The most unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful staff I've ever dealt with at a doctor's office. It's hard to believe anyone would willingly choose to come here given how badly the receptionist behaves. If you're unlucky enough to get assigned to this office through your insurance like we were, just pray you never need an emergency visit or have to call them for anything urgent. When we called about an emergency visit, the receptionist's response was basically "just switch to a different doctor" -- no help, no urgency, nothing. It honestly felt like she thought she was working at a call center, not a doctor's office. Would give zero stars if I could. Avoid if you have any other option. read more

Dr Farrokh and his staff were very unprofessional. I had to wait to be seen for 45 minutes and then had to wait another 15 minutes in the room. Dr F seemed preoccupied and I didnt feel like I had his full attention during my visit. On top of a terrible in-office experience, I was billed in error and had to fight with the insurance company to get everything straightened out. Fair to say that I will not be seeing Dr F again and will find a new local provider. read more

One of the worst doctor and staff working there. Absolutely no knowledge of insurance, not helpful people. They told me my insurance is very good and I can take whatever tests with a very minimum cost (400$). They prescribed many blood tests that I had not asked for and I do not have the knowledge to understand if I needed those or not. They mislead me on that regards. Finally I received a bill from radiology, labcorp, and the office with the total of 1300$!!! My mom has been going here for a while, she really likes the Dr, but unfortunately his staff is a joke. The staff never seems to get better only worse with every new hire. Pay the staff a little more money so your office isnt seen as a joke. They can never give you an answer about everything, they claim to not have an office exchange, when they clearly do. They all say they are new and are not sure and will call you back in 30 min., hours or days can go by before anyone calls you back and that is only if they call you back. I went to his office 4 months ago for a few tests and a vaccine! They gave an appointment pretty fast and that's why I decided to visit the Dr. I haven't got treatment to comment on that but based on my experience with the office, I think if you decide to go to Doctor avoid this office and his personnel! They charged me for a vaccine in cash through Venmo and later on when I showed them the statement from my Insurance company they had to refund me! I called their office every day, sent so many emails to make them move forward with sending back my money! Finally, after all my efforts they sent the check which never got to my hand, first they said to pay $25 so that we issue another check for you, again after containing them for so many time they said to come to the office to pick up the check we will not send you the check for the second time!! seriously?? are you a doctor? who does that with his patients during the pandemic?? I moved to Irvine a few years ago, and in doing so I needed to change my PCP, I was told about this doctor and since it was conveniently close to my home I decided to give him a try. Well, I should have trusted my instincts and looked him up first before accepting him as my PCP!!! When I first called to make an appointment (MAY 2015) the person who answered the phone right off the bat, seemed to be bothered that she even had to talk to anyone! She answered the phone like it was her personal phone, not a doctors office and all I got was "hello?.... why are you calling?". I asked her if this was Dr. Farrokh's office and said "yeah...". Just like the other Yelper's here, I had a horrible encounter with the staff (Kardashian wanna-be's) and the Doctor. I really felt like he didn't want to hear what I had to say and whenever I tried to reveal something about my medial history that could be relevant to the symptoms I was experiencing, he just kept telling me "... oh, no miss, not now, we will discuss this next time you come.." How can you say that to a person? Are you not supposed to have all the facts as a medical doctor in order to help your patients as much as you can? Before I left his office I insisted that he would order a full blood panel draw and that he would add to the order a full thyroid check and other things, at first he hesitated, but I was very insistent. He gave it to me and I went to get my blood drawn a few days later. When I called his office to see about the results (mind you it had been a few weeks after the fact), I was told by the unapologetic and rude woman on the phone, that "I don't know what results you are calling about, when we get the results back from the lab, we will call you!" I went to his office on Nov 18, for get consult about pneumonia vaccine, before he came, his nurse shut me . After 10-15 min he came and told me you have to pay $80 because your insurance is not covered. I told him I wanted to ask you is it necessary or not but your nurse shot me before I talk to you. You should let me