    Rocket Fuel

Bodhis beach bar/snack bar is located at Corey Beach in Blue Point. This place is fantastic for exactly what it is : A really great view on the beach with typical snack bar food. The drinks are actually above average. If you're looking for a fine dining experience on the waterfront, this really isn't it. However, if you want a relaxing place with a beautiful view serving good cocktails, and basic snack bar munchies look no further. This is our fourth summer living in this area. Honestly, this place is one of the reasons my wife and I don't take a lot summer vacations anymore. Why pay exorbitant prices to go "down the shore" or to the Hamptons or Montauk when you have this place right in your backyard? We tend to do a lot of of tropical vacations in the winter, but there is so much to do in the Patchogue, Bayport, blue point area that we tend to really look forward to our summers at home. Bohdis is great. We tend to bring some food with us, grab a couple of drinks from the bar and some food from the snack bar as well. You can spend hours at this place and not even realize the time has passed. They have live music Thursdays through Sunday all summer. No cover? Imagine that! They typically have a great mix of music ranging from classic rock to reggae. As I mentioned earlier, the snack bar is typical of what you would expect at a beach bar: burgers, dogs, wraps, chicken fingers, and french fries. All in all decent food for sure and a reasonable price. The bar offers a good selection of beer as well as some really good frozen drinks. If you're adventurous and like a drink with a bit of a kick as I do I would go with the Rocket Fuel. It's not listed on this summer's menu however it is a really potent drink containing two shots of dark rum, and some kind of piña colada/frozen rum concoction. After drinking one or two, you really won't care about how it's made! The view is also spectacular. It tends to get pretty crowded during the weekends so we tend to go during the week. However, this is also a super good place to go for happy hour all summer long. Try to fit it into your busy schedule. You definitely won't regret it and I'm pretty sure you'll be back!

Came here on a mid Saturday afternoon and the name really does pretty much give it all away. A little shack right on the beach where you can grab some cold drinks, dip your toes in the sand, and even grab a quick bite to eat if you're so inclined. I wasn't wowed by the cocktails or the food, but I would say you're coming here more for the beach atmosphere than anything else. Only outdoor seating, so make sure you check your weather ahead of time! They also have a whole bunch of beach games set up for your entertainment too. Parking can be a little bit challenging, but there is a paid lot just down the block if you're willing to walk a little.

I've been wanting to come here for the longest. It's about ans hour and a half away so it is a mission. I've wanted to come because it's a beach bar. So beach. Food. Drinks. Water. What else can you ask for in the summer. The two people at the food counter were very nice. We got a coconut shrimp and two hit dog and fries. Then ordered a beer and a watermelon margarita. The music was very musac. Maybe cause it's a weekday. Food was great. The margarita is just flavored watermelon alcohol. So if you're expecting chunks of fruit you won't get it. Very light on the alcohol. Beach was small and quaint. Has a playground for kids. Has metered parking on the street and also a parking lot. Water- eh. It's murky. It's called Corey Beach and although it's not part of the business. This is why people come here. I changed my review from4 to 5 stars because this is a review of the business. It has a lot of seaweed/kelp. Definitely icky. I've been to places that have this issue at certain times of the year and they clean it up with a special machine. Cleans the edge of that slime. I got in and felt that and immediately got out. Went to use the shower to cool off instead. Overall this place is adorable. But if you want to go into the water just be prepared. Something crawled by my foot and since the water was murky I couldn't see what it was. Since I love a good beach with water I can safely go into, I probably won't make the trip back unless I'm in the area. But if the water is cleaned then yeah. I would definitely go back.

Visiting my daughter & son in love. I need more of this in my life. A beach with a bar that's really hard to beat when not in the Caribbean.

The food was average for a beach bar. Wasn't super blown away but then again, if you're looking for a casual bite with some awesome views of the ocean it's not a bad spot! It does get crowded on weekends and especially holidays so try to take that into consideration. We ended up paying for parking as well. Overall it's a nice summer vibe.

Went for the live music and got there around 430 about a half hour before the music started. There was plenty of seating but it did fill up rather fast. The drinks where strong and the bar accepted credit cards which I didn't expect for a beach bar. The food was pretty good I had the fish and chips, but heard good things about a couple of the other items including the Ahi tuna wrap.

