are even worse and not much grass. With the rain and cool weather we have had it's unbelievable that this course is in this bad a shape. They are charging $55 for weekday green fee and around $70 for weekend not worth it. Save your money and play some place else. The city of Arlington needs to get this course back in great shape or lower the green fees. read more

Very nice course and in fantastic condition. The food service could use some help. One of the folks playing with us ordered a hotdog at the turn at about noon and they had to drive it out to hole 12. One of the better muny's you will ever play. A pleasure to play as long as you drive it straight. Tee boxes are a little daunting as there are lots of forced carries and the trees narrow your vision down to a very small window on most holes. The greens are ok...not fast but in good condition. Pace of play - expect a long round. Price - I believe it was in the $60 range. read more

i gave this course a 4 star from the staff and course condition alone. My buddies and I play from the tips and are mostly scratch golfers. So, any one who tells you they had a good experience who is not close to scratch must have had a career day. This course is tight. Tighter than any PGA course. If your ball is Twenty yards off the fairway, it is gone. I would tell any one to play this course, it is great. However, leave the driver at home or else bring your favorite two dozen referbed balls. No bail out areas. period. I shot 83 and three buddies sprinkled 79 and two 84's. These are college golfers. So have fun and enjoy the ammenaties, but bring some balls! literally and otherwise... read more
