I'm glad others have had great experiences here! While the service and drinks were stellar for me, I'm not a fan of the food and quality is average. The chips were stale and salty, the salsa didn't taste fresh. Between the fajitas and tacos, I've found quality of the proteins were lacking. Nothing more off-putting than to be served gristle. I think I found a legit Mexican place on Ritchie Highway? When I walked in, it reminded me so much of the TexMex places I used to go to in Dallas and it made my heart super happy. I didn't even plan to be here. I just happen to have something wrong with my car so I stopped at the Firestone in the same strip mall and they decided to go here while I was waiting for my car. They have a really expensive menu and they bring you chips and salsa which I always love and the owners are actually from Mexico. This restaurant has been open since 2010 and they were very impressed with my tamarindo order. The staff is really friendly and the decorations in the restaurant is very vibey. They have bar seating and tons of cutie booths. I got the chicken and mole honestly, the mole felt a little flat, but it was really good with some hot sauce. I got a chicken quesadilla and a caesar salad with grilled chicken. Originally, I only asked for the quesadilla, but my waitress advised me that the quesadillas are quite small and suggested I get something else too. I am so happy she said that, she was 100% correct. We tried cactus for the first time!! It wasn't our favorite, but we can say we tried it. It's surprisingly sour. I'm not really sure how that flavor was supposed to play along with the rest of our meal, but we did have a strange combination of food. Yesterday was Jeremy's birthday. We were supposed to go, as a large group, to Philly, but then one of the group got the dreaded Covid, so it ended up being just the four of us. Jeremy gets super excited when he gets to hang out with his friends, so much so that he just couldn't pick the restaurant he wanted to eat at to celebrate his 43rd birthday. Our friends live across the river, so we went over there. And since we're currently poorAF, I used Yelp to research a couple of places until I found a restaurant that we could afford. Then, because our friends are awesome, they paid anyway. Yay! It was a Friday night, so the restaurant was packed. And because I'm not comfortable using a booth because I'm forced to sit at the end, because of my wheelchair, and I block everyone in, we had to wait longer than the other patrons for a table. Jeremy ordered the beef nachos, no lettuce. I thought it was going to come out as an appetizer, but it came out with our meal. I guess they want you to focus on the chips and salsa before your meal? He was warned that they were plain, and they didn't look like much, so I didn't have any until later that night when I got the munchies. Yes, the chips were soggy by then, but the meat and cheese are so flavorful. It blew my mind how something so unremarkable-looking could be so delicious. We shared the El Molcajete (*Portion for two approx. Grilled rib-eye, chicken, shrimp, mexican sausage, cactus and jalapeño poppers on top of melted cheese and chipotle sauce, all this coming in a sizzling molcajete. Served with a side of rice, beans, lettuce, guacamole and sour cream...$29.99). We had no idea what a Molcajete was - it's sort of like a giant mortar. It's heavy as hell. I think it's made of stone. And they weren't kidding when they said it would be sizzling. I focused on the beans and rice, with guac and sour cream. No matter which Mexican place I go to, I cannot resist those creamy refried beans. I also ate the jalapeno poppers but they weren't very good. I don't like poppers with cheddar cheese inside. I prefer cream cheese. Personally, I don't feel like the meal was worth the price, and I kind of wish that Jeremy and I had both gotten $15 meals, but live and learn. Jeremy was absolutely delighted to wear the sombrero and have the staff sing to him. He says that was the first time that has ever happened to him, so TWO firsts during the same meal. The guac is an easy upsell when they bring out your chips and salsa, but beware: it is huge and clocks in at over $10. It is very tasty and comes in a pretty molcajete. My family and I opted for the tacos al pastor, flautas, and taquitos. The servings were HUGE; I've never seen so much al pastor meat in a taco. The pork was fine; I've had better, but it was still tasty. It's good on its own, but it comes with a fiery chile de arbol and tomatillo salsa that blew me away. The flautas and taquitos were yummy with a nice crunchy shell and queso fundido sauce to cover. Add a side of rice and refried beans, and you're set. For the portion sizes, the prices are fair. After placing drink and appetizer orders, I discovered that ordering "an original margarita" meant you get the larger size. Would have been appropriate for the server to confirm the size. I ordered a burrito and three soft tacos and the free chips and salsa. The chips tasted very oily and overcooked, the salsa was ok but nothing special. The burrito was edible but the steak seemed to be low quality meet, and the flavor was not great. The only saving grace was was covered in melted cheese. The tacos i found disgusting, two bites and I gave up. Each taco was just ground meet with some shredded cheese and iceberg lettuce (nothing else) but the meet was gross and tasted awful. My waiter barely said two words when I spoke to him in Spanish and never refilled my drink or offered more chips/salsa, and never asked if everything was ok. A great authentic Mexican cuisine adventure. I first discovered Mi Pueblo on a trip back from Ohio. I stayed in Fairmont West Virginia and it was recommended to me by some Mexican construction workers at my motel. I was so impressed that when I returned to Baltimore, I checked to see if any were in my area. I found this one in Glen Burnie and tried it last night for the first time. Again, I am so impressed by the service and the quality / quantity of food you receive for your money. I couldn't eat all of my food, but luckily since I'm not in a motel room this time, I could take it home. I will be returning more than once. I highly recommend this establishment. read more

It's nice to see that they still hold their authentic Mexican roots in their food, music, and restaurant as a whole. I got the burrito Norteño and my friend got the fajitas and they were very tasty. I was craving Mexican food and we're still not comfortable dining-in anywhere, especially with the Omicron variant spreading rapidly. The first star I'm knocking a star off of this review, is because when my boyfriend went to pick up the food, he informed me that no one was wearing a mask. None of the staff and we have to assume the kitchen staff as well. Great :/ The second star I'm knocking off is for some of the food: -The ground beef was kind of gross. Almost like mushy, tasteless dog food. - The shredded chicken was dry and tasteless. - The rice had no flavor and had the same texture and flavor as something from a microwavable packet. If I bought a Spanish rice box from the grocery store, it probably would have tasted better. However, here are the positives: - The portions were huge. I was afraid our entrees wouldn't be big and filling enough but they definitely were. - The tortillas were great, the beans were delicious and I loved the shredded beef. The cheese dip covering my boyfriend's dish was really good too. - I did not order a side of chips and salsa, and we were given them anyway. Free chips and a cup of salsa, so good! We came here a few weeks ago with some friends and family after our friend's daughter had her dance recital. We were seated quickly and drinks were taken quickly, but service was kind of lacking afterwards. The person bringing out the food was very soft spoken and no one could hear what he was saying. It took a few minutes to get everyone their correct order. Drinks were not refilled in a timely manner either. However the quality and quantity of food made up for it. I ordered Arroz con Pollo, and there was enough on my plate for 2 or 3 meals. I ate what I could, but left the rest behind because I had no way to take it home with me at the time. I'd definitely return and hope for better service, but I won't let that deter me from the good food.
