This is not a negative review against the store- but the quality of the brand. I was given a bracelet by my baby for my 1st Mother's Day. This bracelet had a spring-ring clasp that failed to stay on-twice. The first time my bracelet fell off, luckily it was found. I then took it to the Tiffanys Domain store and sent it off to New York location to be repaired. After it was "repaired" it fell off again and is lost forever. The quality of a clasp on such an expensive bracelet baffles me! I will never buy a Tiffany product again. So disappointed. read more

I was walking by this store noticing that it was much larger than the one in Austin and see through the window holiday decorations. I walk in to the display and see two types of Christmas tree ornaments, one silver and crystal. Next to it was dog leashes and other pet items. Anyway my wife collects holiday charms so I asked the salesperson if they have any this year. She went back to check and decided to check out this large store. The Austin store seems to carry more jewelry where this place had a lot of miscellaneous items like decorations, office items and china. The salesperson returned with an iPad to show me what is in their inventory. She found a few like a penguin and gingerbread man. My wife liked the gingerbread man but not available until December 21, but showed they had a few penguins left. She went back to find it and I continued to browse around. She returned and showed me the penguin. My wife liked it but preferred to the gingerbread man, so will have to return to get it. Very disappointed, I am a returning customer here and typically the Tiffany employees are average on hospitality. But today was disgraceful, first off Andrew, who previously helped out my fiancé when she was getting me a birthday gift. Was just as worse as the first time she encountered him. He neglected us once we first asked for help then completely dismissed us again. We waiting for 10 minutes before being helped out by A. Cabrera(the gentleman never introduced himself) and all I wanted was two scents for my mother and grandmother for the holiday. He was the most disappointing consultant, I asked him to package it up nicely like they always do, Tiffany blue box with white bow tie. However when the package came to my hand it was in a white bag you can grab from cvs and a blue Tiffany bag for I myself to package. Yes I am not getting the most expensive thing Tiffany has to offer but it's all I can afford and this experience was very distasteful and they typically our when I come to this store but at least I get nice packaging and not a white bag. Love this Tiffany & Co location at La Cantera! My first time at this location was a year ago or so when my fiancee and I were window shopping for engagement rings. Everybody at the store was extremely helpful and really took their time to explain to us the importance of the color and clarity of their diamonds, which we had no idea about. After visiting them and stopping by other jewelry stores in La Cantera, it was very clear how much better Tiffany & Co is. Since then, I usually visit this location at least once every two months to get my ring cleaned and checked. The customer service department is always great and helpful, and cleaning usually takes 30-40 min, so I would recommend everyone to drop off your ring before you go shopping. Another amazing thing is that Tiffany offers 10% to all military with official ID which is pretty significant when you are buying a piece of jewelry. They also have their own credit card that gives you 12 months interest free with any purchase, and if you go back and buy something else with your card, they give you ANOTHER 12 months interest free. read more

There really is no better high end shopping experience than at Tiffany. You get treated incredibly well, no matter how you are dressed or what handbag you are carrying. Seriously, it's a really wonderful place to shop if you are in the market for some beautiful jewelry. I don't think anything sparkles quite like Tiffany jewelry. The charms are imaginative and adorable. A few years ago the charms were cheaper but they've all increased slightly in price. Still, very worthwhile if you want to commemorate a special moment. They can do machine engraving in the store but for something special that requires hand engraving they will send it off to New York. It takes about 2 weeks for it to come back. The store will also clean your jewelry for free up to one year from the purchase date and then it's $10 after. Their silver cloth and polish are really great to have and fairly inexpensive. You can make your own silver polish but I'd rather not mess up. They will also replace watch batteries and so forth. They even offered to replace a battery from a watch I didn't even purchase at Tiffany. So sweet. Also if you lose an earring then they will offer a replacement at 50% off. How great is that? The customer service is hands down one of the best. The sales people are incredibly friendly and never pushy. They offer suggestions and never hesitate to take out all the things from the display cases for you to try on. They also package everything really well. One of the sales people told me the first thing they learn is the bow