I love what they have done with the place. A couple years ago I didn't like it but lately they are on point. Not sure if under new management but I love the food now!!

So I was hoping that it was a one time thing and it only happens at certain times not sure if it's the cool but my ground beef is pink and not cooked fully. Ground beef isn't steak and should be cooked thoroughly especially with all the contamination going around with food. Wendy's got a massive Law suit going on right now due to a girl catching meningitis from a bacteria she had from their food and can't walk anymore. I was told when I called that the food seasoning is what's making it red and pink. I know we're ground beef cooked. Looks like as I explained to the person that picked up the phone and how other Tijuana Flats in the area I don't have this issue in the meat is brown fully cooked I've been eaten here some days before and it's brown. So it does not make sense to me how certain days it's all clumped up as if it's not cooked and it's pink and red. The only reason I found out that this was uncooked meat was because at the edge of my taco it was a bloody piece of meat and I started digging into the taco was bleeding through in the taco shell and it was not cooked. I showed the person at the restaurant and she brought me some new food and apologized again when I place an order for pick up and it happened to be uncooked again, this is ground beef. It should be thoroughly cooked so people don't get sick. I have no other issues with any other Tijuana Flats with this one here in St. Cloud on 13th St. which happens to be an inconvenience that I won't be eating there anymore because it's so close to my house that I have to drive all the way down in Lake Nona just to get cooked tacos, please cook the meat so people don't get sick and you don't get a lawsuit. Disgusting, I'll call corporate next because these restaurants need to do better.

We stopped by today for lunchjust after the rush. We ordered our regular 1 cheese tortillia with refried beans and 1 burrio with chicken and salas and refried beans with Chips. After ordering 3 extra refried beans the nice manager came out and said we could get the refried beans in a larger container so we wouldnt have to pay the price of the smaller containers. This is awesome I said! Thank you very much. The food was great and the chip were nice and crunchy rather than so hard I cant chew them. See yall next week.

Great place to come for a quick bite to eat. I always get the steak flautas. They never disappoint. The employees are super friendly and attentive.

Nov 26/19: decent little local Mexican restaurant. Service was fast & efficient. Place was small with maybe 40-50 seats. They had a great selection of hot sauces. I chose the "Smack my ass & call me Sally" Habanero sauce. It was hot but no crazy hot with lots of flavour. I had the 2-For $7.99 soft grilled chicken combo. The chicken was a little rubbery but not bad. The 3 sauce nacho coma no had TONS on nachos. This is maybe a do-over for me.

Street Corn Taco with Steak. As mentioned in the review, the steak is practically non-existent.

A disappointing experience no question about it. My favorite "Mexican" place which is considered the most popular Mexican fast casual restaurant nationwide (Starts with a "C", ends with an "e", you can probably guess the name at this point) had a massive line Friday night so I decided to fill my Mexican craving at Tijuana Flats. The location itself is pretty nice with plenty of outdoor seating and a vibrant atmosphere in the inside. The staff are very friendly and accommodating with any questions I had. There are plenty of sauces to choose from, the Salsa tasted fresh as did the Guac. Ordered the "Street Corn Tacos with Steak" and a Steak Burrito. This is where things go downhill. While the Burrito and Tacos were okay at best, they were not anything special. This most likely is due to the fact that the "steak" I ordered was practically non existent. You feel like you are eating the Tortilla with a bunch of sour cream and lettuce with practically no meat. I didn't get a chance to take the picture of the burrito since obviously it is wrapped and I was not going to unfold it just for the sake of a picture, but there were maybe 6 tiny little pieces of meat in the entire burrito. The taco was even worse and the picture attached speaks for itself. I counted 5 pieces of tiny little pieces of steak. An absolute disappointment. While the customer service and atmosphere are great, food is the number one expectation and this place was a major disappointment. Stick to the fast casual restaurant that starts with a "c" and ends with an "e".

We walked in and got lucky during lunch as no one but 4 people eating at the time. More room for the kids to sit. We ordered and watched the Chiva TV while we waited. When our food came it was all at once so everyone was able to eat at the same time. The beans this time were throughly cook, we had to wait extra for some more refried beans as they had run out. But it was ok we were eating our lunch. I was very happy that everyone in our group got exactly what they order. The music was just enough for entertaining but not too loud.

    skimp

8:30pm 6/29 I came in and got a burrito that had very little meat. Unsure if it is because I hit no tip but they skimped me. I wasn't sure if the other reviews were sensible because i love tijuana flats, but this location, at this time, was less than unpleasant. I can't believe how much white rice there is compared to anything else..

