    Chips & Guac
    Kristi B.

We arrived on Sunday around 3 o'clock in the afternoon and it wasn't all that busy. It is set up very much like a quick service location, but they do bring the food out to you. This one happened to be located in the flamingo Crossing area near the Disney's college program housing complex. We had an order of the endless chips and salsa and the guacamole. The guacamole was really good very fresh and we really liked the chips. They have a great seasoning on them and were very tasty. My husband got the quesadilla with chicken and he said it was good but he wished he would've told them no beans. They don't use refried beans but they do use regular beans, but it tends to be more of the beans than the chicken. I got the Asada bowl which is rice bowl with steak, a little bit of pico, rice, and other offerings. I really enjoyed it the the flavor was very good. There really is no heat to it though so this location does have a salsa bar that you can help yourself too. I got some corn salsa and dumped about 2 ounces of that onto the bowl and then got a little bit of hot sauce and added that to the bowl as well. It provided the heat that I was looking for as well as some additional vegetables. I also got the watermelon hibiscus Fresca and really enjoyed it. It was very refreshing. My husband got whatever their premium lager was that was on tap. He said it was OK. Overall, we had a decent experience. The music was a little bit louder than it needed to be since there was nobody in there.

Stopped in on a Monday afternoon, not busy which was a first. Ordered the chicken quesadilla which is a must and an order of nachos. Both amazing as always, the nachos come loaded with an added Ground beef for like $4-5 definitely worth it.

Ambiance was decent, but music was extremely loud. Placed speaker next to water and seemed to be blaring louder than most other restaurants. Service seemed to lack in refilling the salsa bar and cleaning tables after guests leave. Food was just blah! Super bland and no flavor. Had Carne Asada Burrito, with Jasmine rice, beans and onions. Found it strange they use Jasmine rice too. Was disappointed.

It was late and we were hungry and this little spot worked well. Friendly service and the food came out quickly. We got the queso to start and it tasted good, but it was soupy and the cheese was separated so you had to kind of dig to get the gooey cheese along with the saucy part. The carne asada quesadilla and the chicken empanadas were great; the burrito was just ok. The problem was they use plain white rice and a lot of it, so the burrito didn't have much flavor. I found myself eating the half of the burrito with the meat cheese etc and avoiding the rice half. It would be vastly improved if they used Spanish rice and used less of it.

Frozen margarita and shot of Patron

I went here for dinner on a Saturday night, sitting at the bar, and had an excellent experience. The bartender, whose name I neglected to ask, took care of me for drinks and food. He was excellent and I thank him, and I wish I got his name. I did not get a receipt so I can't even look it up. The restaurant's ambience is casual. You order at the counter and check out at the cashier. I guess they bring your food to you but I am not sure about that. The menu has all the usuals--tacos, burritos, nachos, quesadillas, fajitas, and the rest. I sat at the bar because I was solo and started with a house frozen with a shot of Patron. The frozen margarita was ok but not very strong so that is where the shot came in handy. Next up was the house lime margarita which I asked for with no ice so I got half a glass. But it was tasty. I liked it. To break up the drinking I ordered two original tacos, one ground beef and one grilled chicken on soft flour tortilla. They were $4.50 each, which is reasonable. I liked both and both were very tasty, but I liked the beef more because it had more flavor and there was more of it. The chicken taco seemed to be not much chicken and a lot of lettuce. Last, I finished with a Ceneto which is a combo of tequila and mezcal with curraco juice. It was smoky and smooth and absolutely delicious. I should have been drinking those al along!! Overall, the drinks were very good. The service was friendly and professional. And the food was quite tasty. Not the absolute best Tex-Mex I have had, but nothing to complain about. I liked this place and would definitely return again. The best part is that after drinking three margaritas I did not get run over on the busy road that separates the restaurant from the hotel. So it was a successful night.

