Carne Asada tastes amazing in a Torta. You can get other meats instead of beef such as pork or pollo (chicken). It has fresh topping such as guacamole, lettuce and tomatoes on it. The bread was really fresh and toasted. Tijuana Tacos is def the place to visit for a Torta in Anne Arundel County. Been meaning to try this place for a while and I'm glad we did. We ordered chips and guacamole, tacos, and a steak chimichanga. The guacamole was smoother with a blended texture and very tasty. The steak chimichanga came smothered in a choice of either salsa verde or rojo. I picked the verde and that also was very good. I expected the tortilla on the chimichanga to be fried so was surprised when it wasn't, but it was tasty anyway so no harm done. My friend said their tacos were authentic, with the favorite being the carnitas. They have a variety of sodas and other drinks in their refrigerator case that looked interesting. There's not a waiter however when you come in find a seat walk up to the counter place your order and wants it's ready they will bring it to your table. I ordered 2 tacos but it was more like 4 because they were Robust in size and once the filling fell out a little as I was eating I just prepared an additional taco with one of the layered tortillas. My guy loves Carne Asada tacos, and I could tell by the look of the meat that it was going to be flavourful!! We were not disappointed at all. I'd say top 5 best tacos I've had in the area thus far Here's everything my bf & I got: 3 different tacos ($13.99): we got carne asada, al pastor, and chorizo. These were the highlight of the meal for sure. The tortillas were delicious, and the meat was so flavorful. Also LOVED the salsas that came with - both the verde and roja packed some nice heat! One Sope & Tostada ($4.50 each) and topped with beans, lettuce, tomato, onion and sour cream! These weren't our favorite but they were still good - definitely better with the salsas. Milanese de Pollo Torta ($11.99) - the bread was nice and soft, and this was tasty but again, the tacos were the highlight for sure! Additional Notes I don't know about takeout, but for dine-in, they give you complimentary chips! REALLY crispy and yum. Although I'm not Mexican, I am Hispanic and their tacos tasted as authentic as you can get in the US. I got the carnitas, carne asada, and Al pastor sopes and they were SO good!! My brother got 3 tacos de pollo and he finished them up like there was no tomorrow. We also got two Sandia aguas frescas and they were 10000/10. I'm not even kidding, if you're not getting anything to eat, try that agua fresca because no juice or soda could ever compare to it. Don't judge a book by its cover - this unassuming little shop on a busy road is an absolute taco gem! I happened to pass by it while running some errands and just had to try it. This little hole in the wall is definitely a hidden gem located in the Glen Burnie/Severn, MD area. While not visually appealing on the inside or the surrounding area, Tijuana Tacos makes up for it with friendly service and very good food. I initially wanted to order an enchilada but was sadly informed that they were out of them, so I went with the chicken fajitas instead. My plate was plentiful, seasoned very well, and filling... I would definitely order them again. My SIL was famished after taking the grandkids swimming nearby, and persuaded me that I wanted to try this little hole-in-the-wall place. I was actually quite pleased after some initial confusion with the staff. In true family-owned restaurant style, they have a young man who waits the tables, and he left our menus sitting on our table. So the young woman who brought our plates from the kitchen had no place to put them! All that aside, the food was great. I love carnitas, and it's usually how I judge Mexican food ;) I ordered one tostada with that, and another with marinated chicken (pollo loco, ha). Both were very flavorful, and the carnitas was especially good. Lots of places don't use enough spice, and this was truly piquant. The chicken was mostly interesting for the fact that it was cut into very small bits that resembled macaroni. But again, the flavor was perfect. The lettuce, tomato and onion were all fresh and the only thing I could ask to be different was that they used the thick sour cream instead of the drizzled sort. My granddaughter devoured her chicken fingers and quite a few fries, grandson drank a LOT of horchata (it was tasty, I tried it) and several fries, while my SIL enjoyed tres tacos that he pronounced delicious. Well, on the way back from the airport I was on Yelp (but of course!) and saw this place. Hole in the wall for sure! My friend that lives in Glen Burnie showed us this spot and it was by far one of the best taco spots I've been to in the DMV area. In the photo are tostada's, which is basically a crunchy flat shell on the bottom instead of your traditional soft or crunchy tortilla. So so so good, and the portions are way than enough. Go support a local gem!! I wish they offered a monthly meal subscription because I would be the first in line to sign up. The food is delicious and the customer service is great. I visit 2x a week before the lunch rush. More than that and I'll have to increase my steps from 10k-20k because the food is that good. Easy access from the highway and easy to find. Parking is ok, depending on when you visit. If you need a visual please use google earth or maps. Prices are reasonable. I would rather spend my dollars here versus one of those "big chain" restaurants. I get the convenience of those other places but the food here is really great and authentic. It had rice and beans, the massive slab of meat, some side greens with perfect pieces of avocado, a slice of gorgeous cactus and a massive roasted jalapeño were sitting pretty on top of the meat. They give you a knife and fork, and expect you to use the warm side of tortillas they bring you, to scoop up/wrap up the pieces and eat the platter that way. It was soooooooOoOoOoOooo good. I didn't try my friends carne asada burrito, but it was a fair deal smaller than my meal. My niece and I were excited to try a spot in Annapolis until we saw the crowds coming in for the Navy vs Air Force game. So we decided to find something on our way back to Baltimore. We asked Google and this was one of our options. We saw a picture and just knew it had to be authentic. We walked into a small but full dining room that included a couple of police officers who looked to be regulars. We went straight to the menus that were simple and straight forward. I was sad there were no burritos or tamales listed but there were plenty of other options to choose from. So I decided on chips with guacamole, 3 tacos, a Coke, and flan. Well, for whatever reason they didn't have guacamole or flan. So I substituted salsa in for guacamole and skipped dessert. It was roughly $20. A little steep but let me tell you, it was worth it! The tacos were great and I had enough chips for us both to snack on and still bring some home with plenty of both red and green salsa. Should of stuck with what I wanted cause O don't think $14 was worth it because they don't included the salad portion in all platters just the first 3 listed.