know about coverage before injection, and I told I don't have any money. Dr. got angry and told me; I'm not your doctor anymore, change your doctor. Worst doctors visit I have ever been to. Don't see this guy. Back in February I was working out at the gym and went a little too hard. A couple days later I notice a bugle on my left ribcage and stopped excerising completely (I was going tot he gym 4-5 times a week before then). I went to see a doctor a week later and he said it seemed like Costocondritis, an inflammation under the ribcage, gave me medicine and told me to come back in two weeks if it didn't improve to get x-rayed to make sure it wasn't anything serious. I go out of town for a few weeks and upon coming back my condition hadn't improved. I had troubles with my insurance and finally in early april I get an appointment for April 30th. Seeing as my condition hadn't improved and my doctor telling me he wanted to do an x-ray, I figured I'd go to the urgent care next door to get it looked at. So I go on a thursday afternoon. I go in and have two nurses or a nurse and doctor or whatever look at my chest and say I should take 400mg etodolac daily, "but it's ok if you take it every other day too". I didn't leave too confident and so I go back two days later. This time I get a doctor who after examining my chest told me to take 800mg ibuprofen 3 times daily until my appointment, and if it didn't improve I should request a catscan. So Today I walk in for my appointment explain everything to the nurse. Doctor comes in and asks me the same questions she did, then when I tell him "All the other doctors believe it's Costocondritis". He says "yea that's probably what it is." I tell him I've had it for 2 months now and he said "this can take 3 or 4 months to heal, it's not a quick process." He feels around on my chest for 10 seconds and says "You're fine, you can go back to your workouts and do whatever you want to." I tell him "every doctor I've seen has told me to get it scanned, should we not do that?". He told me "no it's ok, you've had it for about a month now (wasn't even listening to me when I told him I had it for 2), you look healthy it's nothing." I asked about the rib sticking out of my chest and said it was my anatomy and that I probably havn't noticed it before and that because I don't have pain that's just how my body is. No shit I don't have pain, I'm taking 2400mg of Ibuprofen daily. He then leaves and when the nurse comes in I ask her if I can get a catscan or X-ray or SOMETHING because both doctors I saw before (that actually looked at my chest for more than 10 seconds) said I should request one. Nurse leaves to go ask the doctor in the other room and through the wall I hear "He doesn't need one. If he wants one he can pay $1000 for it himself. I find no reason to justify one." I can still feel this thing on my chest and I know for a fact I didn't have this before February. And even if he is right and it's nothing, how about actually looking at a little instead of just poking around on it. Every other doctor was actually concerned and took an in-depth look at it. This one put 0 effort into it. Everyone on the staff was great, the doctor however should seriously take his job more seriously next time and not just "It's all in your head don't freak yourself out over it." Which were his last words leaving the room. Horrible. Also, when I told him I've been insanely fatigued this past week and if it had anything to do with my chest, he said "No that's blood related.... I'll tell the nurse to do some blood tests", nothing ever came of it. I was told I was done after the nurse came back to tell me I would have to pay out of pocket to do something every other doctor recommended so I just left. Worst doctor I've ever had. read more

before i write how i feel about this dr and his staff i think its disgusting and no way to run a business if "yelp" filters my opinion. shame on you yelp! whoever writes one negative word about dr. alemzadeh or his staff needs to wake up and smell the coffee. his staff is patient, respectable, and caring. i have had very unfortunate health issues that started when i was 48 yrs old. that was five years ago ( so i have known and have seen enough drs to compare who is worthy or not. recently i experienced a life threatening complication from back surgery and if it wasn't for dr alemzadeh picking up his phone when his service called him late evening when i was in excruciating pain on my hands and knees i dont know what condition i would be in today. dr alemzadeh immediately called the hospital himself letting them know i needed to be admitted. whenever i needed to see him or get a referral for a certain kind of specialist i never experienced one hestitation and was able to see him that week. this dr makes room for his patients. this dr and his office really cares about the patients and their health. shame on anybody who writes something negative about this dr and his staff..i dont know 1 dr that i didnt have to wait for. shame on every patient that had something negative to write. its obvious some people are miserable with their lives and take it out on yelp. read more