We came in for dinner one evening and it was our first time so we needed a second to look at the menu. You order at the counter so the staff showed us where we can get the menu. The food menu didn't include the drinks menu and I didn't realize it until we were at the counter and the drinks menu was there, so I hurriedly ordered. They gave us two festive flamingo stickers because it was December/the holiday season. That was friendly. The bathroom was very clean. It was crowded inside but we managed to find a table for two. The staff came by during our meal to make sure we were ok. The food was good. I liked the taco and the empanadas and the salad was decent too. I would like to try more menu items...as well as the drinks! In all, we had a welcoming and delicious experience at this Lime.

    Shrimp Taco

This was my first time coming and I'm very disappointed with my order. I decided to get the shrimp tacos (2) once I made it back, upon opening the box the taco was all over the place. Not to mention there was barely anything on them. looks like they didn't even try to dress it.

    Chicken fajitas

We stopped by over the weekend because it was within walking distance from our hotel. We shared a chicken fajita meal, but I was a tad disappointed. I wish it was a couple dollars more so that we had more chicken. It was also pretty flavorless... it tasted just like grilled chicken but with no taco/fajita seasonings. The chicken empanadas were good, but almost tasted like something you'd get at Costco in the frozen section. They were about half full, so half of the time you were just eating the empanada dough. The chips and queso were yummy. It did take about 30 minutes to get our food. In my opinion, did not seem that busy and other people were waiting, just as long as us who got there before us, but it seemed a tad long to wait in my opinion. I will say that the prices were fair for almost every single food item!

    4 Rivers Burrito

When my wife and I first started dating, yes many many moons ago, we used to visit the Lime Fresh Mexican Grill located in the Sand Lake area. Sadly it closed and we hadn't had Lime since then. So when we learned that there was a Lime in our area, we had to go check it out. We walked in and saw this place had a nice little bar, and thought it had a nice little vibe. At first we were very confused on where to queue up and where to get a menu. As, we dinned we noticed this was a common issue. Maybe they should have a little sign with an arrow directing you where to queue, and have menus available along the wall. My wife and I both ordered burrito's and we decided to get a side of the Street Corn. I was excited to see they had a 4 Rivers BBQ burrito, and my queso loving wife, ordered a queso burrito. We paid for our order and sat down and waited. And we waited some more. Our food finally was delivered. The mexican street corn was ok, seemed to have a lot of pico de guio on it and was lacking that good mexican cheese. Probably wouldn't get it again. We also thought the size for the price was a little small. My burrito was really good, I loved 4 Rivers BBQ flavor in the burrito. My wife burrito was sad and very dissapointing. It was the most dry and flavorless burrito. At first she wasn't going to say anything, but she decided to go to the counter and mention it was dry, then she ordered some sour cream, which she was charged for. She thought that would help with the dryness, but it did not. She spoke to someone and they offered to replace it. A few minutes later she was presented with a new burrito. The new burrito was much better, it actually had queso in it and was not so dry, it was still missing one of the ingredients, but it was an improvement. Being a very observant person, I could not help but notice how overstaffed this place was. At one point I counted 6 people behind the counter, standing there doing nothing. This does not include the person who appeared to be a manager who walked around the restaurant alot, but never spoke to anyone of the customers or checked to see how things were. This person was near our table when we spoke to someone about the poor queso burrito the first time and was leaning along the counter, when my wife went up to the counter to reorder. I wish I knew the name of the one person who never stopped working, he keep the tables clean, the floor swept, and the salsa bar stocked. Not impressed with the lack of service, quality, or management,

