A group of my friends and I came to the Tiki Bar on Friday night. Happy hour was great and we sat down for dinner. The ribeye was delicious, along with the cod and chicken parm. First time visiting the Tiki Bar and maybe it was an off day for the bar but I was not impressed with either the service or food. However both the beer and live music were spot on. After ordering few beers and appetizers we were constantly asked by our server whether we ready to place another order it was almost borderline harassment to place additional orders. When we did receive the main dishes I was very disappointed in the quality. The chicken panini resembled a chicken burger patty that was both cold and tasteless. Even the cures were cold and slightly soggy. The burgers were slightly better luke warm but cooked and prepared to my guests request. The beers and music made up for a disappointing lunch/dinner. Restaurant featured a full bar along with outside seating overlooking the local marina. Tiki Bar appears to be a local favorite based on the number of customers who were acknowledged by name by the staff and like I said maybe it was an off day for the staff but I'll think I'll stick to the drinks next visit. read more

Came here since we were hungry and couldn't agree on what to eat. Open seasonal: the Summer (check their site for details). During Summer Saturdays, there is a live band playing in the evenings, which is great for energy. Sometimes, it may get packed so try to get in early otherwise you might have to wait. There is a bar with TV with sports for you to watch the game. Check in with the hostess, to sit at the bar, hightop tables, regular tables, or you can sit outside - if the weather is nice. I've always maintained I would never use the overused cliche "hidden gem". Unfortunately, in the case of Tiki Bar At Sunset Harbor I have no choice. Why? Because the first time my wife and I went here we were literally in the parking lot and weren't sure we were there. It's nestled in a residential neighborhood within Sunset Harbor Marina. An actual,,, well you know. This is a must go to place. They offer happy hour daily, all day Thursday. Reduced drinks and a really good happy hour food selection. Additionally, they have an extensive menu which features, seafood, steaks, pasta and burgers. On this occasion we went for the happy hour menu. Added bonus: trivia night. My wife and I are avid trivia participants and this one is pretty good if you're so inclined. Drink wise my wife went with her go to favorite, the Lemon Elderflower Gin Spritz which she proclaims is The Best Drink Ever! As a rum fan I grabbed a few Sunset Punches. A solid rum punch, not the best in Patchogue but good nonetheless. We ordered food from the happy hour menu. Shrimp corn chowder soup. Awesome. Chicken fingers were top notch. Antonio's baked clams were good. They are diced clams, heavily breaded and a bit salty. If you're like me and enjoy clams I'd go with the Clams casino off the regular menu. The atmosphere here is spectacular! Vacation atmosphere right here at home. Great vibe, friendly crowd. By the way, it's called Sunset Harbor for a reason. The sunset view here is spectacular! Went to dinner with a pretty large group last night, the ambience is Seascape-esk..... very pretty very, very open nice place to host a party right on the marina beautiful views of the boats they have an outdoor patio with bar and the band "second chance" was performing . They were fantastic.!! The food is very good. I had a tuna poke bowl which was delicious prepared perfectly, and the tuona was fresh..... I also had a spicy margarita with pineapple that was prepared perfectly.. The only problem we experienced was cold sweet potato fries on a couple of the orders...... but they absolutely made good on the orders and deducted the bread from our bull. We appreciated that........ overall it was a beautiful evening and I would definitely dine there.....noted as a perfect location for an event or party..... very spacious. My taste buds were blown out of the water! My sister-in-law and here wife took to me to he "Tiki Bar". They said, "we will have a good time", "We can catch the live entertainment and there is plenty of people there" I was like hell yeah! So, we got there, and it was hopping! (I scream a lot because I am almost deaf) We were seated after greeting the owners and staff. I wish I had a place to go like this. We ordered, well my dinner was chosen for me (Thank you both) It was the "Blackened Cowboy Rib Eye" with the green beans almondine and the delicious twice baked potatoes. When the food arrived, I was astonished by the size and look of the steak. When I sliced it, I knew I was going to love it. The inside was slightly bleeding and the outside slightly charred to keep the flavor in. My first bite was as I expected rich and beefy with