The furniture was only a small dresser, a small TV, 8 pieces of artwork, and 6 boxes. The moving squad was willing to work with me and actually saved me well over $100. I felt scared as a woman and thankfully my boyfriend was with me. But if you're a single lady and someone is giving you that attitude, be aware. Most of our stuff was just left in a "general" area. With no care. If we pay for 3 hours of work, the expectation would be you work 3 hours. Yet I was told "you treat us like robots" 2 hours in when we still had 1 hour of work left. I wanted some boxes moved from the garage to the room (all 1 story) maybe 10 feet away and was given an angry attitude. I'm sorry but we're paying you to do a job. So at the end of the day they got 1 free hour of pay and a tip. But I would never use them again. So unless you want to be treated rudely and scared, use anyone else. They were very nice and thorough and their people were incredibly communicative as I prepared for my move. Once I was handed over to Plymouth is when the issues began. Safe ship had promised me a morning pickup of my items but Plymouth didn't arrive until nearly 6:30 PM. I will say, they were incredibly efficient once they had arrived - getting my things packed and out the door in just over an hour. My biggest issue came when my things were dropped off in Nebraska. They called me day-of to say that they were dropping my things when I was supposed to have advance notice. When I pushed back, they said that they had been trying to contact me and my sister (who was there to supervise the California items being picked up) for two days. I had never received a call before then and my sister simply received a call the day before with a voicemail that said "we will be there in 30 minutes for delivery." - no 24 hour notice at all from either end. They were incredibly rude and told me that if I waited another day, I would need to pay $600 on top of my remaining balance. So, I found a family member who could be there for me at pickup and told them it was fine. Onn top of this, they shook me down for an extra $300 as an "elevator and long carry fee" when the items were dropped off. This came as a complete shock - especially because when they had picked up from my apartment in California, they had to go up multiple flights of stairs and they didn't charge me anything extra. For your sanity and your wallet, do not hire Plymouth and do not book through safe ship.

I called my fiancé to come speak to them as I felt uncomfortable, my fiancé asked him about his attitude and comments, and he quickly retracted, saying he only gets paid $20 per hour. Why is this my business when I'm getting charged $85/hr? My fiancé then asked if he had any issues with the move that we could just cancel all together. Elmurod never replied, but they proceeded with the move. During the six hours they were there, Elmurod was constantly on his phone. They eventually called a third person to help them move. However, upon arriving at our new house, Elmurod said he couldn't move our couch upstairs, it had the same layout as our previous home. We asked Elmurod and the extra mover to try and move the couch, and the other guys said they would. Not only did Elmurod demanded us to pay each man a $50 tip, but he also wanted to be paid upfront, even though they hadn't completed the job. We asked Elmurod to please work on the couch as the final item to be moved. To our surprise, while we waited for them, they simply left and let our couch in the garage and other furniture with our door open. As well as a bunch of packing trash behind. When I contacted their manager I been getting the run around, I shared photos of damaged furniture and shared the additional $190 I had to pay to get our couch moved upstairs. Still no reply and no resolution. I will be filling a claim. Furthermore, our dining table and chair got damaged during the move, even though you pay additional for their insurance they won't honor it. They contacted me and refused to provide a refund for additional movers to complete the move of the left over furniture and also stated they wouldn't provide any money back due to me leaving a negative review.
