I am writing an updated review for a review I left this week. The manager after seeing my review…read morehas communicated very well with me to address my issues with items I purchased. Apparently, the items were by mistake sent out without being checked over for defects. The company acknowledged this and credited me for their mistake. They did advise to always get pictures emailed before ordering from a salvage yard which will be very helpful to anyone who orders. Since I couldn't remove the rating from before , I wanted to give credit to the staff who graciously helped resolve the issues with our order. Thank you Chucks for following up and understanding our needs.

Visited today (12/27/20)! Not impressed with lackluster service and borderline dismissive attitude…read moreof clerks and other Autozone gentleman who appeared to be a manager. Tsk tsk tsk! I was not advised concerning use of the code scanner which was dropped into my hand almost rudely as the clerk gave me no instruction other than "Plug it in." I know the staff is not allowed to enter customer vehicles as per Covid-19 dictates, but those dictates do not mandate poor, irresponsible customer service nor do the current restrictions call for abandonment and disregard of patrons. The BRIGHT SPOT of my visit , and recipient of many KUDOS, is HERO 'Officer Zannie,' the security officer who lent me the light from his flashlight and google-searched to find the location in my ILX of the scanner input port. From his front door post, he described the location of the input port, and I was able to end 20 minutes of unsuccessfully searching for the port, a search during which I received not one bit of help from the members of the Auto Zone staff. On the contrary, one Autozone clerk had the nerve to walk to the store's front door and ask indignantly and aloud, "She didn't get the code YET??!" How rude, unprofessional, and irresponsible! Nonetheless, thanks to the courteous, professional, responsible 'ZANNIE," I completed an unfamiliar and difficult task. Good thing he actually cared, seeing me stretched upside down across my front seat, my head stuck under my dash and my mind in utter dismay! He came to my rescue for customer safety purposes and to help an abandoned damsel in distress! It is that type of qualitative and caring service that will help businesses maintain patronage during these times of economic downturn and crisis! Thank you, Officer and Gentleman Zannie! I hope AutoZone gives you due commendation and reward! I hope this store starts to value and appreciate customers! If not, more of us will be patronizing Salvo and other such auto parts businesses just as I plan to do the next time I need auto parts! Needless to say, when the negligent Autozone clerk pulled up the part that I needed to buy as per the code which showed on the scanner, I passed on buying and politely informed him that I would not be purchasing the part at that time. I should've added: "...nor in this store at any time".

Since I was not from the area, I was not sure where to take my car to have it diagnosed and fixed. I was very concerned that I might be overcharged or that my car would not be fixed properly. Thankfully, Autohaus was recommended to me and I am very grateful that I followed through with that recommendation. Not only did they take in my car the next day, but it was fixed and returned to me in two days. I priced the work with other shops in the area and I was pleasantly surprised to discover that what Autohaus charged me was very reasonable in comparison. The guys at the shop took the time to explain to me what was wrong and how they planned to fix it. I really appreciated how I was treated. The shop is not fancy, but the guys know their stuff. They specialize in European and Asian cars. My car was fixed and I was able to make the six-hour drive home without any problems. I have not had any issues since the repair. Note that they do not take credit cards - only debit cards or cash. I highly recommend them.

Was having fuel pump and other issues with my 2018 VW SUV. Decided to go to this auto repair shop…read moreto see if they could fix it. Spoke to Brian (owner) and Rich (mechanic) and they ensured me (with 30 mins of talking) that they use the latest technology that VW dealers use to diagnose and fix vehicles and I decided that they would be the shop for me to fix my car. The next day, on the way to Mt Washington Autohaus, my truck broke down in middle of street and i had to have it towed there to the shop. Waited 2 hrs for tow truck and got it there. Rich the mechanic and I helped get the truck off tow truck along with the tow truck driver and into their very small vehicle bay. Signed paperwork and left vehicle with Rich. About 1/2 hr later, owner, Brian, called my phone yelling and screaming at me to get my truck out of his shop because it doesn't run and they aren't able to fix it because it won't move. He threatened to get my truck out of his shop Right NOW or he would get it towed away somewhere. I was then informed that the software they use to diagnose cars does not go past the year 2016. This is after Brian told me he uses a $10K OBD2 scanner and he could fix anything. I ended up wasting my free tow from my insurance company and having to quickly call another tow truck to remove my vehicle from Mt Washington Autohaus, which costed me almost $200 after i was told to bring the truck there. I would not recommend that ANYONE go to this auto shop due to the very rude nature of the 70+ year old Men that run it and make nothing but excuses and are unapologetic in the way they handle business with customers. They also have a terrible insect infestation in the front desk area of the shop but dont seem to mind it along with a waiting room/ front desk area that looks like it has not been upgraded since the 1970s. I would not recommend for anyone to use this shop and look for other alternatives. Brian and Rich's deception of my trust in them to repair my vehicle has cost me a lot of extra money and time and they do not seem to care and offered no other solutions to me after they misinformed me about their abilities to repair vehicles. I have never been thru anything like this in my life and hope no one else puts themselves in a position to do so either. 0 of 5 STARS!!!
