If you can get past the overbearing scent of dirty ashtrays and stale cigarette smoke, rampant political cultism and outdated furniture and presidents, this place serves a fairly decent burger. Service was spotty, we waited 10 minutes at the door before our presence was acknowledged and then we were rather unceremoniously directed to find the table at the back of the restaurant near the bar where we were joined by our former president looking particularly stiff and unbalanced. Not particular attention was paid to who was seated first as we watched two other later arriving parties orders get taken first. Just when we were about to give up, a gentleman arrived at our table and took our order. The burgers were okay but not the best on the beach as advertised. I could have missed out on the whole experience and been just fine.

Great burgers! Fresh, hot and flavorful. Very beach themed place and prepared for cold weather with a roaring fire. Its a staple in Crystal beach. Must try it out. Large parking area with stuff to do besides eat. Get your picture in the massive beach chair.

Thank you to Chris and Karen Gattlin for being open during a disaster! When the rest of the community had no power, they were there to feed us in a casual atmosphere with great food and friendly service as always.

Came to visit and saw that the reviews were low so my expectations were not high already. Took 15 mins to get any drinks, and then 45 mins to get a food ORDERED, not even out. Short staffed and extremely rude kids. I asked what was on the bbq potato and he said "idk but not chives" so I asked if he could go find out since I don't eat pork and wanted to make sure there was no bacon bits. He sighed and rolled his eyes and walked off and when he came back he said "sour cream, cheese, and chives" like oh okay so you don't even know what's in a potato. Food was disappointing and disgusting. Idk how you mess up a bbq potato like it's a potato. All my friends said their burgers, fries, and pizza tasted all like ballpark food. Just nasty plastic food. Probably the same distributor as an arcade place. Drinks were very poor as well and nothing was nice. What rlly got me what when I was reading reviews was the one with a RACCON in the building. So unsanitary too. Just don't come here, even when your on vacation

Eat here pretty often to-go. Their food is decent but the portions aren't always consistent. Their hamburgers are good but they skimp on the fries. Our last order was 5 hamburgers to-go and it was like they split one order of fries between all five burgers. Food is good but it's not consistent for the price.

Two utensil sets for our family of four. I guess we had to share because we shared our meals with our kids???

AVOID! We ate here because the wait at the other restaurants in town were an hour or more. Nothing good about this place other than the big screens playing the Astros game. The elderly lady working told us to wait for a table but others who came in said you just seat yourself. Everyone ended up waiting even though there were a bunch of empty tables. We were told they were short staffed but locals told us they are always short staffed. We waited 15 minutes for water and when the food came it was not very good. They were completely unaware of who they sat first and three groups were served before us yet seated after us. Oh well...at least we know where not to go when we come back to Crystal Beach. The locals we met said the workers get very grouchy, especially the waitress. A group of 7 teens waited patiently to be seated and the same elderly lady told them she couldn't seat them and then ignored them and moved on to another group. They were stunned and quietly left the restaurant. The young girl bussing the tables was also not allowed to get menus for us...weird. No big deal but our salt shaker was empty and our family of four was given two sets of utensils to share! We quickly ate and left! It is what it is...you live and learn!

Philly Cheesesteak with sweet potato fries! So good!

Hey good peoples! So I decided th other day to have a daycation (see what I did there? Lol), anyway I went to Crystal Beach and while I was boot scooten around I went to Tiki Bar&Grill for some lunch and to visit my buddy who tends bar there. I got the Philly Cheesesteak with sweet potato fries. It was amazing and even came with some aju sauce to dip the sandwich in. The service was amazing, my friend did a great job, of course. Only thing that bugged me was one of the waitresses was wearing a Trump hoodie. While I won't get into my personal political beliefs here; I will say that regardless of how casual the atmosphere may be in the restaurant and/or the community, wait staff are most times the 1st person one encounters when you come inside the restaurant. With that in mind, a restaurant which deals with the public ALL the time, is not the place for the staff to express or show off their political views. People come to restaurants and food trucks to enjoy the food and the atmosphere, not have the staff's political views flung in their face. Anyways, if you are ever in the area, do stop by and enjoy a good meal with a couple of drinks! You'll have a good time and hopefully the staff will do better about dressing professionally, which adds to the overall experience.

My kinda place. Laid back atmosphere. We had the crab jalapeño poppers and shrimp cocktail. Also had a margarita and a pina colada. All was excellent.

I Didn't think it was a guy bar at all. It had a cute Dancefloor, a nice expensive bar, and a wonderful bartender. We started at 5 PM and only wanted to have a quick cocktail. The bartender explained T-shirt night was if you walked in with one of the T-shirts, you would get your drink at half price. we wanted to buy one of their T-shirts but they didn't have any in stock lol. So we ordered our drinks with top shelf liquor. Hers was Grey Goose and cranberry and mine was Patron margarita. Since she was still honoring T-shirt night even though we didn't have one, she charged us half price. Where the heck can you get two awesome drinks in tall glasses for 12 bucks for both? wow!!!! The Kumquat Tot is hands down my favorite. Kumquat, gin, mint, and a few other choice ingredients make this one of the most unique and refreshing cocktails I've ever had. The self proclaimed king of Houston tiki bars and speakeasies and I visited on a Thursday night. We were able to walk in without a reservation. I'm not sure what the capacity is, but the place is small. I'm guessing they can seat about 30 people max. During peak hours, they will limit you to 60 minutes and there's a two drink minimum. When we went, it wasn't at capacity and we were able to stay for a few hours. If you make a reservation online, you have to give your credit card info. It's a $25 charge if you cancel within 24 hours. If you don't want to make a reservation, they recommend visiting on Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Sundays. Ring the doorbell for entry. If they don't answer immediately, it's most likely because the hostess is seating another guest. I can't remember the hostess's name, but she was so nice and a super cool gal. The vibe is really cool, weird, bizarre, and trippy. We received a welcome drink which was some sort of rum tea. One of the bartenders came over and explained the menu. They have a lot of drinks to choose from and each drink has a story. The drinks are very unique and come with a nice presentation. I really enjoyed the Bitter Bird. Some of our friends joined us later on in the evening and the hostess moved us to a larger table. There were more people than we were expecting, but the staff did a great job of accommodating us. We ordered a massive drink meant for 4-6 people and it was boozy. You know you're in for a treat when you visit a place that describes itself as "somewhere between death and vacation." You'll know it when you see the menu. It's a long name, sounds very Hawaiian, and you'll have difficulty pronouncing it. You'll get a kick out of it. While the drink were solid, I've seen more elaborate tiki drinks elsewhere. I'm talking the type where fire is evolved or fancy garnishes. Overall: Clear Lake surprisingly has quite a few cool bars.
