Though, I am friends with multiple federal and state law enforcement agents, throughout the state. So, I set my "mental bar" pretty high. I was expecting a gruff, uneducated person, who slept in late, and chain smoked like crazy...you know the stereotype, you see on television shows. But everything about that expectation could not have been farther from the truth. In fact, I was shocked when Matt, of Kelsay investigators called me. He was professional when I spoke to him on the phone and he was perfectly on time, for our scheduled appointment, the very next day. To be honest, I had already hired a different private investigator, when Kelsay Investigations, was recommended to me. But, because Kelsay Investigations was highly rated by my friend, and because Matt was so professional and sincere on the phone, I immediately cancelled with the other private investigator. I must admit, there was tremendous risk, for me, in canceling the other private investigator. Personally, this was a "no fail assignment," so to speak. But, I had faith in Matt and his abilities and the abilities of Kelsay Investigations, after our call. As I mentioned, this was an emergency/rush job and time was of the essence. Not only did Matt show promptly, but he even rearranged his day, when I asked him to meet me earlier than we had originally planned. Matt's depth of knowledge of the law is impressive. In fact, I dare say his knowledge of the law is as deep as any law enforcement agent I've ever met. When I met Matt, the next day, I was a nervous wreck. But Matt calmed me down and gave me tips on how to handle the situation I was in. Most of all, he assured me he would perform a top-notch job. His demeanor and the information he gave me immediately put me at ease. And, as promised, he carried out the job in a flawless manner. To top it off, he hung around, once he was done, to make sure that I was okay after a very emotionally trying episode. That additional time meant the world to me and further demonstrated the professionalism of Kelsay Investigations. Rarely, have I come across a company and an individual as experienced as Matt of Kelsay Investigations. Although, Matt did not divulge any of details of his ongoing or past investigations, it is clear that Matt is an ace in his field. He explained to me the details of being a private investigator and I was astounded at the level of training that is required. In fact, I learned it takes longer to become a private investigator than it does to become a police officer, in many cities and states. But, there was no bravado in Matt's tone or temperament. I was simply curious, how someone could handle a situation in such a "cool and tempered manner." I have a newfound respect for investigators like Matt of Kelsay Investigations. Without a doubt, I wholeheartedly recommend Matt and Kelsay Investigations. I strongly encourage you to contact Kelsay Investigations and speak to them, even if you already have a private investigator you're working with. A second opinion never hurts. Kelsay Investigations are at the top of their field and should I ever need to use them again, I won't so much as flinch about my decision, when I pick up the phone to call them.

His response was quick and honest and he was willing to take the job on at a very reasonable cost, and referred me to Stan. Stan was also quick to respond and we arranged a time for pick up and an ETA. Stan contacted us anytime he had a question about something and sent pics of her in progress. After about 2 to 3 weeks, he was ready to bring her back and we were extremely flabbergasted at how gorgeous she had turned out. When you have a piece of furniture so long and it looks so worn, it's hard to imagine what it could look like beautified. I am attaching before and after pics to show what wonderful work they did, which included completely stripping her, which Stan said was VERY labor-intensive. Unfortunately we had an awful experience with Jaki and cannot recommend her work at all. There were…read morered flags from the beginning but we wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. Please don't make our mistake. Ultimately, Jaki did not understand our vision and kept pushing her design preferences on us. We had to fully create our own PowerPoint deck with reference photos to get our ideas across room by room; source our own tile (when she claimed the design we wanted didn't exist in the tile we wanted); ordered the wrong quantity of products; among many other issues. Additionally when we chose not to use her preferred contractor, she became even more difficult to work with. She claimed she didn't know how to use IKEA's closet building tool to help us build our master closet, was always running late to our meetings; nor did she know how to use Gmail to schedule said meetings. Due to COVID and vendor supply issues our renovation took much longer than anyone expected. But the most egregious and unprofessional behavior was when she quit the job BEFORE any of the fixtures she ordered were even installed. She literally took our money and ran. We were still in the middle of our renovation and had been project managing the majority of the work ourselves. To reiterate-- we paid Jaki in full for her services but she would not even honor returns or exchanges for products that we DID NOT install (because they didn't end up working in our space and were misrepresented in the renderings). In the end, we had to go directly to the vendor ourselves, who graciously honored the exchange given that we had such a terrible time trying to get that through Jaki. The whole experience has been extremely disappointing and we would not recommend her services.