Such a lovely idea for a place to snack while enjoying Corey Beach. The drinks were nice - for a 50 years storm and a rocket fuel. They had a little sale for 5 jello shots for 20$ (which to me sounds like a deal but I didn't try). They also had fun little beach games around for patrons like giant connect four and corn hole. Also if you can get to the bar in time and there's space - they have fun swings to sit on! They have a kitchen area with some typical beachy diner fare - hot dogs/hamburgers/fries/shrimp/etc. Everything was great - highly recommend the fries - could literally eat a whole bucket of it - only complaint was my lobster roll - not a lot of lobster with what I paid for.

Not only that but we didn't get a waitress so she took the liberty to serve/wait on us. She deserves all the credit last night. NOW!!! - WHAT THE HECK IS UP WITH THE PRICE IF THE CAESAR SALAD AND THE COST TO ADD CHICKEN. This is where the negative stats come in. I don't care who you are but the nerve to charge that much money to add chicken to a Caesar salad salad which probably cost $1.50 to make is maddening. This is a dish that you probably make the highest return and profit on so to take one chicken small chicken breast which you're probably buying in bulk and getting for next to nothing and charge $10 for it to be cooked and cut up into a couple of pieces and thrown on top of the salad really was a turn off to me. Other than that we got a fair price on drinks and the chicken wings which were on Special. So I think we got 10 wings for 12 bucks or something. It was a good deal and they were good. Fix that salad situation. That's totally f&$ked

I had the dogfish head 60 minute IPA. Really good, very cold which is a huge plus. App was shrimp wonton tacos. Good, not great, small portion but not bad as part of a price fixe item. Crispy shell, fresh shrimp. Main was chipotle chicken wrap. Very good. Not dry with a nice blend of cheese, a little kick as well. Negatives: we asked for the wrap without pico , however it was not left off. It was quickly returned without any issues . When we received the check we were charged double. This was also quickly resolved. Overall, good place , decent food average beer selection. A good place to see a game and sample pub food. Not breaking any new ground here.

On top of that, my damn car decided to up and die, so I've been bleeding money on Ubers just to get to and from work. I even had to go into work on my day off just to sit around waiting for the tow truck so they could junk it. Love that for me. After I handled business with the junkers, I said eff it and headed to Whiskey Neat. I was starving--no breakfast, running on fumes--and since my job's in Patchogue, I figured I'd finally try them for lunch. First of all... happy hour on a Saturday from 12-6?! Uhhh hello?? In my Angelina from Jersey Shore voice. And if you pay cash, you get the discount. Say less. They've got a fabulous small plates menu. I started with the French onion soup--ooey gooey mozzarella, cheese pull was undefeated. Soup was delicious too. I haven't had French onion in ages and it really hit. Then I had the pulled pork slider, which was really good, but BABY... those short rib croquettes? To. Die. For. I also had to get my classic deviled eggs. A little heavy-handed on the paprika, but still solid. Drinks were half off, so of course I indulged. Started with an espresso martini because I needed something to jumpstart my day. Then I had a French martini because duh--I'm a French girl ‍. That one was good. Finished with my classic cosmo. Not gonna lie, I've had better, but it did what it needed to do and helped me forget my troubles for a couple hours. Also great playlist of music. I got there and they were playing Ska. Love me some Reel Big Fish and No Doubt. Mixed with some Motown and Bob Marley. Made me remember the good old days.

I've been to Main Street Patchogue a few times before and I'm always amazed at how it's now like Huntington, with tons of eateries, bars and places to hear live music. It was a busy late Spring Friday night and my cousin told me if we were there just two weeks later (ie, post Memorial Day), there would have been lines to get in anywhere. So make resos! I made one easily earlier that day and when we arrived around 7:30, it was not packed, but it is pretty loud in there even half full. Our waiter, Jonathan, expertly took such great care of us from start to finish, even taking my father's dad jokes in stride. There's a solid cocktail menu, but I had a couple glasses of a better-than-decent prosecco. My cousin loved his espresso martini. For food, count on a couple respectable vegan entrees and I went with the Japanese eggplant with cashew ricotta. The eggplant is delicious, slightly sweet with a creamy rather than chewy (thank god) texture. The cashew ricotta is also tasty, but I do think it needed to be blended a bit more to remove the slightly grainy texture (the cashews might have needed more soaking). My father loved his French onion soup and pastrami sandwich. Separate paragraph for the fries. They deserve it. I'm glad we ordered these to share- it's an enormous platter of them. I appreciated that they were salted perfectly. I appreciate restaurants that can make satisfy a variety of preferences and dietary restrictions. The vibe here is festive and vibrant and a great choice for groups and families.
