St Cloud usually cocks up franchises for some reason (Chili's for one), but the Tijuana Flats is on-point. Tearing down the Bojangles and putting this in was a smart move. Well done owners. Well done. If you've not been to a Tijuana Flats before, get your head out of your arse. This place is amazing. If you think you like Taco Bell for tex-mex, you'll find it repulsive after eating at Tijuana Flats! For about twice the price, you get about 1000x higher quality and better tasting food. They also serve a nice variety of Mexican beer, which is muy bein. Pro-Tip 1: ALWAYS order the chips and queso to go. If you order it dine-in, you'll get a handful of chips on a platter. If you order it to-go, you get about 100 chips in a paper bag that will last you a week at home. Put them things in the toaster over to warm them and they'll be better than they were to begin with. *Super Secret Pro-Tip 1.5*: When getting chips and queso, ask for "extra seasoning" on the side. This is the blend of spices they sprinkle on their chips, and when you get a chip that is heavily dusted with it, it is divine. If you get extra on the side, you can take it home and try to figure out just what in the hell they used to make it, then use it on your own food and claim victory amongst your friends. Pro-Tip 2: When presented with the option to "make it wet", do it. Put their cheese on everything. Then order the chips and queso for the side too so you have more cheese. Then put cheese on the queso. Winning. Pro-Tip 3: Be suspicious of the Jalapenos as a topping. These are fresh sliced jalapenos - not pickled - so they taste more like green peppers and will rain down hellfire on your mouth, potentially inhibiting your ability to taste the delicious food beneath them. I like me some pickled jalapenos all day and I can handle some hot sauces, but fresh jalapenos demand taste dominance when they're on top of your food. 136/100 in 2016 challenge Amazing! That's all that really needs to be said! I am more then thrilled that the powers that be, opened a location close to my area. This location opened this passed week in a brand new building that it is sharing the location with a Starbucks. (Now also a new favorite of mine). It is in a shopping center with a Planet Fitness, Aldi's and Dunkin' Donuts. The place on the occasions I have been here is packed. So packed the you almost couldn't make it in the door. I have ordered online and done the picked up twice now. The other time I was here we sit outside. The staff is eager and willing to please. I like that they had someone opening the door for you and handing you a menu. I being on crutches, hobbled up to the take out register and waited for my order. The order was ready at the exact time it was to supposed to be and the manager offered to get me the hot sauces himself so I would have to navigate the sauce bar myself. (Nice customer service touch). They had someone outside setting up music on the patio. There was not an open seat in the place on a Friday night and I can't think that is going to change for a while. I ordered the dos enchiladas one chicken and one beef and they were both excellent. The order came with chips that had the perfect amount of salt. The hubby got the veggie burrito the chips. Customer service sucks at this location. I've ordered there in the past for take out and no one could find my order and then I tried ordering for curbside and had to wait 30 minutes over my pick time. What is the point of ordering a head if you have to wait. Just go inside and order the food it will come out much faster. Disappointing read more