Ordered the new chicken Tinga tacos and those were good. I loved the seasoning in the shredding chicken and all the toppings in the taco. The cookie dough flautas were made perfectly. Dine In is currently available but limited. Service is fast and friendly!! I still prefer Chipotle, but something different is good every so often!!

Tijuana is a total favorite of the family

UPDATE: Much better today!!!! The lady who took our order was so patient and informative! Food was fantastic and every employee was friendly, including managers! I spoke to the manager whom had responded to my previous review and all was squared away. :) Only wish, TFlats had name tags so I could shout out to the lady who helped us! She is our favorite!

The chicken nachos and chorizo queso were great starters. I ordered the Ginger margarita based on the raving reviews by my co-workers, even though it was not a special. And, it did not disappoint! Our bartender was fantastic and kept all of our orders straight. The hostess walked us upstairs to our reserved table for 10. The view across the restaurant was grand, but lively atmosphere and the high ceilings contributed to the challenge of carrying on a conversation. I could only talk with those who were seated close by. Shane was our server for the night, engaged with us, and kept the drinks flowing. We ordered a number of Deluxe fajita platters with massive amounts of steak and chicken. Both meats were grilled and seasoned perfectly. Copious amounts of tortillas and the fajita fixins. I really enjoyed the charred jalapeño and mushrooms. I ordered the chicken Al Carbón tacos, and enjoyed the complementary flavors of the smoked onions and the salsa cremosa. With both of these great tasing dishes, I wished I had a larger stomach! NOTES Outside seating is available (for nicer weather) and there's plenty of parking. The only downside of the night? The food took a long time to get to our table.

However, since we've had my son, we're not in the area as much so we don't come as often, but we were at icon Park today and this seemed like the perfect place to take the rest of my family. It was an absolute hit! Grandma yelled at me for holding out on her! Why haven't you brought me here before? She had the agave chipotle queso chicken enchiladas. It was our servers recommendation and they were absolutely delicious. I had the birria appetizer and it was excellent. It was an appetizer, but it was so large. We couldn't eat it all and it could definitely be a meal if you wanted it to be. The absolute best thing is the kids menu. My son loves chips and queso so much. Queso dip is one of the sides you can get with the kids meal. How amazing is that? We go to some Mexican restaurants and I spend more on queso for this child than I do on a meal for him or even myself. He had the cheese quesadilla with queso and rice as sides. After lunch, I asked him if we could come back here and he said oh yes! My son ate most of his meal, but grandma and I both ended up taking to go boxes. I feel like the prices are pretty reasonable, especially the kids meal and for the portions they give you even for the adult meals. Our server was absolutely wonderful. She brought out fresh chips and salsa almost immediately, and as soon as our chips started to run low, she immediately replaced them. As soon as we ordered, I asked if she could bring my son's queso first and she gladly obliged. It was a very hot day and she kept our drinks full. We will definitely be back.

We ordered the carnitas tacos, fresh guacamole, three house tequila shots, and a beer. While the food was okay, the portions were surprisingly small (barely any meat or avocado or rice) and didn't come close to justifying the cost. The guacamole was fresh, but overall the meal felt overpriced from start to finish. The biggest shock was the bill. We spent $67 for just one entrée, three house tequila shots, and one beer, which is hard to justify given the portion sizes and overall quality. The house tequila shots alone were $12.50 each, which felt excessive for house liquor. Service was also disappointing. Even before the restaurant became busy, everything moved slowly. To make matters worse, our server accidentally mixed up our receipt and initially charged us for another table's food. It created a lot of unnecessary confusion, and what bothered me most was that the mistake was handled rather casually. There wasn't much urgency or concern despite it being a significant billing error. The restaurant itself has a nice, modern atmosphere with comfortable booths, so I'll give credit where it's due. Unfortunately, the ambiance wasn't enough to make up for the overpriced food, small portions, slow service, and billing issues. Overall, I left feeling like I paid far more than the experience was worth. There are plenty of Mexican restaurants in Orlando that offer larger portions, better service, and much better value for the money. I won't be returning.

That should probably tell you something. I started with the chips and green chile queso, and it was fantastic. The kind of queso where you tell yourself you're just going to have a little, and then suddenly you're scraping the bottom of the bowl wondering where it all went. For tacos, I went with a breakfast taco and the Republican, Trashy Style. The Republican is a brisket taco, and I replaced the lettuce with queso because apparently I have decided that vegetables are optional when there is queso available. That turned out to be an excellent decision. The food here is just excellent. Fresh, tasty, and absolutely bursting with flavor. Everything I'm looking for when I go out to eat. And yes, I know this is a quick-serve restaurant. But sometimes quick serve gets a bad rap.
