Why would I wish to discuss the matter further, since it won't do any good? Just look at the ratings of this hospital. Look at how many dissatisfied people are posting and receiving a generic reply. How about insisting nurses treat their patients with care, compassion and empathy? How about giving mandatory in-service classes regarding these valuable traits? it would go a long way towards building trust and comfort-particularly for terminal patients and their families. If it had been up to me,he would've been removed from the premises immediately after having requested pain medication for him, and being told he was going to be given Tylenol. It was known that he was in agonizing pain. It was known that his cancer had metastasized. He was agitated and in terrible distress, and it was all traded very cavalierly. What is Tylenol going to do for him besides nothing? 45 minutes later, there was still no sign of the Tylenol. As I stated before, this is unacceptable and absolutely disgusting. To top it all off, his nurse was told twice his catheter had become separated, and bodily fluids were leaking all over his bed. While she twice acknowledged she was aware his catheter was leaking, she made no move to fix it. Whatever happened to common decency and treating others with dignity? For context, my mother, sisters, and myself all worked in hospital settings for years. I have never seen such egregious disregard in a hospital setting. Absolutely outrageous and inexcusable.

I've been under the care of Dr. Buten. I appreciate his efficiency, but also his time to care about my health and goals. I feel like he strikes a great balance with not spending forever at the doctors office, but also gets the job done. I've primarily only visited with him, so can't speak for the PA staff, but think his care is great. He is also very responsive on the portal, which is much easier than calling--love that feature! All of the staff are courteous and nice when I've had to come in. It's somewhat easy to get an appointment within the week or so. Office is clean and organized. Usually don't have to go too often, but glad I've found a place that is comfortable for me to go to!

When I tried to make an appointment it would have been 3 weeks before he had time available. I told them all I needed was to renew my prescriptions. So they told me Alison the PA could help me with that. At least she was able to see me within 5 days. And it didn't start well with her but it ended well. First of all, the chart that she reviewed before seeing me wasn't mine but she corrected it. Second, with the new Memorial Care system, some of my information was missing so I had to let her know how much MG some of my medication was...annoying. What I like about Alison was she was very thorough. She had requested all my lab test and one blood test that was the latest in testing for cancer. Today, I got my results back from Quest (which took 2 weeks), let's see if they follow up on my results. I guess no news is good news. If no one follows up I will definitely switch providers. In the meantime, I'll go on Quest website and see if I can figure it out.

SCKE - Worst Medical Experience - 0/10*…read more My wife and I had a terrible experience at this facility. We were given a 4:00 PM appointment by the doctor herself, yet were made to wait over an hour with no explanation or apology. We were never seen by the doctor, She refused to review recent bloodwork from Hoag ER and instead sent us for new labs unnecessarily, wasting our time and money. This isn't the first issue. A few months ago, this same office ran a thyroid test on my wife and sent us to Hoag ER. Hoag re-ran the test and told us the results from SCKE were completely inaccurate. Two major errors affecting the same patient is unacceptable. Patients deserve respect, accurate testing, and doctors who value their time. We experienced none of that here. Don't mistake the staff for an amazing Dr! Dr. Yacoob has been my Dr since 2009 and my fiancé & his daughter for ??? ever. As soon as I saw her, she knew what was wrong with me. Which I've struggled with my entire life. I truly adore her like a mother. She's that warm & comforting. If she retires-- When she retires, I'm going to be sad. We almost switched to Kaiser, since all the issues with insurance companies currently, and every time I thought of it, my eyes tested up. Due to that, we ended up staying on our current insurance for her! THE ONLY REASON! There's other Dr's in the office but she is the one that is ALWAYS in demand. This review is for a doctor at Hoag Woodbridge, but I've also consistently had positive experiences…read more-- prompt, respectful, kind -- interactions with all of the front desk staff, nurses, and physician's assistants I've interacted with here over the past 5 years. I have struggled all my life to find a PCP who made me feel heard and who gave me clarity and treatment plans that worked for me until I met Dr. Amanda Khosravi. She has been my PCP for several years now and treated me through different life stages, so I have a good amount of evidence with which to recommend her wholeheartedly. In fact, I've not only opted for more expensive insurance plans when I switched jobs just so I can continue seeing her, I've also recommended my husband, mother-in-law and a number of friends to her. Here is why I think she is an exemplar of a doctor: Dr. Khosravi has an investigative, holistic, and empathetic approach to figuring out what may be the root cause of my health issues. She clearly has encyclopedic clinical knowledge as well as strong clinical acumen in the way she pieces together all the potential factors and asks me about factors I didn't even realize where potential contributors. On health issues where other doctors have shrugged their shoulders after (sometimes literally) a 30 second dialogue, she has helped me understand the issue and the treatment options. In addition to the superb clinical care, she is genuinely kind and empathetic. Going through health issues is for many of us emotionally triggering, and I've unintentionally cried or felt embarrassed during my appointments, and she always makes me feel safe and heard. Both the what and the how of her approach to caring for patients result in hope and ability to leave a better quality of life. Finally, she is consistently proactively mindful of the economic burden of healthcare, which is sometimes an unspoken barrier to actually following the steps to getting treated. Though we don't know each other personally and I'm sure I'm one of ten thousand, if not more, patients she sees a year, I feel as if she cares of me as if I were her family member. In short, Dr. Khosravi is thorough, brilliant, and empathetic. I'm deeply grateful to have her as my doctor.

Ever since I went to this office, it is about how they get paid. Just to let you know, my co-pay is $25 and it does not matter to me the cost of the service, but it does matter how I get treated for the cost of service. So, I learned quickly that when I go to this office, I pay upfront and ask if there are any outstanding or extra charges to pay for. I will always pay in advance!! Well, months later, I get a bill in the mail stating I did not pay for my $25 office visit. Upon looking at the date in question, I investigated my bank statement, I saw that I had indeed paid. I copied the payment from my bank statement, and also a copy from the bill. Faxed it to them to let them know I paid in full as I always do. Well, I receive a call later, stating that the dates they had were wrong. It was another date they had in mind. When I questioned that date and validated it with payment, they came up with another date. This office is about money, not the quality of care. If you are ok with that, then this is the office for you. I would rather go to an office that CARES about the patient FIRST, the quality of care, then the billing.
