After seeing some of the negative reviews on here, I feel compelled to share my experience with Tiger Moving, because I thought they were awesome. We are renovating our home and needed to send our large items to storage and the rest of the contents of our home into a POD on our property. When the movers arrived, the POD wasn't there yet, so they actually ended up moving those items twice with zero complaints. It was a Saturday, and they sent 4 guys (after reading some reviews there is no doubt, this was the A team). They thoroughly wrapped and handled all of our furniture perfectly, and we have some HUGE pieces. No complaints. They were professional and personable. I won't deny that we got the B team for the move back, and I only say that because they did a fair share of complaining (amongst themselves), but they still did a fantastic job. We weren't quite ready for some of the pieces and they were nice enough to leave them wrapped in the moving pads so that they are protected from our ongoing construction. They kindly put everything where I asked them to and nothing was damaged. Dina in the office was awesome. Always responsive and helpful. I would 100% recommend Tiger Moving. read more

Tiger Moving and Storage - The furniture that we weren't ready for - Movers Near Me - Parsippany, New Jersey

We moved a few weeks ago and upon the recommendation of our realtor, we had tiger movers. When they arrived at the house the 4 men complained from the get go. I had everything packed and even moved to the center of rooms to make it easier. When I booked the move I showed the manager my decorative bridge I needed moved. He said no problem. This is a sentimental piece and when the men saw it, they took photos and posted them to Facebook. Throughout the day they would call out the comments they received on their posts about my possessions. They left water bottles, tape, tape rolls and moving blankets strewn around my house. We we got to the the new house they complained about the stairs. Most of the boxes were supposed to be moved into my basement but they decided they didn't want to do that and left them in my garage. When I asked them to move them their response was "oh hell no!" They were loud and screamed when they had to lift anything larger than a box and while that's funny, it scared the heck out of my 9 year old. They left the wrappers on numerous pieces of furniture and refused to put things where I asked. They refused to try and put a sofa down in the basement which my husband, my two kids and I moved down on our own. I called the company and wrote and email and got a few moments of concern but never heard back. They didn't care. Use another company or be ready to fight for every inch. I understand moving furniture is not a great profession but you don't bitch to the customer that you don't want to do your job. read more

