Staff was amazing. Food had amazing flavor but it was just too spicy for me. My coworker was obsessed with the lamb!!

Amazing food. The Bollywood Tacos were delicious and filling. The combination of Indian spicy chicken, rice in a flat bread taco is ingenious. Great taste and texture. The Desidilla was also amazing. It was not greasy like traditional quesadillas. It was fresh and delicious. I'd definitely crave this and come again.

My second time here & it was another hit. I really enjoyed my Szechuan Chicken. It was spicy but so good & flavorful. The egg rolls & samosas were good & came out very hot. My father in law & husband liked their chicken burritos. We honestly had a great low key Lunch. It was around 1:30/2pm on a Wednesday. Very chill atmosphere & service.

After reading some great reviews, we stopped by for an early lunch. We arrived a little before 11 am, but an employee didn't arrive until a few minutes after 11 to open up the restaurant. It's the old New Wave burritos location, located on Preston Highway with a few parking spaces out front. It's a smaller restaurant with booths, tables, and bar. There is a QR code on the tables for the menu but the server also brought menus. It's a Mexican and Indian fusion restaurant with also an Asian flair with dumplings and egg rolls. We ordered from the Indian side and started with the veggie samosas ($5.99) and then the Bollywood chicken tacos ($13.99). Only two samosas in the order - they were okay. The Bollywood tacos came in an order of two with no sides. Served in flatbread with chicken, lots of rice and a small slice of avocado. Glad we tried it out but probably won't be back.

We stopped by for a quick meal while visiting with family. The restaurant was clean, service was quick, and staff was very welcoming. They took time explaining different dishes since this restaurant is a fusion between Indian and Mexican. The food was very flavorful and their prices were decent. We will visit again next time we are in town

Tikkas Tacos is a hidden gem in Louisville, it definitely surprised us! We stopped in while visiting family post-Thanksgiving. Service was good, food came out quick and hot. The fusion tacos are a standout--and I was blown away by their cheesesteaks! Who would've thought an Indian-Mexican fusion place could make a cheesesteak this good? lol. My parents were loving it. They got chicken and steak cheesesteaks and noted they were both very flavorful and juicy. My partner got the Bollywood tacos, and it was such a unique balanced taste with the garlic roti combined with Mexican fillings. Quite flavorful. I also tried their butter chicken and naan, which were solid, but the fusion dishes really stole the show. The vibe is divey and sports-bar-like, making it a casual and fun spot to hang out. If you're in the area, Tikkas Tacos is absolutely worth a visit!

Had a fantastic lunch today at Tikka Tacos. Found this gem on Yelp. Had the lamb burrito and the samosas. Both were extremely tasty. The lamb was so tender and juicy. The burrito construction was perfect. Great ratios and rolled tightly. The samosas were filled to the bring. Tasty filling with crispy dough. Loved the sauce. Service was fantastic. Very attentive and food was prepared quickly. Gave me extra sauce to go with my to-go box. Place was extremely clean and close parking. Will be back!

Ordered from Tikka Tacos via Uber eats. The samosas were delicious! However, the sagg panner lacked the savory flavor... it tasted like to much butter was added ( and salt.) The naan was good... they only gave one small piece per order.

Walking into the establishment, I can understand why very few people come here. It was not an inviting staff at all when we were seated we took our order. All the drinks came canned when we asked what was on the fountain. They told us all of them we all ordered, and yet all our stuff came in cans. We ordered a steak quesadilla, which had very little steak in it, and it was so tiny. The gyoza is a really good had good flavor, but they just weren't crispy like you're supposed to have a pan fried. The egg rolls were good, but there's hardly any filling loaded nachos were a disaster. A high school concession stand nacho has more toppings, flavor, and better presentation. We definitely will not be coming back here.

