I give it a 3 star because the food is always great and the service the same! BUT this time one of the workers was sweeping then delivered a Customers food in one hand and broom and dust pan in the other hand!! The music this week was terrible had a lot of violent lyrics! Absolutely worst Tijuana Flats ever. Came today before 5 pm with husband and my 81 year old mother in law. Total confusion. Food brought to the table thrown together, not at all appetizing. We were hungry so we ate. Not that busy even though it's cinco de mayo. Manager asked if we needed refills before we did but never came back again when we actually did need them so my husband got up to get them. When my husband escorted my mother in law to the restroom they swooped on table trying to clear it. I said no, still eating, they are in the bathroom. 2 mins later same thing. Twice more before they returned. We received a message on our phone we were discussing and they tried again twice to clear the table while we were still eating. Outside empty and inside half full so no reason to rush us. Final time they came I got up and handed them my half finished plate saying it's obvious they want us to leave and left. Never to return. Staff obviously is told to check but no common sense. I am career F &B. No excuse for this. read more

Take out order, 7 minutes from home. 'Crispy' tacos appeared & tasted as though they had not been heated so were soft & mushy, 'beef' had no flavor or texture, really bland. Very disappointed, maybe they are still working out the new store kinks. Won't be back anytime soon. read more

Location: Champions Gate Florida. Been going to this location for a long time but I have to say lately the service at this location has been getting progressively worst. Food takes 30-45 minutes to be ready when the location is not even close to being busy, when order finally received it's incorrect, items missing, food burnt. This must be an excellent location to work in because employees just stand around and talk to each other ignoring the customers, stood there for more than 5 minutes without even being acknowledged. This location has become a terrible experience. Needs to do a lot better! read more

What a disaster. It was clear the staff was not prepared to handle a busy dinner rush. We ordered at 6:45, got chips brought to table around 7:00, but when food was still not our at 7:20 I had to check on it. Manager told me the printer broke so the kitchen never got our ticket. She immediately refunded us, put a rush on our order and was apologetic but when we finally got our food around 7:40 - 55 minutes after ordering - it was cold, was missing black beans (they said they ran out), and didn't have enough forks (oh they ran out of forks too so we had to wait while they opened a new package). Had to send one order back that was wrong. Also had to ask for drink refills multiple times. Probably the worst Tijuana Flats we've ever been to. With the lack of restaurants in this area it wouldn't take much to please customers. read more

If you like tasteless, bland Mex, dry hard chips, runny queso dip & doughy tortillas on your lightly filled burrito, then this will be your favorite restaurant. Good service. Beef was good. Service not so much. Not only did we wait over 30 minutes for our to-go order but were not offered any form of customer recovery. No discount. No coupon. We received a simple "I'm sorry for the wait". Our order was never put in and if we would not have asked about our order who knows how long we would have continued to wait. read more

I walked in there and had to wait a lonngggggg time to get my food. Usually I wait 15 minutes before I start getting antsy. But there were people that had large orders that ordered after me already getting their food. Talked to the front desk girl, she said my order will be right up... got it after waiting yet another 15 minutes. All for a burrito. Never coming back. Food isn't even that good. I tried Tijuana Flats once before and wasn't impressed but I enjoyed it a lot more this time around. It's nothing super special but the food is tasty and the staff was friendly and helpful. We prefer Chipotle but I like having this as a closer option. read more

I enjoy a chimichanga or two like the chiminitas, I usually dine at the sand lake location near dr Phillips where the food and service is divine. I was house shopping in the area of championsgate with a few pals, decided to get a bite thinking I would be receiving the same fast service and hot food per usual. Unfortunately not this outing, Saturday night we dined in at around 630 pm myself and my two colleagues ordered the Tijuana trio, chimichanga meal with pinto beans and rice, flautas with extra chicken and 3 hard tacos. To begin our food took 45 minutes to receive not including wait time from the register, in which there was only one cashier on with a line out the door. Extremely rude to be exact, told us there was going to be a 30 min wait and that "someone" would bring our appetizer out. My buddy had to get up almost losing our table to another guest to ask a cashier for the appetizer, chips were stale and over seasoned queso was cold and thick guacamole and salsa were terrible. We got up for the second time for refills and in hopes of fresh chips/dips but no luck the food runner took the appetizer from us said ok and sat it on top of some back table and left my buddy their standing for over 10 minutes. Still no entrees, still no one to replace our appetizer. Hesitant to just walk out, a cashier asked for our order name and went to find it. She then said it's been sitting "ready to be ran" but no runners?? I asked to speak to a manager immediately once she brought out our ice cold food. Manager yelled to cashier saying he can not come out right now he is too busy. All we wanted was our refund and to inform the manager on this terrible experience. who wants to eat soggy flautas and tacos? cashier told us to give her manager a few minutes which we did in hopes of our refund, no show no nothing from manager. We left with no food, no refund and a new reputation for this Tijuana flats. How about you guys get a manager who knows how to "manage" couldn't even speak to guests for 5 minutes but we waited 45 minutes for nothing ! I originally only wanted to give 1 star due to the service, but I'm giving an extra star because of the good quality of the food. I ordered online for pick up and pre paid. First: The online ordering system would not let us pay with a card unless we entered a tip. Sorry you can't force customers to tip, especially before any type of service is provided. The app said my food would be ready at 9pm. So we enter the restaurant at about 8:58. Second: The place wasn't busy, many open tables. We walk up to the take out counter and there were a few people before us, all waiting. So we are standing at the counter, waiting to be greeted. No one asks my name or if we are being helped or if we needed anything. Third: I waited at the counter for a half hour. At 9:24 the girl behind the counter asked our name and handed us a bag that had been sitting on the counter the ENTIRE time we were waiting. Our food had been sitting there on the counter for 30+ minutes and the 4 girls working there couldn't take 1 minute to ask our name and hand me the bag. I was also forced to tip $1.50 for this 30 minute wait. I crossed out the tip and put the total and signed the receipt so I hope I don't get incorrectly charged. Once I got home my food was still somehow still warm and pretty good, therefore I put an extra star. read more