I give this company 5 stars. I got quotes from many companies and I'm so glad I went with Tiger. I had a lot of problems with my closing and I have to thank Dina, Richard, and Stephen with all my heart for being so accommodating to reschedule my moves. We finally got to the finish line! This company is super professional and courteous. They took good care of all our stuff and baby grand piano in storage, they were very careful and the crew were good natured people. I am unhappy about the three hour delay. The company called me at 305pm and told me the crew was going to arrive between 630p and 7pm when my appointment was for 4pm. I was offered to change it to the next day around noon the next day. I have work like most people at that time. The crew didn't arrive until 730pm. The rep said it was because of snow and that they got a late start. Your crew admitted it was because the last job was too big for them! Way to lie to customers! The crew was great until they hit the wall leaving a chunk of drywall on the floor. They knew they hit it and asked each other if it was bad. Then they came in and said they are ready to go. I said what about my wall? They asked if I had spackle and put some of my spackle on it and said that looks like crap and I am going to lose some of my security deposit. They said to put more on in an hour and buy a sanding sponge and smooth it down and no one will notice. It's eye level. You cal tell the difference in color. Then at drop off added a few more charges telling me the guy who did your estimate didn't add on the extra half hour that you needed to be charged for. You were over 3 hours late because of the phantom snow. I was told it was because their job ran late before. So let's get something straight you charge customers extra because YOU ran late, YOU DAMAGE walls and expect the customer to fix them. Then you damage the bottom of the couches for the covers that cover the screws so they don't rub into hard wood floors and say it's ok it won't damage anything. Absolutely horrible! Finally was able to contact the company for an answer since they didn't want to call me back or respond to an email. The company representative states he put a claim in for the damage and it will take 30 to 60 days to get back in touch with me. I move out of my apartment in 5 days. Now I have to pay someone to fix the wall damage Tiger Moving did. And on top of that the representative told me I may not get reimbursed!!! DONT HIRE THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL REGRET IT! Let's face it, selling a house and moving sucks! It's been the most stressful process. I am not exaggerating by saying Tiger Moving company was the one and only thing during this process that was smooth and zero issues. The entire team is professional and organized, diligent and thorough. From the moment when I called for a quote, and the owner Stephen did the walk through it was seamless. The day of the move the guys showed up on time and were extremely kind, and hard working. Attention to detail for everything. No request I asked for was too large or too small. The best moving experience. Ever. I interviewed 3 companies, including Tiger. Steve, one of the owners came to my (previous) house and did a complete interview with me prior to providing the estimate. Tiger's estimate, which was the most competitive of the 3, included my move out, storage for a period of months, and my move to a new home. I needed a weekend move and, unlike the other two companies, Tiger did not charge overtime for a weekend move. For the move out, the movers (Rich, Steve, and one more gentleman whose name escapes me) arrived exactly on time, were supremely professional, and got my belongings loaded up in the time period expected. They maneuvered large pieces of furniture and exercise equipment masterfully; not a wall or floor was scratched. For the move in to my new home, I scheduled with Steve about a month in advance and, a few days before the move, Deena from Tiger called me to confirm. I was lucky enough to have Rich and Steve (and another great guy, Shahid) arrive early at my temporary home to move us to the new home. They loaded the additional items without event and we were quickly off to our final destination. Rich, Steve, and Shahid worked, without break and with smiles, until all of our belongings were loaded into our new house and were in their proper places. Many moving companies, for good reason, don't have good reputations. Not Tiger. These guys are competitively priced, honest, and hardworking. Without a doubt deserving of 5 stars! read more

Do not store with Tigers Removals. They are unprofessional and rude. We left some stuff in storage. 6 months later, we got it back covered in bird mess. Other things were lost and trying to get compensation from them was like getting blood out of a stone. Shocking customer service. The managers are clearly all show and no substance. Tiger Moving was the best choice and the best thing that happened to us during an extremely stressful time. Steve, Gerson, Dave & Al arrived on time & introduced themselves. Then we went on a tour of the house. They used this time to plan their day and even started grabbing things as we went along. Throughout the day, the 4 guys were professional, courteous and fun to be around. They were very careful with our belongings and did a great job protecting everything. Many of you probably know how difficult it is to pick up after 23 years and move to a smaller home (the whole down-sizing thing). The Tiger team made this difficult time easy and manageable. It really depends on the crew you get. I recently undertook two moves within a month apart. The first crew was amazing -- careful, courteous, professional and my items were carefully wrapped and transported to the next state. Everything arrived in excellent shape. The second move in-state was the opposite. They added an extra crew member without telling me, rushed the job and did not properly wrap furniture, moving furniture without blankets -- including expensive mid-century pieces. They did not properly wrap a flat screen TV, damaging it in transit. Based on this second move, I can't recommend them. read more

All of my furniture was carefully wrapped in moving blankets and was well protected during the move. I got estimates from several different companies. Tiger moving beat these estimates by 50%. Tiger Movers tells more lies in their response to my review. They were asked repeatedly to search for the missing boxes week after week and they deny this. I sent numerous emails both to Dena and Rich. In fact one missing item I noticed immediately and even wrote it on the bill at the time I paid them. That was the antique crock. Their apology is fake. They need to search their premises, warehouse, etc. and find my boxes. I want my belongings back. Each and everyone of my boxes had my last name on them and if the ladder with my name clearly printed on it remained on their truck by accident as they say, why did I have to beg them for a month to return it. read more