tie on their signature Tiffany blue boxes. Oh yea- I go to Tiffany's all the time. My silver spoon keeps wearing out, and I need sterling on the soles of my boots. The service was amazing. I came in there knowing what I needed for someone who didn't need it. The clerk was incredibly helpful, and courteous. I liked the display cases, no fingerprints on the glass, the place was immaculately clean. Not TOO sure as to how i should start this so I'm just going to jump in and start from day one. My boyfriend and I went in maybe 3-4 weeks ago to look at engagement rings,very excited and eager to work with Tiffany. We've trusted this brand for many years and have purchased 2 other items from this location before with absolutely no issues. On June 28th my boyfriend made his first payment on the ring he had chosen for me (mind you he payed a little over 2,000 and his total was 3,100) they then processed his card and told him they accidentally took all the funds off of his card leaving him with nothing "by accident". After figuring out how to refund his money they said they would take his remaining balance (which they said was only 500) out before refunding whatever else he had that they accidentally had taken. The ring details were then sent out on July 2nd to be made and done in 2 weeks. He received a letter in the mail saying it was ready for pick up and he went in store to pick it up on July 16th. When he arrived he made sure he didn't have any remaining balances and they cleared him saying everything was ready to go and handed him the box with the ring. July 17th he got a call asking him to return it and that he'll receive a full refund because he had a "remaining balance". He went in with the ring to see what was going on and they told him he owed a little over 1,700. They then took the ring from him and tried offering him all this free stuff to try and get him to pay. When at first they said he had only owed the 500,that they would take the 500 out,AND that he was clear and ready to go the previous day. They told him a refund was not possible and that he had to pay them. His father and his bank (USAA) then got involved and they ended up giving him a full refund. I'm very disappointed in the company,being that that is not what i thought they stood for and we heavily trusted them. This also was not just a bracelet or a little charm. This was an engagement ring. Something that should've been taken a lot more seriously. The company lied to us and left us with a horrible taste in our mouths. My boyfriend planned a trip for us,had everything planned out as to how he was going to propose and now everything is gone and horribly ruined. Time is also not something we have right now because he is leaving to the Air Force soon. We had planned on getting engaged before his ship out date. They also did not seem to have much sympathy and treated the situation like it was not of importance. I don't know if any of it had to do with the fact that my boyfriend and I are only 20 and that they thought they could trick us but either way none of this is acceptable and things should've went right from the very beginning. I took it home, and looked at it. Does that de-value the ring? I should have kept it? NOT A SINGLE DISCOUNT. Not willing to work with me at all, besides ALL THE MONEY they wanted. For their 2 mistakes. 1 they took all the money out. 2 THEY GAVE ME THE RING TO TAKE HOME, and was told to give it back?! Awilda- Store Director money was taken. Very disappointed with the customer service at La Cantera today. There was a wait to get my necklace repaired. Don't mind the wait but the sales person who showed me to the seating area escorted another customer in, presed a button and someone came out from the back and helped them immediately ahead of people who were already waiting. Very disappointed at the chaotic way people were stacked up waiting for customer service. Not typical of the usual Tiffany's experience. There were also a group of sales people clustered together at one side of the store chatting with each other and not paying attention to customers. We have since gone back to Tiffanys two more times. Their customer service is so top notch here! They have been so accommodating of our needs while not putting any pressure on us to buy on the spot. We've worked with Donna and Marisol, both of whom have just been so incredibly nice to us. They've even gone as far as shipping in rings that their store did not carry at the time so that we could look at them in person. I was so surprised that they would go above and beyond to do something like that for us. Donna told us that she wouldn't want us to make such a big purchase without being able to personally see the rings first before we made our decision. I know that some pieces at Tiffanys may seem a little overpriced to the outsider, but this customer service makes us feel confident in our purchase and to know that we are backed by the Tiffany's guarantee is also very comforting when making such a large purchase. I absolutely recommend this particular Tiffany's location for their stellar customer service. I've honestly never seen anything like it and that speaks volumes for their management as well as their sales staff. This is the perfect