Instead of treating customers with courtesy and professionalism, I felt dismissed and spoken to in an unprofessional manner. I went to this auto repair shop for a vehicle inspection, and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The manager/owner was rude and disrespectful. While I was waiting, I noticed the employees standing around talking and the owner even came out to ride an electric skateboard in the front of the shop, so I politely asked if the technician had finished the oil change on the car ahead of me. Instead of answering my question professionally, the manager/owner told me I could "stay or go." I found his response dismissive and unprofessional. As a customer, I was simply trying to understand how much longer the wait would be. A little courtesy and communication go a long way, but I didn't receive either during my visit. Based on this experience, I would not return and cannot recommend this shop. I went to Central Valley Auto Repair which is three blocks down on 234 N. Central Ave. Better service. Nick's Auto was a reputable shop for many years under the original owner, John. After John sold the business and retired, the professionalism and customer service that made this shop well respected is gone. BEWARE!!

He ended up replacing my backup light with a used bulb that was dim and charged me 50 dollars for it. Next, he "replaced" my entire washer fluid reservoir when only the hose needed replacing . A panel from the bottom of my car ended up falling out 2 days later and all my washer fluid fell out. I ended up leaving with more problems than I had because I had to find someone who could put the panel back up. Avoid these people if you can.

I recently found an honest and good mechanic shop Called Central Valley Auto repair. Mr. Muhammad is a very nice man and made me feel so relaxed and comfortable. I have been hearing and feeling a grinding noise on the right side of my Ford explorer truck for a while. I kept postponing to get it fixed due to not knowing any shops i felt i could trust. I started looking online for the best shops near me. I came across Central Valley Auto Repair. I took my car there and spoke with Mr. Muhammad, he said I would have to leave the truck and he will inspect and give me a call. He call me back shortly with a great quote for the parts and labor so told him to proceed with the repairs. A few minutes later he called me again and stated there was more issues that needed to be addressed with the repairs. The quote for the additional parts and labor was also great and fair. When I went to pick up the truck Mr. Muhammad informed me the truck was repaired and better than when I brought it in and if anything is wrong with his work to bring it back and he will fix it. As I drove the car home I kept thinking to myself this car is riding amazing feels like it was new. Before I reached home I got another call from Mr. Muhammad asking how was the car riding. There's been times where in the process of working on my car,they've found something that could've caused a major accident.Instead of them not telling me,Lenny would call me and always explain the situation in laymen terms so I wasn't confused or surprised by the price if he did fix the problem. When my truck wouldn't pass inspection, they did a diagnosis and told me it was because it was a high mileage engine and worn down internally.I went to another shop for a second opinion, and the other shop charged me $250 to tell me the same thing Lenny told me for $50 dollars! Also there's been times where I didn't pass inspection and they didn't charge me just because they knew my car needed to complete a drive cycle.I personally like to buy the part then pay them for the labor,but I've learned the hard way to just let them buy the parts because they never get it wrong.And they even give a year warranty on their work. Yes, it is hot, 100 degrees outside, however when I brought the car in the sticker was connected to the windshield and the sticker is the same from the DMV, nothing to do with my particular car. Am I wrong in expecting at LEAST for them to take some tape and tape it back on the windshield, or AT LEAST let the customer know sorry when taking off the inspection sticker by mistake the registration sticker was scraped and due to the heat came off. (besides pieces of the old inspection sticker were left on the dashboard, not very professional) Where is the service for me to get to my car and just see the sticker off?? don't know if it's off the windshield, they can ticket you for that. Few years ago, brought a different car in for whatever reason and after few days of them telling me they are looking at it, go on the lot and see my back window opened while it was raining, ask them why the window is opened while it's raining?? oh, it's broken, WHAT?? it was working fine and closed when I brought it in!!! Not only was it more than $500 cheaper, they said the job could wait. I checked periodically, and 3 months later I finally had my front and back brakes replaced at a great price. Today, (Monday morning), I woke up to my car headlights being on and could not turn them off. I attempted to get the car into my dealership (8:30 call to service department, left message and then drove over to dealership at 10:15) but they were so busy and could not give me an appointment until Thursday morning. I drove over to Wonderama. I didn't have to wait too long. They got the lights off and ordered a part which they should have tomorrow to fix the problem. Ed, the owner is delightful to work with as are his employees who are all knowledgeable and kind. Make sure you check this place out for all your car service needs.