i hate to leave a bad review but for my first time there i had a terrible experience. the wrong order came out. they quickly fixed the mistake and made me another order. which i very much appreciated but the meal did not sit right and as soon as i got home i was up all night throwing the meal up. it just didn't taste right and i believe it made me ill. read more

Not too bad. Have eaten at more than 15 different TF restaurants over the years, so I was excited when one popped up in the neighborhood. It's been here for a little while, so I figure it's had time to establish itself. Place is a little short staffed at the moment, but the staff they do have all run around to take care of the customers. Our order just happened to be the one the "didn't make it out of the kitchen". When asked what happened to it, they immediately went to research it. The manager came out and very apologetically explained that it was made, but they lost the ticket and wasn't sure who it belonged to. He quickly took care of our bill, remade our order and had it out to us very quickly. Also brought us out an order of Churros on the house. I know how things can sometimes happen, but this guy didn't try to sweep this one away. He stood up and took ownership of the error and handled it professionally and courteously. We will give this place another chance for sure. Oh, and the food was good too. read more

Once again Tijuana Flats at Champion Gate fails. I put an order for pick up and arrived exactly at the time I said I would be there. This time it was actually ready but when I got home it was ice cold and looks like it was sitting there ready for some time. Yes I do know it was pick up but I live 5 minutes away so that means my food was sitting there for much longer. I also asked for double refried beans but the person messed up and put double rice. Its not hard to put a to go order together and it says exactly what I want. So thank you Tijuana I feel like I just wasted my money on this cold old food. Proves the point there is a reason the employees don't make $15.00 an hour. read more

Service was great. Food horrible. I don't recommend it to anyone. First off the establishment itself is new but the floors were sticky and the tables not cleaned. The menu is short but there is boards with specials. Ok let's talk food. Who in their right mind would serve Jerk Chicken on a Mexican menu? Or Blackened Chicken? I ordered the street tacos with lime beef. It was cold and had two pieces of chewy meat. Lots of cabbage and the tortilla was cold and fell apart. My husband had the chicken chimichanga, since when is a chimichanga not deep fried? That is absurd and who sells Philly Cheese Steak flautas in a Mexican place? Oh and not deep fry them either? The chicken in the Chimi was tender but not flavorful and the Philly things were so greasy they were soggy. The Queso that was with the Philly things was okay, we used it to dip our chips. Suffice to say we will not be back and I encourage the establishment to clean up the floors and tables and get a better menu or less of a menu and make that correct before trying new things. read more

First time eating at Tijuana Flats. As a small restaurant owner myself, I was very impressed with the level of service provided and the quality of food. Someone was there to open the door for incoming guests, another girl walked around asking guests if they needed anything or a refill on their drinks. The salsa was fresh and the tacos were tasty and large in portions. I would highly recommend this place. Ashley was our server and cashier and she was patient and helpful in explaining the menu and our options. Well done! Congrats. read more

We live in ND and luv Mexican food. The concierge at our accommodations recommended TF. They met us at the door and asked what we wanted to drink while waiting in line - nice touch! The wait was short and the food was great and the employees were very friendly. Service was outstanding. read more

Small, dirty, crowded (Paris cafe seating). The service is terrible, have them repeat the order to you, especially since the receipt doesn't even list what you ordered. They didn't bring out one of my plates, the girl went back to check and I never saw her again. Had to recheck the menu pricing against my receipt total to see if I had paid for it. They will tell you a dish is the steak chimichanga when, in fact, you will be eating your wife's chicken chimichanga. And aren't they supposed to be served hot anyway? They have no clue. Plus they control the fountain drinks so you get one cup for your $2 or whatever it is. The worst T-Flats I have ever been to. Tourist trap hell. The location (Championsgate) is a gold mine for business but they screwed it up with the usual lack of management and experienced workers. And why such a tiny facility? It's like a T-Flats mobile operation they would set up at the beach or County fair or something. read more