    Pork Taco

TL;DR Go to Taco Bell. The tacos will be hotter, cheaper and MAT (Make A T). It Will also be frustration free. Food is cold and nothing served at the same time. Atmosphere is very loud. With a party of three who were a bit hungry, we ordered street corn as an appetizer to share. It was brought out at the same time as our meals. It's probably 4 ounces in size and served with a spoon. No chips...at all. One spoon. No way to share. My wife and I got the same thing one American Taco and one Pork Taco. The flavor of both were good and could be better if they were served warm, if not hot. Yup, all four tacos were cold. (Ice, Ice Baby). We were too hungry to send them back and worried about getting clean food in return. Our son's burrito was hot but it came off the griddle to the table 5 minutes after the tacos off did. I know what you're thinking. Our tacos were cold because we waited for his food to come out. Sadly, no. We were hungry and did not wait. We started eating without him. We were still hungry and went back for another order of street corn but added chips and salsa and churros. We were brought out chips with an empty bowl and instructed to fill it from the salsa bar. It had so much potential. However, there were only two salsas available from the bar. The rest were empty. WTF? Who's watching this thing? I selected the only one salsa on the hot side with 4 fire emblems and it lacked heat and favor. So very lame. When I asked the person who collected our plate if they could refill the salsa bar, she told me to go find the person in charge of the bar and pointed in a general area. WTF? This place is shit show with so much potential. I ordered a Modelo Negro and received a regular Modelo. For what you get, it's so very over priced. Go to Taco Bell. The food will be at least hot, cheaper and Make A T.

Que es esto? Pedi un bowl de arroz con pollo y solo me pusieron una porción de pollo chiquitita y un arroz que mal servicio.

    Carne Asada Bowl

Classic Tex Mex spot. Convenient, quick, and good options. Really hit the spot for dinner. A little bit pricier than expected, and not every order comes with free chips. There's a free salsa bar with 8 types of salsas, tomatoes, corn, jalapeños, and cilantro. The carne asada bowl was a standard rice bowl. The steak was decent, not super flavorful but ok quality. For drinks, they have a lovely bar! In addition to their extensive tequila menu, you can order custom drinks. we just had a simple limeade and vodka, which had the perfect ratio and tasted so fresh.

Our bartender was fantastic and kept all of our orders straight. The hostess walked us upstairs to our reserved table for 10. The view across the restaurant was grand, but lively atmosphere and the high ceilings contributed to the challenge of carrying on a conversation. I could only talk with those who were seated close by. Shane was our server for the night, engaged with us, and kept the drinks flowing. We ordered a number of Deluxe fajita platters with massive amounts of steak and chicken. Both meats were grilled and seasoned perfectly. Copious amounts of tortillas and the fajita fixins. I really enjoyed the charred jalapeño and mushrooms. I ordered the chicken Al Carbón tacos, and enjoyed the complementary flavors of the smoked onions and the salsa cremosa. With both of these great tasing dishes, I wished I had a larger stomach! NOTES Outside seating is available (for nicer weather) and there's plenty of parking. The only downside of the night? The food took a long time to get to our table.

The Vibe: Located in a strip mall with shared parking, the restaurant itself is actually quite cute inside, with tablecloths on each table and a full-service bar near the entrance. That said, when we first walked in, there was an unpleasant, slightly mildew-like odor, which made us question the overall cleanliness. The restaurant was about ¼ full, which felt like a decent sign for a weekday evening. Service: Service was excellent from start to finish. We were seated quickly, given chips and salsa right away, and our server was attentive and efficient throughout the meal. What We Ordered: * Enchiladas Combination (cheese, beef, and chicken with red sauce, you can choose red or green) * Puntas de Filete in Salsa Verde * Sprite & Coke First Impressions: The food came out extremely fast--under 5 minutes, which made it feel more reheated than freshly prepared. Food Quality: Unfortunately, the food lacked flavor across the board. The chips and salsa were underwhelming--the salsa was very watery with little to no spice. The enchiladas were quite dry, lacking sauce, and topped with an overwhelming amount of cheese. My husband ordered the Puntas de Filete in Salsa Verde, hoping for something similar to chile verde, but it didn't come close. The dish lacked depth of flavor and mostly tasted like beef and raw onions. He also requested medium rare, but it came out closer to well-done. Even the refried beans had an unusual, overly garlicky taste that felt a bit off. Overall: While the service was great, the food unfortunately didn't meet expectations--especially for a place positioning itself as western-style Mexican. Average food, standout service. We were hoping to find a go-to spot reminiscent of California Mexican food, but this one missed the mark for us.

