While my vehicle was in for basic fluid changes, I requested to troubleshoot a check engine light on. Long story short I stopped by Orielly's auto parts for a check engine light scan as the shop requested, and the code P0430 came up. They had the vehicle a month, never picked up calls in the shop, worst customer service ever. When I finally got the vehicle back, they had changed the PCM module which is a very expensive part, and did not fix the problem. I went to Wal-Mart bought a $20 scanner and checked it myself. The scanner said 95% probability bank two catalytic converter needed to be replaced code P0430. This code showed up on the first scan they did, and Tillamook Ford recommended to change the Catalytic converter but went in a totally different direction. Spoke to Roger Weaks, manager, he said you should do it yourself. Totally rude and incompetent staff. I took my vehicle to TJs Auto in Astoria, they did not understand why they did not follow their own initial diagnosis. They did the correct repair and replaced the Cat. I am 64yo and never had a worse experience at an auto shop than this, not sure how they stay in business, dishonest, rude and totally incompetent. read more

A tale of two Ford Dealerships. I purchased my Explorer through the Costco program at Dane Gouge Astoria Ford in 2019. Brand new there was an issue with the fuel gauge. Each time I took it in I was given the excuse that I was probably parking it on a hill and that was why the gauge didn't work. I took it in once and they kept it for a few hours and said they needed a specialist. As a physician I have little time. I did get them to admit they needed to keep it for a time to investigate and get parts I made the appointment. Of course I got called into the ER before I could get it there. This was to drop it off. I was told that if it was later than 15 minutes they wouldn't take it. The staff was rude and even got Mr. Gouge to threaten my wife. I know that this was because after doing research I found that this was going to be at least a five hour job and was under warranty. The tank had to be dropped and the sending unit checked. Frustrated I took it to Tillamook Motors/Ford. Total difference. The techs, the receptionist and the dealers were friendly and knew the problem. The arranged for me to drop off the vehicle and rent a car. They discovered the Fuel Gauge Sending Unit in the tank was defective and replaced it. I didn't get charged for the service because as I said it was under warranty. And as I said it was a 5 hour job. So Kudos to Patrick, Roger, Tracy and the rest of the staff at Tillamook Ford. In the community Gouge Astoria Ford has quite the poor reputation and now I know why. I saw one other review that stated that the owner's name says it all. read more

Job was not completed when it was supposed to be, and no one called to tell me. Made the mistake of complaining and it got real personal real quick. Shop is dirty and so are the personnel. Would never use them again. read more

I had been having issues with my Ford F250, Super Duty Diesel starting. I contacted parts to buy a new Starter Relay Switch. I was a little over confident thinking I could put the new one. Eric in the Service Department took me right in and in a few minutes, I was out the door. Hopefully that fixes the issue, if not, I will schedule an appointment to scope it out. While this is definitely a small town auto body shop for a big brand, everyone was very nice. They were flexible with finding a time that suited me. And they were done at a reasonable time. I had a wonderful experience with Tillamook Motors. Just don't expect anything fancy when you go in, you'll step back in time to the 1970s vibe. read more

The truck runs like it's new! They check everything on the truck to make sure everything is in good shape and let you know condition of parts in and on the vehicle. They waste no time getting to work on the vehicle! I finally had my rotors done. Had the brakes done somewhere else. And ended up having a problem with the calipers! I called said I had a problem and they got me in immediately! They have a waiting room, and everyone on the staff are genuinely nice! Helpful ! 5 Star Experience! Honestly the best service department I've experienced. My f150 was acting up and I needed to get home. They took a genuine personal interest and got me in almost immediately, even though they were extremely busy. They had the parts and had me back on the road within a couple of hours. I bought a used car from Tillamook Ford. I saw the car on the internet and it was 400 miles away from where I lived. Lane, the internet sales rep, gave me a complete description of the car and it sounded like exactly what I was looking for. I agreed to buy the car provided it matched his description. While trying to find time in my schedule to go look at the car, Lane informed me that the Sales Manager was coming through my town and could deliver the car. I was skeptical but after assuring me I was not obligated to buy, I agreed. Jeff, the Sales Manager, showed up a few days later with the car. It was exactly as described so I agreed to buy it. They handled all the DMV paperwork which was substantial as I live in California and also arranged the loan at a very competitive rate. The whole process was flawless and the most pleasant car buying experience I had ever had. A few weeks later while washing the car, I discovered that a piece of molding was missing off the roof. Even though I had purchased the car "as is" they quickly agreed to pay for the part. In short, I can't say enough good about this dealership. read more