I was very excited to learn that it Tijuana Flats was coming to St. Cloud but I am sad to say I've been here three times I have never got my food in less than 20 minutes after standing in line for 20 minutes and the food has been cold every time. I love Tijuana Flats but I would suggest that you go to a different location like Lake Nona or hunters Creek. On my second visit I watched a waitress spilled food all over a customer sitting at a table eating and she started laughing about it and the manager just sat and watched for about two minutes before he did anything. I wish i could give 0 stars. I walked into a totally empty restaurant at 425 p.m. on "Taco Tuesday " there were atleast 3 dirty tables with past guests trash on them. The 2 teenagers at the register told me that i had to have on a mask if i wanted to be served. They both had on masks and they were behind a big plastic screen. Once again...i was the ONLY person in the restaurant! I asked them once more..."so if i don't have a mask on I can't eat here?" They both replied yes. So i left...forever. This is normal to happen everyone in a while but when it happens 3 times consistently it doesn't make me want to come back to Tijuana's. Again it has happened at the same location over and over. The tacos are great, the ingredients are "fresh" (so they say, I didn't see the proof...), the location is clean but what truly sets this place above all is the staff; attentive, friendly and dedicated. I'm a regular guest here at Tijuana Flats and recently they changed there chimichangas from adult sized to toddler sized chimichangas. I kid you not I ordered 3 for myself and my family. Even my 4yr old Daughter was still hungry after eating her Chimichanga. Also I ordered them online and in the description it says it comes with melted cheese, topped with sour cream and chips. None of the three had the sour cream. In the picture it shows salsa, jalapeños, lettuce and Pico and none of those were in our orders either. Very misleading and We are very displeased. I've been coming to this Tijuana for years and lately I've been having issues, I go every Thursday on my break from work, I order my food online and pick it up. I went years without a problem and then this lady manager keeps messing up my experience, first I would order my food and when I get it , my food doesn't have any meat, so I complain to the manager and she has the audacity to argue with me about it and then a separate occasion forgot to give me my cheese when I paid for extra cheese and then when I go back to the store to get it she gives me a tiny amount and tells me that's the best she can do. The team there seems to work as a team, most of them, anyhow, and enjoy greeting and pleasing their clientele. Sometimes slow to clean up after guests but always fun and happy to deal with. A few good beers in the cooler and lots of good hot sauces to go with the food make it fun and decent to visit. Good music, clean restrooms and some pride shows from the work team that is always there. They get 5 stars because they truly give a damn about your experience there. Friday's I work from home typically so the wife and I decided to grab lunch. They brought out our meals and as we got ready to eat I noticed a problem with my food. I flagged a server down and she apologized and went to make me another order. Subsequently the original server who brought the food came over and apologized. I was fine and understand things happen. When they brought my replacement they also let me know that they refunded my card. I was grateful and told them they didn't have to do that but it was a very generous offer. I love Tijuana Flats and was so thrilled when we got one in St. Cloud. I get take out almost every week. This location does a great job. I am always greeted when I go in. If I do wait for my food I am usually offered a drink while I wait - a very nice touch even though I have always declined, I suspect I might accept if I need it. And the best part - my food has always been correct. Every time. Lets face it, I love being treated nice, but getting home to find the wrong food makes me mad...and it has never happened from this location. Keep up the good work guys! read more

We decided to sit in the patio because it seemed like a nice atmosphere (even witness one of the helper girls bring out a little bowl with water for a customer's puppy) and we were right. We are a family with 4 kiddos and they were all happy with their food. The manager suggested to my husband to try the Modelo draft and oh boy he liked it. We had chips & queso (loved that it was a kind of thick queso,instead of the usual watery queso othe places serve), beef tacos (they are big), chicken & beens quesadilla, steak salad with avocado ranch dressing (yummy), steak enchiladas with chipotle over and rice & black been, and the little ones had cheese quesadillas with their season fries. Always awesome service and great food at this location. The team is well trained and attentive...with friendly greetings and table service. We were constantly being checked on and receiving refills without having to go to the counter. Was great to be offered help at the hot sauce bar. They even were giving samples of their churros while we ate! Management comes around to see how our food is. I think no other place cares more about the guest experience. We love the Bangin Chicken Tostados and new street tacos on the menu, and always show up for their Taco Tuesdays special. Keep up the good work!!! read more

We finally went to this restaurant after it was open for awhile, just to let the crowds die down a little bit. Easy and quick to order. It did take a little while to get the food I'd say about 15 minutes. The food was good. It could have been better. The waitstaff were phenomenal. They were obviously trained well in customer service. During our meal we had three or four different girls come up and ask if we needed anything. They will always willing to help and were so nice. read more

Thank you for putting a Tijuana Flats in St. Cloud! We are finally starting to get a few places where they have edible food! We visited during the opening week so it was a bit crowded, my husband and I thought the dining area should have been larger considering how crowded it was. But they have an outside patio area as well. But really, this is Florida so it's too hot to eat outside! The food took a little longer than usual to come out, but we were patient because of the crowd, but it was yummy as usual. I had a free taco coupon and I forgot to use it! I was mad after. But it's good until July. It was a typical Tijuana flats, lots of art, hot sauce bar, etc. The staff was really nice, they were helpful and working hard on keeping the dining area clean. They had lots of personality and walked around every once in a while to check on the customers. They have a separate take out line and specific parking for take out orders.