The estimate was accurate, time as well as price. Nothing was damaged. The movers were pleasant and easy to work with. On the unloading side, everything was going smoothly and then for lack of a better word a hiccup. I called the office and Dina assured me they would handle the situation. And they did! To be honest, I am completely surprised at the reviews with 5 starts. wondering if the crews wrote it for themselves. My experience with Tiger moving is AWEFUL. Let me share it. We chose a date of moving and notified the landlord the date that the apt will be evacuated. Made the reservation with Tiger ONE MONTH ahead. The day before moving, tiger contacted me to confirm, that they will come the next day, 9am. Then the next morning, a phone call from tiger saying that they will be late for one hour, the truck has some problems. Then i waited for two hours, at 11 am, still no news from them, i called back to check, no one answered. Then they called back at 12pm, saying they are coming in one hour. Again. 1pm, nobody comes. waited until 2pm, called again. They say the truck is still having some issues, so they may come around 3 pm. I waited until 3pm, remember, all our staff are packed because we thought we would be able to move that day. Again, no body comes at 3 pm. Called back, they say they are coming at 4pm. called back at 4 pm, they say 4:30. Called back at 4:30, they say they need to go to get some food for dinner, and will be here at 5pm .Called back at 5pm, they say 5:15. OMG. My patience has worn out at this point completely. Watching all that staff packed in room, and the cleaning company waiting at the door to do the move-out cleaning, i called back and said are you really coming in today or not, then the guy, very ignorantly, said they will not be able to move my staff today because of my attitude. SERIOUSLY?! What your attitude would be if you have been treated like this ALL DAY LONG?! And, the last point, i don't think they have any issue with the truck in the beginning, they just made up some lie and go to move the larger homes first! The job was projected for 8.5 hours and the men finished in 6.5 hours (no lunch) so the bill was less than quoted. Men were very professional and cooperative. We hired Tiger Moving and Storage after searching for local movers on the internet. Their estimate was competitive with the other companies we spoke with and when all was said and done they came in under estimate. . We were very happy with our decision. They were able to accommodate our crazy situation of having to hire a mover less than a month before our move and be moved out on a Sunday and moved in on Tuesday at the end of June. On move out day, they showed up at the scheduled time with 8 movers who basically went though our 2 bedroom house like a whirlwind. In about three and a half hours, two trucks were loaded with everything we owned, including our daughter's swing set. We did 99% of the packing ahead of time, but anything that they had to pack was done so perfectly. They took great care to ensure that our experience would be a positive one. None of our items ended up damaged or missing. I could not believe how efficient they were. On move in day, they sent 5 movers and they were just as efficient and quick. They had us moved into our new home in under four hours. They were very good about placing boxes and items in the rooms that they were designated for, and reassembled our beds. All of the movers were friendly and were 100% professionals. They stayed on task but were also very personable. We would highly recommend their services as movers and even from the small amount of packing that they did for us, if you need that service as well, we would recommend them for that as well. read more

I'm very surprised to see so many 4 and 5 star reviews for this moving company. We recently moved from Parsippany to Toms River in New Jersey and didn't have a great experience. I'll start with positives. They are responsive and I believe the owner came out to do the estimate. We needed to put our furniture and boxes into storage for about a month, so it needed to be moved a couple of times. The crew showed up early on the load day and worked hard to get two trucks loaded. They were friendly and efficient but not very careful. They damaged the wall coming down the stairs bringing down the bed frame and almost forget several items. We arranged for our move-in day and they arrived a bit after 1pm. After several hours, the trucks were unloaded and they were out of our hair before 6pm. The negatives. They damaged most of our furniture in some way or another, several pieces beyond repair. Many of our boxes, which were packed well, we're smashed or damaged and the goods inside broken. Having worked for a moving company one summer while I was in college, I know how difficult this job is, but I never expected such carelessness with our things. They are reasonably priced I believe, but with all the damage, I would never use them again or recommend them to anyone. read more

I was very dissatisfied. Tiger was supposed to pack and move everything. They left several things behind. They said that was my fault because I wasn't there to sign off. You can't leave that much stuff behind for any reason. Things are missing and damaged and they said they aren't covered because I didn't take out insurance.