Tikka Tacos lives in what used to be New Wave Burritos (R.I.P.). Since we live in J-Town and it's a helluva drive, we decided to make that helluva drive to Tikka Tacos to check it out. It's been a number of years since we'd visited New Wave Burritos, but from what I recall it appears the colorful paint on the walls is still the same. Or maybe still as colorful, but re-painted in the same festive color scheme. Doesn't much matter, because the bright, vibrant colors add fun and character. I think I saw it was considered Indo-Mexican Fusion food, and while I never saw a mashup like that coming, I'm glad someone did. We were seated immediately and our server (whom I'm SURE I've seen somewhere before) came to give our menus and take our drink orders. The menu has patently Mexican items, patently indian items, and what I'm going to call Mashup Items. I immediately focused on the Bollywood Tacos. Consisting of chicken tikka and avocado filling Indian paratha flatbread with taco toppings added, I never knew such a thing was possible. Our server (whom I freakin' KNOW I've met/seen somewhere before, dammit) brought our food in less than 10 minutes. And. It. Was. Glorious. Oh, MAN, it was such an unbelievable taste experience. You can taste how good it is by the picture I'm posting. Imagine that. It's even BETTER! For a Friday it wasn't too busy (and that's OK), but the restaurant was very clean and table were taken care of as soon as customers left. For the bar they have a number of beers on tap, in bottles, and some select liquors for your mixing pleasure. The drive to Tikka Tacos is pretty significant from J-Town, but one I'm willing to make. I'm serious. This is a food mashup that everyone needs to try.

What an incredible fusion of Indian and Mexican food! It's not much to look at from the outside, but the food will make the stop worth it.

I am a food snob. Food was delicious. Can't wait to go again. Lamb was flavorful and tender. Sauces on point. Indian tacos, all day.

It took a while for someone to acknowledge us when the place was a ghost town. While waiting and looking around it didn't seem very swept and dusted and there was garbage on the floors. The atmosphere is so different and chaotic but cool. The music was VERY VERY LOUD and playing explicit rap music so that was odd for an early family dinner night with my 7 year old. Was slightly awkward waiting for dinner. Service was really bad when we were one of 3 tables and all together against the windows. They had a massive building let alone room and they put us all together. There was no kids menu for the kids to draw or look at. We didn't get drink refills the whole time we were eating and our waitress checked on us after we were done eating since our food was brought to us. No refills on chips and salsa or the sour cream I had requested and wanted with my food.. she was friendly but absent. The owner I believe is who the blonde woman was working the food coming out and giving it to waitresses. She was shaking her head the whole time and walking around and did not seem friendly / greet anyone. We ordered tacos. My bf ordered Al pastor tacos and he was surprised because they were hard shell and not soft corn tortillas. My daughter was being picky and refused to order food so I said she could share with me. Well per usual, she loved my food and we wished we had more! Presentation would have Gordon Ramsey fall over but the flavor omg it's there!!! Hopefully a off day when we went. I honestly would go again because the food was so good.

We were all excited about being there for dinner and we had 5 new residents come that had never eaten with our group before. In fact plenty came early to take advantage of your Happy Hour Specials. Thank you for having the tables lined up so nicely. We had our friends scattered all over the place. They were chatting with their friends, some were at the bar ordering their drinks and some had ordered appetizers and some like me were trying to figure out what I wanted to eat. My husband ordered the Tropical Quesadilla that he really loved. It had Chicken, Ham, Pineapple, and American Cheese. I chose the Quesadilla Fajita, but I only had the Chicken and Queso put on it. It would have had peppers and onions and other items I can't eat. So I left them off. I think next time I'll try tacos with chicken on them. We really enjoyed the staff. Eder took the orders from the window and Mary was the bar tender. Juana delivered our food. She almost knew what everyone had ordered and made it very easy to get our orders. The soft drinks were in a self service machine and were right next to the sweetened ice tea and unsweet tea. My unsweetened tea was delicious!! Everyone sitting around me really enjoyed their food and the portions were large. Many were saying they were coming back again. Eder, Mary and Juana did an awesome job. Thank you, Robyn
