Outdoor patio by the beach! The place has 5 different bars/restaurants in one. Very cool.

The view is great! Service was amazing and they were busy! Food was so good! I had the happy hour cerviche and the hubs had the chicken quesadilla. Both were delicious! Drinks were soooo weak and found out they do half ounce pours even in a regular drink. If I'm paying $11 for a drink it better have a full shot. Just saying lol. But happy hour has beer so stick to that or do a double for a few dollars more.

Made a quick detour through Galveston on the way to the airport and came to the Rum Shack at the Spot. Very cool venue, beach views and great food. Kaely was awesome and made great drinks! I had the mahi mahi tacos, and they were sooooo good! My boyfriend had the fried fish, shrimp and chips. It was also delicious. The waffle fries are bomb! Would definitely recommend this place and will be back if we visit Houston again!

    Yum yum Rum thanks Dana

Started down stairs in the Tiki tequila bar fried calamari and tequila. We ventured up stairs to the third floor rum bar. Friendly staff and drinks. Dana made a delicious rum old fashion and we had to try the Tiki Wheat Beer. Great night to start our vaca in the AM

Shard of glass in my taco

Found a shard of sharp glass the size of a dime in my fish tacos. Our server spent 10-15 minutes on a slow Monday (07/29) trying to find the manager to remedy the situation. The only reason I am not leaving 1 star review is because the food was good, and our server was really nice and professional. My girlfriend ordered the chicken nachos and I ordered the fish tacos. After taking my first bite I noticed something very hard and sharp in my mouth, only to discover a large shard of glass. I was very lucky to have not cut anything in my mouth or to have not swallowed it. Not sure why there was even any glass in the kitchen. After serving 10 years in restaurants, I know kitchen prep should only have metal or plastic containers for that reason. Pretty careless on prep or kitchen side to have not deep cleaned or tossed any containers that could have been compromised by a glass-breaking accident. That could have been fatal if I swallowed it. I count this as a blessing, and the restaurant should too that nothing worse happened. I think back of the house staff could take this as an opportunity to properly retrain staff and probably not stock any glass in the kitchen and prep areas. To be honest, I would have wanted to go back, but this incident would shake up anyone.

    The sampler !! $17.99

This place is absolutely delicious , they also have great customer service! There's plenty of free parking! It's an ocean view restaurant and bar, there's actually 2 adult bars , and the kid friendly bar with Restaurant. It's pretty neat because once you enter it they see you with kids they guide you to the correct place. Once you enter the restaurant part of it you take a few steps, you look at the menu and make like to order after you order you find a chair and we were able to get an ocean view seat. We went on a Tuesday evening around 6pm and it was packed but not overwhelming. There's plenty of seating and a lot of staff working. They have a huge drink selection they look awesome! They also have delicious shakes for kids and adults my kids had the Nutella and Oreo shakes and you can upgrade to the kids menu for $2.99 more. We also ordered a sampler it literally had wings, onion rings , fried pickles, mozzarella sticks andbacon wrapped fried shrimp ! It was amazing ! Shrimp cocktail was also sooo good. And the sweet and spicy burger was unbelievably delicious ! Literally mouthwatering perfection it had bacon bits and fried jalapeños with cheese ! So good and huge! Overall, clean crowded place. Excellent customer service and fast as well! It does get packed as soon as we were leaving we saw a huge line just to order. Went at the right time. You can call ahead just to ask what the wait time is.

    Fish and chips.

Decent stop along the seawall boulevard. Just had a couple of rum runners and a fish fry. The fish was done perfectly. Its self serve on the family side so that sucks. Plus the drinks are limited to beer, wine, and specialty house drinks.

Frozen mojito and view of the beach

We always stop here when in Glaveston! Fantastic cocktails! All rum based and a nice selection of food you can order from the bar! The shrimp cocktail is great and big enough to share! They have live music on the weekends! It does get pretty windy since its on the second floor, but great view of the water and a fun atmosphere!

    Frozen Mojito (Passion Fruit)
    Mark N.

Decent little touristy type bar. Stopped here to grab a quick bite and a few drinks. There's nice elevated view of the beach. Cheap frozen mojito was OK, but I went back to my standard (Tito's rocks) after the first one. I still rate this place as inexpensive for a bar because I think my vodka was only $8. Food is typical bar food, but the wings for happy hour are a deal. Service was good, nothing to complain about.

    Melon punch

Great outdoor bar with friendly service. The drinks are pretty big and they pack a punch! Plenty of bartenders so you don't wait long for drinks and the price is reasonable. Will definitely be back next time I come to galveston.

We were seated right away, but I saw another group of 3 wait so long to be seated that they left. The ambiance is fantastic and the servers were friendly, although not attentive. The food was so good and the margaritas went down smoothly! But we sat with empty drinks a lot and slow service. Thankfully, we (my boyfriend and I ) enjoy each other's company immensely. If we didn't, it would have been a frustrating experience. Will I go back? Of course. Will I recommend it to others? Yes, but don't be in a hurry. You're on island time.

The other side is a bar. The restaurant has nice atmosphere with cool Mexican theme decor. They actually use the empty Tequila Azul bottles and use as table lamps. Servers are friendly but a bit slow in service. Good prices are very reasonable and the food is good. Fish was a bit overdone and needed a little seasoning. Also you have to watch the fish bones when eating. They have a great variety of drinks served in cool Mexican pottery cups. Definitely will return and recommend you check them out.

Fish Company Taco proved to be like finding water in the desert. A lot of Galveston eateries are very similar, in that there's an ample amount of fried seafood on the menu, which is not exactly what you're looking for when you're in the bloated, but wanting to eat *something* state that we were in. My thought was: fish tacos are relatively light and we can walk there from our hotel - how do you beat that? What I didn't realize is that this place probably belongs more in the Heights than Galveston. And I mean that in a good way. The menu is very hipster-coded. And the food matches with hipster quality. It's hard to say what my favorite item even was. The one thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the fish dip - it was just okay. Everything else ranged from good to great. We tried... The burger: FYI, it's more like a double stacked slider than a burger, but delicious. 3 Tacos: Dirty South, Empire and Korean Flavors. I really liked the empire and the korean flavors, but thought the dirty south had a little too much going on with the pimento cheese and chips. Sticky Shrimp: I don't even know how to describe this, but it was delicious. I thought it as more like bang bang shrimp, but it was more fried that I expected. But not hardcore fried - they almost had the airy texture of fried pork skins, but were much tastier. Chili marinated Cucumbers and corn ribs: Simple, refreshing and addicting. But I liked the cucumbers a bit more. They also had some fresh juices and we enjoyed both the mango and the coconut lime concoctions. An easy 5-stars for me and a place I will definitely recommend to anyone visiting Galveston.

The Vietnamese taco stood out the most for me, while the Baja and Korean flavors were just okay, not really my favorites. Overall, it's a chill spot with a relaxed vibe and not too crowded. I'd recommend coming during happy hour to get the best experience.

We thought we'd grab it to go, but once he took out of the bag, end up eating a lobster roll and ceviche right there at the colored picnic tables The employees are friendly and kind appreciated them explaining the menu and recommending some different dishes Not cheap with the lobster rolls, but definitely worth it and would highly recommend and look forward to coming back It is a clean area. Parking is limited, but worth any sort of inconvenience. The Latin music playing in the color, brick tables and the bright colors of the food truck and to a fun ambience. I did come here in March over spring break so it was nice weather. I can imagine that this is the summertime. This could be difficult to be waiting for in the hot heat of Texas.