a slight horseradish tangy taste. It took me a while to finish it because I am a foody and just took my time with every bite. The green beans were perfection, and the twice baked potatoes were delicious and on par my wife's. Every time we go here it is great. Definitely a locals place because it hidden in a quiet neighborhood in a marina. Antonia and his family has been putting out amazing food since I was in collage ( 1998 ). One of the best baked clams and calamari I have had. The tuna appetizer is amazing. I had the steak panini and my wife had the truffle burger. I have watched this place go from a little tiki hut on a deck to this new enclosed restaurant. You can take your boat their. A hidden gem! Found this place by doing a google search for happy hour places in Patchogue. Cute tiki bar located next to a catering hall and a marina. They have live music. Super relaxed atmosphere. The waitresses were so sweet and nice. I did the salad with tuna which was good and my friend had the stuffed shrimp which was also really good. We also did the calamari app which was ok and the mozzarella sticks. Food overall was pretty decent. Wine pour was good as well. My wife (vegetarian) and I went for dinner. She ordered a veggie burger and fries. When her food came she took a bite and it tasted off. She took one more bite and said it tasted like fish. We called the manager over and she checked with the kitchen. Turns out they gave my wife a crab pattie by mistake. The quickly whisked away the wrong order and said the correct order is on the way. ( we wanted to leave at that point but didn't want to cause a scene). The correct food came and she ate it and just wanted to leave. The manager came over and said the owner would like to buy us a round of drinks or desert for the error that was made. We reluctantly accepted a round of drinks. The bill came and they charged for my wifes food. ( I guess they figured the drinks made up for it). My wife has been sick ever since we got home. Her body was thrown off by eating fish. If it continues we will have to go to the hospital. This was all caused by a downplayed mistake at this restaurant. Maybe they should be more careful, a mistake like this could literally kill someone. read more

Love dining out at The Tiki Bar at Sunset Harbour! The island ambiance is really awesome and the staff is so friendly and accommodating. They provided a high chair for our son right away and had a table waiting for us right when we got there and gave them our name for our reservation. The food is totally delicious. My absolute favorite is their stuffed shrimp! Definitely a great menu with variety and everything we have tried so far as been excellent. The rainbow cake dessert is absolutely decadent and worth it! We also really love their tiki sign that they have which is the perfect photo backdrop! Plus they are tented so even if it rains you are still protected. My wife and I grew up in the area, had no idea this place existed ! Today we found it and boy am I glad we did. It's such a nice little spot on the water. They have live music on the weekends also. Came here with another couple on a hot and humid Sunday. The place was packed around 4:00. Checked in with the hostess for a table and ordered drinks at the bar while we waited. Hubby ordered a bourbon neat and it came with two fruit flies in it.. Hopefully we didn't pay extra for that. LOL I ordered a white sangria which tasted like apple juice to me. Do not recommend. Other couple ordered a BP Toasted lager and the elder flower gin drink which she really liked. Got a table about a half hour later. It's a tiki bar so no air conditioning. There were a couple large fans near the ceiling but it was still very hot and the fans didn't seem to rotate. Ordered a second round of drinks. This time I ordered a cucumber martini which was very good and refreshing. Looked at the menu to order four dishes to share. There seems to be an identity crisis with the mussels and shrimp ceviche. The menu says "PEI fresh LI mussels". Which is it; Prince Edward Island or Long Island mussels. They're not near each other. Shrimp ceviche descriptions says "cooked shrimp". That's not what ceviche is supposed to be. Tried to order the mussels but they were out of them. Ordered Sirloin panini, kind of dry; fish tacos, not great but not terrible; clams casino, big piece of bacon on top but nothing else really; and nachos which was pretty decent. Probably wouldn't get anything but the nachos if we went back again. Music was very good but very loud. Couldn't have a conversation at the table if they were playing and we were three tables back. I would suggest a table on the patio as you can still hear the band and have a conversation. Not a place I would come back to as there are so many other places to choose from on the water in the area. read more
