And when it comes to that workout, my Lord Jesus, Carlos did not mess around. I absolutely LOVED it! The 50 minutes goes by in no time. They also have a cold plunge and sauna and they have showers (bring your own towel). The one thing that stood out to me besides the incredible workout, was the community. Everyone was so nice and helpful and I didn't overwhelmed, but I felt supported. Carlos did a great job being observant enough to correct me when only God knows what in the world I was doing. lol! It was a really nice spot and I loved the fact that they offer a one week trial before you commit. The smoothie and snack bar was a nice treat at the end. Adrien, made me a protein shake that filled my stomach and renewed my energy. This is a place to definitely get in a workout in a warm and welcoming community. Bonus points; they're not afraid to share their faith and I absolutely love that! I love being a Christian and it was cool to see that displayed. Support local and enjoy!

Class is an hour and a half.. longer than any other class I've tried with ClassPass. Cedric is great; very nice, motivating, and helpful. The class was awesome, and was good for all levels. I wasn't too sure what to expect, but it was like bootcamp with boxing. I think this is the best workout I've tried yet. The way Cedric changes up the routine throughout the class keeps you motivated to keep going, between fundamental boxing moves with weights in hand, to cardio, drills, kettle bells, jump rope, punching a bag, etc. etc. I recommend bringing a pair of your own gloves right away rather than borrowing a communal pair. You can find them on Amazon for around $20. The boxing gym in Tropical Park has a water fountain which is nice in case you forget your own drink, and they sell Powerade there also.

I signed up through ClassPass and purchased my gloves on Amazon Prime the day prior to class. I got lost in Tropical Park trying to find the place but then I realized I'd driven right by the sign for it. Granted, the sign is small, so you really need to keep a look out. The class takes place inside a building that is located in Tropical Park - about half way between Miller and Bird. The building is behind a large parking lot along the main thoroughfare in Tropical Park. Cedric is really nice and was willing to explain things more than once if it became necessary to understand what he wanted us to do. He gave us different sets of exercises in a boot camp fashion. He then showed us boxing moves and had us practice them using hand weights, so that we continued to get a workout while we learned the moves. We put on our gloves and moved to the punching bags for a few minutes - just long enough to get out any frustrations you have. Cedric stayed nearby to correct movements in an effort to teach us proper boxing technique. Overall, I thought it was a great workout targeting all the different areas of the body and a great intro course for boxing.

Training sessions tailored specifically for your body type, lifestyle & fitness level. Ensures you reach your personal goals. Cons: A little pricey but it is an investment in your health which is priceless. Prepare to really work & be sore. I recently joined a team sport which practices 2 days a week & wanted to supplement my training the rest of the week. Mainly wanted to increase strength & endurance. Although I have a traditional gym membership it lacked the guidance & motivation I needed to reach my goals. Fortunately I met David Egusquiza, trainer, who recommended ITM & invited me to try a free session. On Dec 4, 2014 6am had my first session- where I met Francisco (Paco) Ferre, owner/founder/trainer, their facility was clean, well equipped inside & out & very welcoming. Kind of a rustic cabin atmosphere. No more than 4 clients are scheduled for each hourly session which provides private one 2 one training & focused personal attention. Paco did a brief interview of my current activity level, sports I practice & we set my personal goals. He demonstrated each exercise & provided instruction on proper form & technique each step of the way. As a beginner this definitely made me feel safe & eased my fear of injury d/t poor form especially while learning. Not at all like other current trends of having large groups doing the same routines regardless of your fitness level with little individual or personal attention to their clients. I especially like the routines which combine different and unique ways of working each muscle group. Paco & David challenge you with each new session to increase your strength & ability to perform & improve in each task. I've just completed my first month & have noticed a great improvement in my endurance, overall body strength as well as a noticeable difference in my problem areas (being of Cuban descent that means my butt). No complaints about the location, facility, trainers or availability. Paco & David are really great trainers and truly want to see you succeed. Very happy with results so far & looking forward to only getting better. Any questions please feel free to leave a comment on my review & I'll get back to you.

I'll admit, the lack of mirrors threw me off at first. I'm so used to watching my form that I wasn't sure how I'd manage. Turns out, it didn't matter one bit. If anything, it pushed me to tune inward rather than rely on my reflection. Instructor Sabrina is the real standout. She guided us through variations that looked deceptively simple and left us genuinely sweating by the end. Challenging in the best way. Will absolutely be back.

I've heard that Pilates makes you gain more strength and build muscle which should help my overall shoulder discomfort and it was surprising how this specific class did that as soon as I started the training. The studio is tucked in the base floor of a nice retail building right in the heart of Sunset Place. At first glance, it shines with neatness and coziness as the warm host who registers the checks in greets you as if she were your friend for a lifetime and that positive attitude is what you need when trying to unplug from daily work stress. I was introduced immediately to our instructor, Sabrina Segura, whose charisma was evident since she greeted me and the rest of the participants. I signed up for the 50-minute All-Level Pilates, and glad that I did because it refreshed me on all the basic and not-so-basic movements by covering a complete workout. Also by adding more springs, the tightness made me push for more effort while doing the exercises. Sabrina was so professional from the start, explaining very detail each exercise without losing sight of all of our postures, and at the same time keeping an upbeat pace throughout the complete journey. The complete session felt like therapy, for the first time I didn't think of anything else than trying to make my postures better and align with the instructions. Actually, by the end, I was even encouraged to do more of it. I could have easily lasted around one more hour. Sabrina made it feel so easy and effortless, but at the same time, the after-effect of the exercise felt as if I had lifted weights during an earlier slot. When you experience the dedication of Sabrina to each of her students you will notice how passionate she is about her Pilates practices. The ambiance of the studio is very friendly, and it seems like everyone knows each other, which transmits a family-style environment, which resonates with the overall concept of Pilates in the Grove. The bathroom is available for all students and they have a mini fridge with plenty of water to refresh. Looking forward to trying them again and hopefully under a wonderful instructor like Sabrina.
