I had an extremely upsetting experience with Carvana, both in terms of their policies and how their…read morecustomer service treated me. I began a purchase for a 2021 Land Rover Range Rover Velar through Carvana. On March 19, 2026, I received an email from Carvana that my order had been approved. Later that same day, before midnight, I decided I no longer wanted the vehicle and canceled the purchase. I then received another email from Carvana confirming that "Your vehicle purchase was canceled on March 19 at 11:58 p.m. EDT" and that my refund was being reviewed and processed. In other words, I canceled the same day I was approved, well within roughly 24 hours, and long before the car was ever shipped or in transit. The issue is a 690‑dollar "nonrefundable" shipping fee. The day before, on March 18, 2026 at 5:46 p.m. EDT, Carvana emailed me saying they had "initiated your nonrefundable payment of $690.00" to cover shipping and labeled it a "Nonrefundable shipping charge" to my Citibank account. In a small note at the bottom of that email, they added that if I canceled my order by March 19, 2026 at 5:46 p.m. EDT, they would refund the shipping fee. While I did not cancel by that exact timestamp, I did cancel later on March 19--within about 24 hours of approval--and before any shipping actually began or any transport service was provided. Despite the fact that my order was approved and canceled the same day and the vehicle never moved an inch, Carvana refused to refund the 690‑dollar shipping fee. When I contacted support via chat and spoke with an advocate named Amanda, I explained that the car was never shipped, that my purchase and cancellation happened within roughly 24 hours, and that I had emails confirming both approval and cancellation on March 19. Instead of looking at the situation reasonably, Amanda repeatedly hid behind the "nonrefundable" label and the technical 5:46 p.m. cutoff, showed no flexibility, and showed no understanding that they were keeping hundreds of dollars for a service that was never actually rendered. She thanked me for my "patience" while essentially refusing to help. In my view, this is exactly how a policy becomes predatory: Carvana takes a large "nonrefundable" shipping fee up front, then keeps it even when a customer cancels quickly, the car is never shipped, and the company has not actually provided the service that fee is supposed to cover. It may be technically within their fine print, but it feels like they are profiting from customers' cancellations rather than acting in good faith. I will never buy a car from Carvana again, and I strongly encourage others to think very carefully before paying any shipping fee or relying on their customer service to treat you fairly.

Capital One gives you the confirmed overall price for the vehicle so you don't need to negotiate the price once you get down there. After 2 hours of test driving and completing the applications they jumped up the price by $9,000 and claim that the sites listed price is how they get business in the door - false advertising! A $9,000 commission must be nice! A bunch of scammers! 0/10 I addition, no where on the site did it say there were any disclaimers. The sales manager also mentioned that he couldn't find your hidden information listed on Capital One Auto Navigator nor did the site bring me to your main website. He clearly said which I'll quote "this is how we get people in the door". https://www.capitalone.com/cars/vehicle-details/2019/Mercedes-Benz/GLC/300/WDC0G4JB8KV146083 You should be the one doing your own research and not wasting the customers time. I called prior, showed my quote upon arriving and once I completed the whole process which was well over 2 hours is when I was told that not only would my quote not be honored but jacked up by $9,000 minus any taxes or dmv fees which I was more than willing to pay. Again, it's bad business! 0/10 and would not recommend even to my worst enemy. Do better!

Went in to deposit cash, less than $1000, and they ask for ID??? Where they do that at? Left my wallet at home and wasn't able to present one for a DEPOSIT ONLY transaction. Went home grabbed my ID visited another location and attempted the same transaction, no ID presented. Voilà, no questions asked...money is now nice and cozy in my account smh!! P.S. This isn't the first time a new policy just happened to be initiated at this location and nowhere else. Get it together!

She prompted me to resign the withdrawal slip, which was no problem for me, however, this account was created in high school and I am a full blown adult now so of course my signature has changed over time. After asking for my signature she asked if I had a debit card. I do not have a debit card and haven't had one since 2017 because my primary banking is with TD, a debit card is not a necessity for me. She requested I verify the address on file in which I told her it could be one of three addresses. After asking me questions she then proceeded to tell me I couldn't make the withdrawal because I don't have a debit card. That is BS. How does that even make sense? I worked as a teller for 2 years, why would she tell such a stupid lie. I left the bank with $2000 cash because that's the most I could take, which also made no sense being that I needed a debit card to withdraw to begin with. Anyways, today 9/15/21, I visited a branch in Rockville Centre via the drive up window. I asked the teller for a withdrawal slip and proceeded to withdraw $10000 without any issue. I'm assuming I was discriminated against and profiled because I am a young, black woman and there is no way possible someone like me can withdraw a strange amount like that. SMH! Do better!

Absolutely Incredible Experience at 5 Towns Auto Sales!…read more From the moment I spoke with Randy over the phone, I knew I was in good hands. His calm, reassuring tone let me know my needs would be met--and he didn't disappoint. I took a 2-hour trip by public transportation just to get to this dealership, and the second I arrived, the entire team made me feel like family. Although I couldn't take advantage of their valet pickup service, they more than made up for it with a warm welcome, smiles all around, and even refreshments while I got settled. You can tell this is a family-owned business that genuinely cares about people, not just pushing cars off the lot. They told me straight up: "We're here to move cars and help people"--and that's exactly what they did. With a 643 credit score and $3K down, I wasn't expecting much. But to my surprise, I was able to drive off with a 2021 Ford Escape Titanium Edition--a car valued at $21K--for $4,500 below market according to CarGurus. That's a serious deal. Ab assured me that his finance partner Ish would make the numbers work--and he delivered. They didn't just hit my monthly payment target--they came within $14 of my goal. That level of precision and commitment blew me away. The rest of the team? Rockstars. Adam and Mike were hustling non-stop, taking pictures, answering phones, helping other customers--all while staying attentive to me. Gabby was phenomenal--she jumped on the phone with my insurance and not only got my new car covered, but bundled my other vehicle and my condo insurance for under $500/month. And I still haven't added my defensive driver discount yet! This entire process was seamless, stress-free, and honestly a little miraculous. No games. No BS. Just honest people doing right by their customers. I give 5 Towns Auto Sales a SOLID 5+ stars. If you're looking for a dealership that keeps it real and works hard to get you into a reliable vehicle--run, don't walk. I'm recommending them to everyone I know. Thank you again, 5 Towns! You changed the game for me

I called about a car and they have about $4000 in fees for that car. The price listed online is not the real price. Also if you are not financing through them they will charge you thousands extra. They give fake names over the phone to try and manipulate you into coming in and wasting your time. The guy on the phone that I spoke to told me that he will do 1000 in dealers fees instead of 3500. He was supposed to text me that way I have his name and contact information so that I can reference who I spoke to when I came in. He never did that. I called them before I was about to leave my house to come in and they said that they don't have anybody by that name that works there then I spoke to another person and he told me a name and I called right back and the lady that answers the phone says that we don't have somebody by that name that works here. They will try and tell you whatever you want to hear over the phone and they say that nobody buys a car over the phone... I have bought several exotic cars including a Lamborghini aventador over the phone from out of state. They had a regular Mercedes s580 that I was going to buy to have as a beater cause I liked the spec. No dealer does business the way they do. I was a cash buyer so I have more leverage as far as buying a car. Most people will finance a car which is why they will have you come in to fill out a credit app so that they can hit your credit and pressure you into buying a car and if you don't, then you just wasted a bunch of inquiries on your credit and wasted your time. Stay away from this dealer they are scammers and Timewasters