place to get a gift for any girl in your life, or yourself if you like to spoil yourself. The staff is very friendly, even the guards smile and say hello. I came in recently to get a mother's day gift, and the sales lady assisting me was very patient in showing me everything I wanted to see, as well as answering all questions. Another thing I like is that I've never seen them crowded which makes it easier to look around. Now I do think they are extremely overpriced, especially anything sterling silver which is usually cheap elsewhere. But then again if you're coming here you know what you're getting yourself into. They do not stand behind their jewelry. On December 23, 2018 I purchased a sterling pendant chain 16" (item #117-93-21771953) with a sterling horseshoe charm (item #117-31-23754231) and gave it to my daughter as a Christmas gift. She wore the chain & pendant several times until February 2019, two months later, when the chain broke when I was rotating it to move the clasp to the back of her neck. The chain broke very near the middle of the chain, not near the clasp. We brought the chain into Tiffany & Co. at La Cantera, San Antonio, Texas on 5/20/2019 to find out if there was a warranty on the chain. I was directed to the "Service Desk" in the back of the store. A blond female came out of the back door behind the desk area. I explained the situation to her and she said there is no warranty, it is "simply normal wear and tear." I said that it was less than 3 months of use when it broke, but I don't live near the store so this was my first opportunity to come in since it broke. She proceeded to say that she was sorry, but again, just "normal wear and tear" and that is why she "does not buy thin chains, because they break." I asked her "then why does Tiffany's sell them if they are so prone to break"? She said she would go check and see if this was a "known problem" and left for several minutes. When she came back, she said it was not a known problem, but as a courtesy she could mail the chain to the New York store to be soldered and only charge me $25.00 which was half the usual repair charge of $50.00 or I could find my own jeweler to solder it back together. I asked her how much the necklace cost because I received it as a gift and she said she did not know because she worked in "Operations." I declined as I felt that this was going to be another poor investment if I got the chain back and because it is so poorly made, it would break again in another area of the chain. Maybe this chain was just defective since it broke so easily and she said "no one else has come in with this issue." I found the receipt and the chain cost $50.00. I felt very disrespected and demeaned by her attitude, and accusing me of breaking it through "normal wear and tear" after only two months. I have owned many chains from less prestigious jewelry stores than Tiffany's and have yet to have one break. This is the not the experience I expected from Tiffany & Co.. Needless to say, I expected the store to either replace the chain, refund the cost of the defective chain, or repair it at the company's expense. I was extremely surprised that this situation was handled this way. Certainly, I have the funds to purchase a new chain and will do so at a different retail jewelry store in the near future. Tiffany & Co. should be able to back up their products which they claim are "luxury jewelry" made with "expert craftsmanship" since 1837. If this is not a "known issue" with the 16 inch fine chain, then the chain is simply defective which does happen to manufactured items. Since the local store is unwilling to do service recovery, I am reaching out to the Corporate Office via this email to remedy this poor retail experience. No word from them yet. read more

I don't understand how a company can have such exemplary examples of employees and service. I walked in the first time with a dog tag I'd had for years, to get it engraved. I was IMMEDIATELY GREETED AND ESCORTED to their posh waiting area. The woman immediately came out and helped me, a very very short time later the item can back, cleaned to a total polish it looks basically brand new at that point. And the engraving was hand done with a. Diamond cut, it somehow sparkles. But the real shocker was the second visit I just completed, in which I took in an old ID bracelet my father had given to me which was beat to high hell, with nicks and scratches everywhere. Again the lady who originally helped me help me again and took my item in, she was all too kind and complementary of the bracelet, and encourage me that it would look unrecognizable when it came back. I then came back close to a week or two later to pick it up.. as soon as the rep pulled it out of the bag, my eyes opened wide like a kid because this bracelet looked brand new like it had never EVER been used before. I was truly shocked, I still am in fact, it prompted me to actually insinuate that they had replaced the ID part because the nicks and scratches were totally gone and it was just smooth silver. I love the quality and the products at Tiffanys, but this one is just so-so. It's extremely small with an even smaller selection. Having been to, and having shopped at several other Tiffanys stores (including the Flagship NYC location), this one is sub-par. My hubs and I went in on a Sunday once and waited for about 30 minutes just to get service. We finally left, because there just wasn't enough staff to accommodate the few people waiting. I've NEVER had a Tiffany's experience like that before. I just don't think you should have to wait (standing, mind you...not enough seating is available) for an hour to buy pricey jewelry. read more

