Came here since we were hungry and couldn't agree on what to eat. Open seasonal: the Summer (check their site for details). During Summer Saturdays, there is a live band playing in the evenings, which is great for energy. Sometimes, it may get packed so try to get in early otherwise you might have to wait. There is a bar with TV with sports for you to watch the game. Check in with the hostess, to sit at the bar, hightop tables, regular tables, or you can sit outside - if the weather is nice. You can always find something to eat...appetizers - to snack or share, seafood, pasta, salad, or panini. Go give them a try if you are in the area.

I've always maintained I would never use the overused cliche "hidden gem". Unfortunately, in the case of Tiki Bar At Sunset Harbor I have no choice. Why? Because the first time my wife and I went here we were literally in the parking lot and weren't sure we were there. It's nestled in a residential neighborhood within Sunset Harbor Marina. An actual,,, well you know. This is a must go to place. They offer happy hour daily, all day Thursday. Reduced drinks and a really good happy hour food selection. Additionally, they have an extensive menu which features, seafood, steaks, pasta and burgers. On this occasion we went for the happy hour menu. Added bonus: trivia night. My wife and I are avid trivia participants and this one is pretty good if you're so inclined. Drink wise my wife went with her go to favorite, the Lemon Elderflower Gin Spritz which she proclaims is The Best Drink Ever! As a rum fan I grabbed a few Sunset Punches. A solid rum punch, not the best in Patchogue but good nonetheless. We ordered food from the happy hour menu. Shrimp corn chowder soup. Awesome. Chicken fingers were top notch. Antonio's baked clams were good. They are diced clams, heavily breaded and a bit salty. If you're like me and enjoy clams I'd go with the Clams casino off the regular menu. The atmosphere here is spectacular! Vacation atmosphere right here at home. Great vibe, friendly crowd. By the way, it's called Sunset Harbor for a reason. The sunset view here is spectacular! Open Thursday through Sunday. Live music each day. Check it out. You won't be disappointed. But, leave 2 seats at the bar. Ok?!

Pure chaos from the outdoor area to the bar but the food was pretty good! The service took forever but the place was super busy, so it was to be expected - loved the live band, very fun and summer aesthetic

wish this place was open year round! Such a cute fun spot, especially in the summer! I love finding hidden gems like these on Long Island, especially ones that are right by the water! The perfect spot that you need to visit on a beautiful sunny day! The drinks are so good, and the food is really delicious! You really won't be disappointed here

Service was great. Music & ambience was very nice. However I wish I could have liked the drink, it was prettier than it tasted. Was too thick and too sweet and syrupy. Mozzarella sticks were delicious

    Spicy Margarita

First time dining at Tiki Bar and I had a great time! Came here and sat at the bar and enjoyed the happy hour specials. I ordered a spicy margarita and really enjoyed it! The perfect amount of spicy (should've taken the photo sooner). I also ordered the chicken tenders off the happy hour menu and they were fantastic. Crispy and the honey mustard was delicious. I loved the overall feel of this restaurant. Casual environment but the staff is very professional and welcoming. Loved the live music too!

Delicious food, great drinks and fun atmosphere! Plus - live music every night. The tiki waters are and Antonio's baked clams are a favorite!

Ask the Community - Tiki Bar At Sunset Harbour

We're confused. Went there for happy hour yesterday, and tiki bar looked like a ghost town--totally closed. Looked for an entrance to the restaurant and it looked like a DJ was loading in for a wedding. Is it open to the public?

Only open Thursday's thru Sunday 4:00 opens. The Tiki Bar is a walk thru the parking lot.

Do I need reservations for a happy hour on Friday?

Not sure. I would definitely call there to double check. I don't think you would need a reservation but give a quick call just to make sure!

After dinner, I approached the gentleman collecting the entrance fee to ask what time the fee begins and whether it applies to guests and families who are coming specifically for dinner. He informed me that there is no set time for collecting the fee and that it is entirely at his discretion. I respectfully asked him to clarify how that policy is determined, but he refused to provide an explanation. When I asked for his name, he responded that he "doesn't have one" and immediately ignored me, turning his attention to the next customer approaching the entrance. I found this interaction to be extremely unprofessional and discourteous. My concern is less about the entrance fee itself and more about the lack of transparency and the dismissive manner in which my questions were handled. Customers should be treated with respect when asking reasonable questions about a business's policies. Since he refused to identify himself, I have attached a photo of the individual. Because of this experience, I intend to share my concerns with management. Unfortunately, this interaction has left a very negative impression, and I do not plan on returning.

So many boats, lounge chairs, picnic tables, and you can even sit at or in the boats while you enjoy your drink, food, and the views. The service was great. You can take the menu to view and you order at the bar. The young woman taking our order was friendly, made suggestions, and chatted with us while we ordered. On Thursdays, they offer free boat rides which we didn't take but it was really nice that the option was there. It looked nice and calming out on the water and they had life vests for everyone. We saw a few families out on the boat rides and it looked like a cool addition to the evening. We ordered the Hey There, Sailor ( rum punch). It was delicious. Sweet and strong. We shared the crabby fries, which was good. My friends and I agreed that it would have been even better if the crab and the sauce (Or some other binding agent) were more incorporated but the fries were crispy and hot. I ordered the shrimp roll which came with chips which was pretty good and a nice size. I liked the picnic style tables and the overall vibe. It was like sitting in a friend/family members yard on the water and just relaxing with good food and drinks.

No answer so we decided to come before opening so that it wasnt their busiest time, ordered a burger, and brought a celiac safe meal for myself. We did have a shopping bag for my dogs essentials in the heat, and his water bottle was on the table. We brought our own two seltzers which I am assuming may not be allowed and I apologize for that. No one seemed to mind until it seems a family that ordered expensive drinks asked the owner Steve to have us move. Ofcourse, it was the one time my dog stepped up onto the seat for water, but other than that we specifically only took up the corner of our table incase anyone needed the other side. Plenty of space, and dog is very friendly. Steve couldve asked nicely but was incredibly rude. Gestured at me sort of aggressively and said "you cant be doing this". I told him about restrictions and he said "I dont care i only have 4 tables'". When leaving, I saw an open table. I get it, ok, but just be nicer and don't make a scene. 2 stars because burger was ok and the views are great. Big fan of Little Gull Cafe, you can bring a really good coffee from Nice Place if there is a wait, and their burger is 5/5!!

I could see how this might be a little harder to get a seat for a bigger group if you aren't there before 6. It seemed that once a group got a big table, they camped out. The drinks were strong and creative. Friendly bartenders, good music, and yummy options for bar snacks. Also, the bathroom is a nice touch. Speaking of the bathroom, it is at the bottom of some decently narrow stairs. So, try and stay sober enough for stairs or you may fall. Go to this bar. You will have fun.

First of all, the lantern flies are everywhere so we had to dodge those all night. Not the restaurant's fault, but still needs to be mentioned. It actually took longer to get our check and close out our tab than it did to eat our meal. Overall, there are much better places to spend your time and money. The view alone isn't enough to make up for the poor service and mediocre food. I wouldn't recommend it.
