Queens was very good. Loved everything from the start. Inside was nice and clean. Servers were friendly and food was great. Came here while waiting for the Kissimmee Christmas Light Parade. We ordered the Molcajete which is a skull shaped cast iron with all the fixins - veggies, shrimp, fish, chorizo, chicken, beef, and pork. This was a better price than us getting individual fajitas and it also came with beans, rice, & tortillas. It was very tasty. We washed it down with two agua frescas - horchata and pineapple and it was so fresh. Loved our food and drinks here, & the whole experience was unexpectedly excellent. We weren't versed with this area, & we were only on foot so nice that we had this very good Mexican restaurant in walking distance of our location. read more

This little spot in Kissimmee was such a nice find. It feels so cozy and authentic and conveniently located by the lakefront park. The menu is affordable and had a range of the classics as well as a huge drink menu. Started off with complimentary chips and salsa and to drink got the horchata and it came in a huuuge cup, which was worth it and could probably be shared. I also tried the esquites (good portion), one chicken and one beef street style taco, and the birria tacos. The staff was really sweet, but the service could have been a little bit faster. This was a pickup order, but I would definitely eat there next time. It's a cool little spot with a Mexican-chic vibe. I ordered the beef ribs, which came with pico de gallo, sour cream, guacamole, rice, and puréed black beans. The portion size of the meat was pretty good--decent sized ribs and very filling overall. For the amount of food you get, I'd say the dish is definitely worth it. The only thing I would do differently next time is ask for some hot sauce to go with it. read more

Stopped here for lunch today while I was in the area. Located in quaint downtown Kissimmee area. No real parking lot, but plenty of street parking nearby. Adorable interior! Modern, clean and festive! A beautiful bar area at front of restaurant. A smaller restaurant but lots of seating. I noticed they also have a seating area outside. The service? Great! Our server was very attentive. Now, to the food! We both ordered the 3 taco lunch special with carnitas as our protein. Served with refried beans, yellow Mexican rice and a side of two salsas with some pickled onions to top. The carnitas/pork was juicy, tender and delicious! The veggies and tortillas? Very fresh! One test for me when dining Mexican? The refried beans! Theirs did not disappoint! I could have strictly had just a bowl of those beans and left happy! Lots of options on their menu. Our lunch entrees we around 11 dollars a piece, but plenty of food! Great portions and complimentary chips and salsa. If ever in the area again? I will definitely stop here! I was visiting from California for two weeks and was craving something spicy that tasted like back home. I found this spot on yelp and it did not disappoint! I had the Camarones a la Diabla combo. We also had the burrito mojado and a gluten friendly quesadilla for my baby girl with an allergy. The waiter was so sweet and right away gave us options for the gluten free quesadilla and mentioned the camarones were one of her favorites. Food did not disappoint! The amounts were huge so we got lucky and had left overs! Yum! The location was so cute! It was a week day so it was a bit on the quiet side which we didn't mind. Got seated and served very quickly. We ordered: tortilla soup, 1 kids chicken quesadillas with fries, birria steak tacos (exceptionally under seasoned), burrito mojado: if your craving rice and beans, this was just that! & lastly grilled chicken with stir fry veggies. Four out of five dishes were delicious! The steak was well seasoned and the cheese dip really made the burrito come to life. The only dish that was just ok was the taco salad. The chicken was not as flavorful as the steak. More lettuce would have made the taco salad less soggy. Service was fast. Where the drink menu was offered but one immediately stood out to me: the RON CHATA. This is practically a fishbowl sized rumchata with an entire creamsicle dipped in it (as pictured). With that I went with the Burrito Mojado (or the "wet" smothered burrito) with Birria. And lemme tell you. I DOTH DECREE... these were so packed with flavor... the queso fresco was such a great match to the birria. For the atmosphere, while this isn't (yet) a Michelin starred restaurant, it's still a cozy and down home atmosphere that makes you feel like a part of La familia! FoodieIQ Score: Birria quesadilla = 6.4/10 (Really Good!) I saw this new Mexican restaurant in downtown Kissimmee just opened up so you know I had to stop in and give it a try! I got the birria quesadilla which was loaded with meat and had a nice little crunch. The beef was cooked and seasoned well but the low score is due to the lack of flavor in the Birria consomé. I honestly enjoyed the quesadilla by itself more than I did with the consomé. I've been to some places where they have a variety of different consomés some sweet or some spicy and this place could definitely benefit from a spicy one or multiple different heat levels. I believe it would not only match the restaurant's theme but also bring an additional level of flavor to the meat that would push it closer to an 8/10. Especially since the quesadilla was really good but the birria part was just really underwhelming. Overall, the place looks amazing and the menu has quite a few different food and drink options so I'll definitely be back to try more! read more

I enjoyed trying Kings and Queens for their Taco Tuesday lunch special today. I ordered the Al Pastor, Asada, and King Taco. Out of the three, I enjoyed the King Taco the most. The meat was sliced in fajita-style pieces, making it more enjoyable to eat than the Asada taco, where the meat was in smaller, drier pieces. The Al Pastor was also delicious and juicy. I would return to this restaurant to try other items as the prices and service are reasonable. The server was attentive and even brought chips and salsa while I reviewed the menu. She checked on me consistently throughout my meal. The ambiance in the restaurant was excellent and made me feel like I was in Mexico. 3 1/2 stars. This seems to be part of a growing downtown Kissimmee dining experience. I remember just a few years back there only seemed to be a very small handful of restaurants here. In any case ... The dining area is divided into two halves, the front section being lit (as my wife said) like an airport runway, the back section being dimmer and more comfortable. The place was decorated in a Dia de los Muertos theme (we happened to hit them on the day of.) We weren't thrilled with our server, who was a bit pushy and split her time with hostessing. Because of the perceived pushiness, we ended up ordering our appetizer a few minutes after the entrees. The entrees came out very rapidly, just before the appetizer, queso dip. The chips were pretty good, not greasy, salsa was ok (not very chunky, only a hint of spice); the queso was very good, thick so it coated the chips and very flavorful. For an entree, I had the Manjar de Reyes, six different grilled meats, with sides of rice, refried beans, tortillas, pico, sour cream and guacamole. I loved one of the two steaks: juicy and flavorful. (The other was drier and blander.) The piccadillo was also good, as was the pork (kind of a shredded pernil but moister.) The other two (the chicken and the chorizo spiced meat) were bland. Dessert was the El Dorado Queens, a monstrous ice cream sundae with fried ice cream, churros, fried dough triangles, fried chips and chocolate sauce. My wife and I could barely eat half. read more