tiffany & co = hands down impeccable service. when my bf and i strolled into tiffany's on a whim to look at engagement rings, we met andrea, the most friendly, bubbly, and knowledgeable sales professional in the store. she not only walked us through the different cuts and styles, but also explained to us the different certification and grading aspects of diamonds, as well as the specific standards that tiffany's uses to select the diamonds they buy. given that we were both in gym gear and were only really at la cantera to grub kona happy hour, we were surprised at how professional she was and how she treated us as serious customers even though we were really just looking around for fun. little did i know, a few months later, my sneaky bf went in again -- this time to pick out a ring for real. andrea was there again to answer all of his questions and help him choose the perfect ring. since my bf wanted to propose during our vacation to nyc, the manager suggested that he have the ring shipped to the flagship store on 5th avenue and pick it up there, rather than trying to travel with it and hide it in our luggage. it turned out to be the most perfect plan. long story short, we were visiting the flagship store for the first time when my bf left me to go "use the restroom." he actually went up to the top floor to pick up the ring. he then hid it till after dinner that night and proposed in times square, paparazzi photographer and the whole shebang! :) needless to say, i was completely surprised. okk tangent -- but picking the ring up at the flagship store was a genius idea because otherwise, he would have had to constantly keep it on his person during the first few days of our vacation and it might have even come up while going through airport security, etc. so props to mr. t&co manager! and to top it off, the overnight, insured shipping was complimentary! andrea notified us of an upcoming private event at the store for newly-engaged couples. it was a fun night complete with champagne, the cutest little tiffany blue cupcakes, and free portrait photography. as an added bonus, they were offering free hand engraving for any rings purchased that night. we went ahead and picked out my wedding band, but were slightly disappointed to find out that since it had diamonds going all around the band, there was only room on the inside for a few letters. after we left the store with the blue bag in tow, we decided while window shopping to go back and check out rings for my fiance. he hadn't had much luck finding a wedding band he liked anywhere else, so we decided to slip back into the store, with only a couple min left till the end of the event. his ring ended up being a complete impulse buy but he still loves it so it worked out! and it had tons and tons of space in it for engraving. since it was unlimited, we went all out and put my fingerprint (which i ink stamped at home and scanned for them to replicate) and a bunch of other text. the total cost for engraving would have been $2000+ but it was completely complimentary! :) now we both have rings we love that contain unique aspects that are personal and meaningful to us. andrea also threw in free engraving on my engagement ring, even though it wasn't purchased during the event (it fit 3 letters haha). btw, the hand engraving is done only by a small number of trained professionals in nyc and it's insane how small they can engrave. and of course, aside from a selection of fonts and ridiculously intricate monograms/seals, they can do any image you send in! aside from the amazing sales service here, ring cleanings are complimentary at any location, as is buffing (which they send the rings off to nyc to do). if you ever decide to upgrade, rings can also be "traded in" any number of years later, and you get back the full value of what you originally paid (aka no depreciation). the catch is that you have to then spend double the amount of what you originally paid, but it's nice to have that option for the future, especially given that we're still students right now. a couple other pluses were that t&co certifies their own diamonds, so you run no risk of dealing with a sketchy middleman or not getting what you're paying for. additionally, since they adhere to very strict standards (only diamonds "I" or better are accepted and superior standards for clarity are used -- http://www.tiffany.com/Expertise/Diamond/brilliance/clarity.aspx#) you can be assured that even if you are on a budget, your diamond quality will not be compromised. even though tiffany's might be a bit more expensive than your typical jeweler (surprisingly though, not that much more for equal carat size/cut/clarity/color), the pieces uphold their worth in their exceptional and unmatched value, quality, and lifetime service! read more
