My wife and I spent the night in Tillamook and were 6 miles south of town on 101 when the trailer tire monitor started beeping due to loss of pressure. Turned around and went to Schwab. Guy said it would be about 45 minutes. 20 minutes later Ulysses diagnosed the problem as a defective valve, replaced it with a metal one, checked the pressure on the other 3 tires and said "no charge." Evidently Schwab does not charge for fixing flat tire. Left a generous tip for Ulysses and was on our way. If I did not live in Virginia would definitely be a customer. Thanks guys! Jim read more

Came in because my tire pressure warning went off and had a leak fixed recently but I wasn't sure if the tires were actually low. Henderson checked the pressure of all the tires which turned out to all be good except for the spare which he even filled up for me and didn't even charge for anything. Amazing service. read more

I got a flat tire and didn't realize it until I was on my way home. I called Les Schwab and they quickly got a truck out to my house to fill up the tire and then followed us back to their business. They figured out it was just a screw and quickly patched it and filled all my tires to the appropriate levels, then sent us on our way free of charge. I went to the Les Schwab tire shop in Tillamook today to get a puncture in my tire fixed. After they promptly repaired the tire I asked how much and they said that there was no charge. Turns out Les Schwab does not charge to fix flat tires, who knew? Obviously not me. In exchange for the free tire fix I assumed I would get a high pressure sales pitch for new tires but that never happened. I will certainly be going back there when I need new tires. read more

Have had brakes done here in the past--wasn't real thrilled about it. Have had tires installed here in the past (purchased elsewhere). Today I needed to get my tires rotated prior to my annual trip to Ashland, then the beach, etc., etc. (I will be putting over 1,000 miles on my car in the next 10 days). As previously stated, I bought the tires elsewhere (Tire Rack for those that care) and had them installed by the local Les Schwab. I was interested to see whether they would rotate my tires for free or not given that I didn't purchase them from Les Schwab, but did have them installed there. I called and spoke with Kyle a little after noon and they said I didn't need an appointment and could just bring the car in this afternoon. I dropped it off at about 12:30pm and before 2pm I had my car back at my office, tires rotated without a penny out-of-pocket. That's pretty good stuff, in my opinion. I was wavering between 3 stars and 4 stars, but the speed, the service and not having to pay anything to have my tires rotated bumped it up to 4 stars. read more

Brent, I am putting you in for a pay raise and another weeks vacation. While visiting in Tillamook, Oregon the drivers side rear axle oil seal decided to let go and spread oil all over the disc brake and tire of my Ram 2500. I went to one shop in Tillamook (24/7 Automotive) and could not get a quote for the seal replacement from the owner/mechanic. Indeed he was upset that I continued to call requesting cost information. ("I won't know until I take it apart and see what is involved". Alex, by then I am at your mercy and you could charge me anything, a blank check. Sorry, I don't do business that way.) Went over to Les Schwab and spoke with Brent. He shared the seal replacement is this amount, if the brakes require replacement it is this amount, other options are X, Y and Z. The course of action was all my decision and I could clearly see what each would cost....AND it came with a three year, 25,000 mile warranty! In conversation I determined they were extremely familiar and skilled at oil seal replacement and had the parts in stock. I made an appointment for the following morning and it took a half hour less than the three hours quoted to accomplish the job. Indeed, during the work Brent found me in the waiting room and shared the brakes were already in such good condition he recommended another course of action that saved me almost $100. Open and earnest, Brent shared he treats all customers as if they were family needing automotive work done...and by the way he treated me I believe him! ....as an aside...while waiting I went for a walk to stretch my legs and observed a van in the lot getting a battery change. The young (mid 20's) employee working on the van removed the old battery and ran...yes ran about 40 yards with it to get the replacement. As I looked around, ALL the employees were moving at a brisk pace to accomplish their duties. As a retired Marine Corps officer, I was most impressed. This is a well run, customer oriented operation and I am both grateful and ready to recommend it without reservation. read more

While driving our 45' motorhome recently along the coast we found we needed air in our tires. I have used this service for our cars near home but never our motorhome. We saw several Les Schwab stores on our travels but most we could not get into. This one has good access. When I asked the charge I was told not only there was no charge but he was not allowed to take a tip. I was already to give him a nice tip. It is not easy checking and filling air in 8 truck sized tires. Not to mention he dropped what he was working on to take care of my needs so I was out of there in much less time than I had imagined. There is no question in my mind that I will be a customer of Les Schwab for tires as long as I live near their stores. If not near Tilamook and need air in RV. Call closest store and they can advise if access is OK and if not they can tell you where there is a store you can get into. They have stores all over north west and northern CA. read more

We were passing through Tillamook and shortly after leaving the cheese plant my tire pressure sensors said I was loosing pressure on my inside rear tire on my motor home. This happened about 10 miles north of town. After I pulled over and inspected the tire I found a large screw sticking out of the tire. I called around and found this Les Schwab store. I talked to them on the phone and they told me to come on in and they would fix it right now. When I showed up they had me park the motor home in the back where they work in their big rigs. The took the rear tires off (because it was the inside rear), patched it and had me in the road in about 2 hours. Great job, friendly people. I recommend them. read more

If you have all the time in the world go ahead and make an appointment with these guys. It's a bummer because I really like Les Schwab but this store lacks in customer service and efficiency. The guy working on our shocks said he was having troubles getting motivated. I heard him state half an hour earlier tell his co-worker that he didn't care if the person was waiting for their shocks to be done (mind you i had my 4 year old with me because my husband had to pick up our oldest son). On Memorial Day weekend, we took a trip down to the coast from Portland, and my front bumper got stuck on a rock at the beach and ripped off when I went in reverse. Fortunately Les Schwab was open, and they were some of the kindest car service professionals I have ever encountered. I was not expecting much, as I have always known Les Schwab as solely a tire company, but they went above and beyond to help these two Portlanders get back on the road safely. Not only were they able to reattach the bumper and bolt it down within an hour, but they did it completely free of charge. I tried to pay for the services, but they wouldn't let me- I am beyond grateful for their help, kindness, and professionalism. Kylee, since when do you need to watch a professional do their job, when you're getting your teeth drilled and filled, how do you watch the dentist's every move, and I don't feel any particular way I'm just stating the facts, two of your employees went as far as swearing to god that the tires were rotated, what the heck does god have to do with tires, and when I took it to Ford, I simply asked 3 technicians if the tires on my ford had been rotated and all three stated, no sir, and one of them said just pull it in right here and have a seat in our waiting room, we'll get err done for ya and you don't have to hold our hand or watch us, Nuff Said I won't speak of any other Les Schwab, but the one in Tillamook OR is terrible read more

Their saying is "our business is to earn your trust" but after being told it would take 45minutes and coming back an hour later to be told it'll be another 45 minutes is a joke. I had a huge problem today. I have a trailer that needs to be fixed and I had no way to get it to Les Schwab. I would of had to drive from Portland to Garibaldi and back to Tillamook and then back to Portland to get the trailer to Les Schwab. Pat volunteered to pick up the trailer for me on his way to work and take it to Les Schwab for me. Pat saved me probably 5 hours of my time to help me out. On top of that he told me how to take care of my boat trailer so I don't have the same problem next time. I was going to spend $5700 on a new trailer. Thank you Pat!!! read more
