Walking into the Leech Pit is like getting vertigo at a strobe filled dance club (oontz oontz oontz) - there's just so much goodness you just need to pause to catch your breath and take it all in. But you can't pause because your heart is pounding and you're giddy with excitement. The rare concert t-shirts, the racks and racks of clothes that serve as documentary of every phase you ever went through, the action toys you spent every afternoon with (and realize you now could be rich if you had kept them instead of letting mom donate them to the stupid kid down the road because you're too old for them now SMH), the records - oh sweet Jesus the records! - and even record players for your new collection! It's a one stop shop for your wildest dreams!! As if the shop wasn't Valhalla on earth on its own, I met the owner too (I think his name was Adam, but he looks like an Izzy). He was damn cool - I think he's probably my long-lost best friend from 6th grade that I used to get in trouble with. When he shows you around you realize he knows every item intimately, because he curated everything in the store. Everything in the Leech Pit feels like an expression of the owner and his commitment to taking you on a journey to excite your senses and comfort your soul. I like to think of him as the curator of your wildest dreams - he WILL make them come true!

I had an extremely uncomfortable and disrespectful experience at this store…read more I was made to feel like I was being accused of stealing not once, but twice. At one point, I had put my belongings down for a moment, and an employee moved them from where I had placed them and put them on a container without even speaking to me about it. What really crossed the line was having an employee block or stand in front of the door when I had absolutely nothing in my hands. That was embarrassing, humiliating, and completely unnecessary. What made the situation even worse was that while walking through the store, I saw other customers putting their belongings down as well, but I did not see them being treated the way I was. Being watched, having my belongings moved, and then having the exit blocked made me feel singled out and treated like a thief when I had done nothing wrong. Customers should not be made to feel suspicious or unwelcome simply for shopping. The whole experience left me feeling disrespected and embarrassed, and I seriously hope management addresses how customers are being treated.

Consignment thieves!! Don't buy from or do business with these people, they go back on their…read morewritten and word agreement about consignment shares and are not transparent in that even though they say they will call you to get your approval for a potential sale amount from a prospective buyer before making the sale on your item, (in order to be considerate if you accept a higher or lower amount) they do not call and get your approval. They then falsely claim they sold it for much lower when they actually sold it for much higher, and then they also change your commission share falsely claiming you agreed on a different lower amount, when its convenient for them to do that to make more off the sale. They lie and claim they don't keep receipts after I asked for proof of the sale. Weeks later after ignoring my initial request for a receipt they send a seemingly random super sketchy receipt that doesn't even show the name of the products sold (ie my item) and then the receipt has a hand written note claiming the higher sale amount included another product that the buyer bought at the same time. Super unprofessional, very dishonest, poor communication, and non-transparent, lacking in integrity business practices. STAY AWAY for this oddball store! Oddball is right.... I may update my review only if they stop lying and quickly send me my consignment check for the correct amount I have asked for that I am owed for my item.

I literally just got off the phone with his rude ass. Who was completely unprofessional and arrogant from the get go.. I placed an order like 2-3 weeks back for a CD I needed shipped to a facility in CA. I explained several times to the girl on the phone that being it's a facility it had to be the non-explicit version, which she seemed to thoroughly understand. Come to a few weeks later, today the owner Dave calls me and from the get go is short and just plain rude. I had already paid for the CD since HE was the one asking ALL the questions but in the end I did ask if I could confirm that the CD was the non-explicit version.That's when he totally loses it and starts telling me maybe I can just cut him out and go through Amazon.
