My daughter and I visited Tiki Master a few weeks ago in search of a paddle and a tree root bowl. The show room is massive - a veritable Aladdins cave of beautiful wooden carvings, paddle, Hawaiian and Pacific artifacts and much much more. Jerome knows his inventory like the back of his hand and was exceptionally helpful in finding just the right bowl as there were choices placed all over the huge warehouse. He was the perfect balance of attentive and helpful when we needed guidance as well as just allowing us to wander aimlessly round the aisles taking it all in! Jerome also offers an incredible deal to ship items back to the mainland and our purchases (including a very heavy wooden root bowl) arrived in perfect condition at our home in California 3 days after we bought it in Kailua!! On top of all this, Jerome gifted my daughter (who is a rugby player at St Andrews University, and was wearing her rugby shirt) a carved tiki statue of a figure holding a rugby ball!! These guys have beautiful tiki carvings, decorations and signs, and seem to be a really well-run business. I visited their factory and warehouse in Kailua, but you don't have to-- their entire collection is online and the website is generally well organized. In fact, I used the website while in the warehouse to track down what I wanted. I came out to buy an 8" tiki mask ($10 on the website) but ended up also getting a 40" tiki for my home. I ordered a hand carved tiki from the store, which arrived in a timely manner and was a very nice piece. My only complaint, was that I thought the tiki was hand carved in Hawaii. When I looked on the bottom, it had a tag that said "made in Indonesia". Although the carving is very nice, I was under the impression that it would be from Hawaii. read more