We tried four salsas: roasted tomato, enchilada, habanero, and tomatillo, and every single one tasted incredibly fresh and flavorful. Serious salsa bar goals. If I had to rank them, the roasted tomato and tomatillo were my favorites, but honestly you can't go wrong with any of them. Then came the burritos. Thank you for your portions, consistency, creamy jalapeno, and Boom-Boom Sauce. Let's get into it, this casual sit down has its roots in Austin, TX. Peruse the menu while you fight the temptation to polish off a basket of their chips and salsa and Creamy Jalapeno Sauce and, speaking of the menu, it is the same here as it is back home. My go-to's include the Big As Yo Face Burrito (bean and cheese) smothered in Boom-Boom Sauce, Guacamole Soft Tacos, the Veggie Enchiladas, and when I am feeling real big back that Chuychanga (also always smothered in Boom-Boom Sauce. Chuy's has not only a great drink menu but full bar if their options are not your speed. Side note that they do not offer draft beer, but do have a selection of bottles and cans. Service has always been reliable as has the food quality. If there is a wait, you can join the wait list remote via the Chuy's website. Chuy's scratches that TexMex itch whenever we need it or an easy to get to option whenever we are leaving Disney's Animal Kingdom or Hollywood Studios. Gracias Chuy's and see ya real soon.

Came here to celebrate my daughter's first birthday yesterday. Unfortunately, both my toddler and…read moreone year old were not in the best mood. The server was extremely friendly and accommodating. He made sure to get the chips and salsa out quickly to help my hangry children. We were only able to order cheese enchiladas. But they were really good. The red sauce wasn't the typical tangy and spicy enchilada sauce, it was a bit sweeter (possibly a mole type sauce). Definitely plan to come again when the kiddos are in a better mood and try more of the menu!

This was our first time trying Tacos & Tequilas. After reading so many positive reviews, I really…read morewanted to love this restaurant. There are plenty of Mexican restaurants in the area where we can choose to spend our hard-earned money and, just as importantly, our time, so unfortunately this first experience was disappointing. When we walked in, it was hot and humid and smelled like Fabuloso cleaner. I asked the host about happy hour and all she could tell us was that it ended at 6. We were seated, and several minutes passed before our server greeted us. We ordered drinks and asked for a water as well. We were ready to order our food, but first I asked her to confirm whether burritos were $12 that day, since their Instagram has advertised $12 burritos on Wednesdays as a daily special since June. She seemed unsure and said she would check. About 10 minutes later, she returned with our drinks and asked if we were ready to order, but never gave us an answer about the special. I had to ask again, and she then confirmed that the burritos were $12. We ordered our burritos along with a side of maduros. My husband had just gotten off the golf course and was very thirsty, but his water still hadn't arrived. Our server wasn't coming back around, so when the host walked by, he politely asked if she could please get our server. Unfortunately, she seemed to forget and went back to the host stand. A few minutes later, our food arrived, but we still had no water, silverware, or napkins. We waited a couple more minutes until we finally saw our server and had to ask for silverware and napkins so we could actually eat our food. She brought those over along with the water. We were already halfway through our meal when we saw her walking by again and had to remind her about the maduros. She said, "Oh yeah," checked on them, and finally brought them out. The food itself was okay, but the service was extremely inconsistent and inattentive. We shouldn't have to repeatedly track down our server for water, silverware, napkins, an answer about an advertised special, and a side dish we ordered. I really wanted to enjoy this place based on the reviews, but for a first visit, it unfortunately didn't leave us feeling like we would choose to come back, especially with so many other Mexican restaurants in the area competing for our business.
