Don't even know where to start. Went to floor and decor in Avon, first mistake, and picked out some good looking tile for my foyer, mudroom,and kitchen area. Tile got delivered and sat in my garage until my Installer arrived to facilitate the installation. After his guys started opening the boxes of tile no lie 30% were broken or deemed not appropriate to install. Contacted floor and decor and informed them of the situation. It was determined per my installer that of the 420 sqft I ordered 120sqft was unusable more tiles were ordered with the same item number were ordered and delivered. The tiles delivered were the "same" tiles but not the same "lot" of tile .... research it it's a big deal per my installer. Mind you now we are in week 3 of my post tile delivery nightmare. I was informed that it would take another week to get another complete order of my tile. After hearing that I canceled my order this is now holding up my contractor's plumber, cabinet guy, electrction etc you get the deal. Went into tile world and met Eddie "winning" informed him of my current situation and he was more than happy to help. I was able to purchase similar looking tile that would arrive in 3 days after placing the order. Couldn't be happier with the service at tile world all of the stock came intact with no issues. We were in the midst of our kitchen renovation. It was time to choose the tile backsplash. We started out at two larger stores in Avon (Floor & Decor and The Tile Shop) and the experience at both places was such a difficult, dissatisfying process. There were many trips back and forth buying, then bringing back the samples that just weren't working with the colors in my kitchen- we felt like we were getting nowhere-we were so frustrated and stressed out from this! Then one night, while driving down Rt 18 in Weymouth, we spotted the very wonderful Tile World Design Center, so we went in to check it out. Although it was near closing time, Eddie was so friendly and extremely helpful and acted like he had all the time in the world. He looked at the colors of our kitchen we brought with us and actively listened to the vision we had for the backsplash. Next thing we knew, we had two samples in our arms (that we did not have to pay for!) and one of them seemed it was going to work- at last!! We also had to choose a grout color-Eddie was spot on with assisting us as well on that aspect. This was one fantastic experience- we are so happy with what we chose- it is just perfect! It's always a challenge trying to pick out the "right" tile and envisioning it in your home. There is so much choose from. Where to begin? What colors work best? Are the tiles too big? This past summer we did a full kitchen add on and a master with master bath. Working with Tile World was a dream! We renovated our bathroom using Tile World and their installation department. Eddie was super helpful (and patient) in helping me pick out the new floor and wall tile, even allowing me to take samples home to try out.
