This review is about my experience with this company Aug 2024…read more I met this young company when my Safeco Insurance flew a drone over my 2 story house and then cancelled my insurance (which was really cheap, and in a high risk fire area that no other insurance company would touch, no wonder!) . Reason for cancellation is "Moss/Algae/Mold/Lichens on roof tile". Insurance said it was a fire hazard. Safeco also cancelled within a week apart another house I own that is a rental in Moreno Valley, from drone photo. That reason was for "missing tiles and tree branches on the roof", which was true. I have since gotten a brand new roof last week, and my trees were all trimmed away from the roof, Safeco DID take me back. That premium was less than half of Farmers that I moved from. Farmers no longer writes the policy that I had when I was with them (Commercial) for that house, and they left California, too. After I got the two cancellation letters from Safeco, I saw on the 6:00 San Diego news, about insurance companies flying drones over houses and cancelling them for "dirt on their roofs", which they featured one lady who went to another company, and another owner who did the repairs and I think, got reinstated. But the news story featured only Safeco Home Owners that got cancelled, and no other insurance company was mentioned in the story !!!! I got Weathershield Roofing Services name from the manufacturer of the very special roof material that my house had to have (due to previous soil settlement and extensive foundation repairs), called Decra Metal Roofing shingles, which is crumbled stone coated steel shingles, as thin as a cookie sheet. See Decra.com Decra Manuf located in Corona gave me Weathershield's name, along with another company, the only two in San Diego that took classes to become a Decra approved vendor. The other company didn't follow through with bid. Lisa (the wife of Josue) used to work in Property and Casualty for various insurance agencies for 5 years, so she really knows about what the insurer wants. After the employees pressure washed my roof, Safeco was not happy with the results. Lisa only took far away drone photos, not close up photos to submit to Safeco. So the employees went back to clean again. Josue (owner with his wife Lisa), Alex (employee age 18 who doesn't speak English), and another employee Rene are the most conscientious workers who deliver DONE RIGHT and clean results. Lisa still submitted far away drone photos. Safeco wanted close up photos, taken while the workers are standing on the roof. The reason why I am giving this company only 2 stars, is solely because of Lisa herself. After I paid $2500 in full for the job that they did, Lisa refused to send her men back on the roof to take close up pictures, so insurance would reinstate my house. The only picture she had was of her men while they were still cleaning the roof and the roof was dirty because they weren't done yet. When I asked her to send me pictures of the roof all clean that were not her far away drone photo, Lisa got so mad and frustrated and irritated and fed up in her tone of voice. Her behavior was so out of proportion to the situation at hand, that she was no longer answering my emails or phone calls. Lisa abandoned me so I could not get reinstated by my insurance company because she was not submitting the photos they wanted close up. So I had to get another company to go to my house and take those photos. He submitted them to the insurance company not Lisa. Lisa abandoned me. It was only because there's other company took the photos that Safeco was requiring to reinstate my insurance. The photo that Lisa submitted is the drone photo of this blue roof "Before and After cleaning" in the collection of photos attached to this company's Yelp profile. I tried to post that photo here, below, but Yelp said it was not compatible format (says zip drive). In other words, for some reason Lisa did the work to clean my roof, but she refused to take close up photos that insurance required to resinstate my insurance. She got so MAD at the request and abandoned me. If it were not for another Decra roofer who went to my house to take the photos for free, my insurance would not have been reinstated, even though Weathershield did clean my roof to their satisfaction.

The technician used a super cool device that used heat or maybe it was infrared to detect water in our ceiling and walls that weren't visible to the naked eye. Then he used a drone to get arial pictures of the damage. The inspection report was very detailed & the price for repairs was reasonable. My experience was so good I have them working on my parents roof too!

Back in November of 2020 we had SS Building replace a low slope portion of our roof. After the…read morefirst rain we discovered that the roof was leaking even worse than before the repair. SS Building said that they needed to replace the pitched portion of the roof and facia we agreed with their assumption. The second installation resulted in more leaks! Their roofer Mike (they no longer have a roofing department (shocker) kept coming out to "fix" the issues. Luckily he sent us pictures. It doesn't rain a lot here in San Diego so they would do a fix and we would wait.... The next rain would come and more leaks. We can't finish the drywall in the house because of the leaks and now have mold in one of our rooms. SS Building finally sent an actual roofer to inspect our roof. My husband walked around the roof with the roofer that SS Building sent out. The roofer told him that our roof looked much older than it was. He couldn't believe that it was only 4 years old. He pointed out shingles that were lifting, edges that were done incorrectly, the chimney edges, etc.... We showed him the pictures that Mike took of one of his "fixes" and he said that the wrong product was used on the flat roof. It was product that was supposed to be for a pitched roof. And that they it was burned when they torched it. I will attach the pictures. When he left he told us that the only suggestion he was going to make was to replace the entire roof. Now SS Building is saying that their roofer said "We are sorry that you are experiencing these issues, we plan to remedy them. The roofer informed us that he can re-heat all necessary edges, seal around solar stands and flash the chimney with torch and counter flashing. The roofer believes that by doing this work, it should take care of any and all issues." Completely different than what he told us...

The absolute integrity of this company is something not usually realized today. The owner was on site almost every day and was in constant communication with us. The site personnel were the best in the business. In the four month period that SS worked on our home we grew to admire and care for them all. The end result was amazing. SS transformed a dated interior into a magnificent palette that we love and enjoy everyday. Pricing was fair and the project was completed within the promised time frame.
