Stopped by to grab some lunch. Food portions were large, included some gluten free options. Our waitress was very nice and checked in on us regularly. Minus one star because We were forced to sit outside. We had a service animal who is in training for autism assistance and I think the hostess were scared of seeing a big German shepherd also a puppy so pushed us to sit outside and actually wanted us to sit in the sun but we just sat outside in the shade. Busy Sunday Brunch Time but we were immediately seated. Molly our awesome server came and took our order. The food here is so delicious. So many awesome choices. It is also a very friendly place with many flat screen TVs so if you like sports you'll be able to watch your game. It has a LARGE BAR Seating area, many booths and lots of 4 toppers. Molly got our first round of beverages to our table pronto and served with a generous smile. When our food order was served the portions were both huge and utterly delicious. Again Molly was checking up on us to make sure everything was OK and that we were enjoying ourselves. On a scale of 1 to 10 the service that Molly delivered was a 100!!!! Had a really good experience at North Side Tavern! The food was tasty, the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the staff were friendly. It's a great spot to grab a meal or drinks and hang out with friends. This absolutely was one of our favorite restaurants so all visiting the Denver area. Fried pickles, clam chowder, wings, and fries all gluten-free and absolutely delicious. Avoid at all costs! Sadly, I love to give local spots love, but this place is not it! Today, while there with our family our server not thinking we could hear, said to get your kid kid on a string. Both our kids had literally been sitting at the table the whole time and my son got upto use the restroom. Not sure if he had them mistaken us for someone else, but when we asked if we heard him correctly he laughed in our faces and said yes (clearly still drink or hung over). We found North Side Tavern purely by chance when we were looking for a relaxing late lunch in Broomfield. We enjoyed our lunch so much we returned the very next day for a second lunch! First lunch, my wife went with the Chicken Tender plate subbing fries for a green salad. The tenders were just that..juicy and tender, fried to a nice golden crispy perfect. I settled on the Piggy Back Press which is their version of a cubano. Pulled pork, ham, and bacon all pressed and toasted in a nice baguette and I chose to have it with their sweet potato fries. Some of the best Sweet Potato fries I've had in a long time, the exterior was nice and crispy without being burnt, the inside was perfectly done and they stayed crispy through the entire meal, Next day we decided to return, this my wife being a cheese lover went with Colorado Cast Iron Cheese Dip adding in carnitas. Served with a basket of fresh tortilla chips, she thoroughly enjoyed her order. I went with the Tavern Burger w/sweet potato fries (they were that good) which was a Tuesday special. Burger was done well with a nice crust. I added some of the melted cheese from my wife's cheese dip and OMG that is a super combo. Overall great prices, generous portions, fast and friendly service makes this a must visit. I'd like to return at dinner to start working through their craft beer menu! read more

I've been here several times for dinner as it's close-by, it's a good spot to take guests with friendly service. We sat at the bar this time. Parking - there is a lot but it fills up when they're busy. Theres also some side street parking right outside. Food - Tavern burger - a bit underwhelming, the patty was pretty dry. Would skip this next time. Overall rating 3/5. Black & bleu burger - also pretty dry but was tasty with the bleu cheese. I'm 50/50 on whether I would get this again. Overall rating 3.5/5. My partner and I visited here on a Sunday evening for the first time. It's a typical pub inside, a bit dark with tvs and nicely decorated. We were seated immediately by a friendly hostess. Our server approached almost right after sitting for our drink order. We each tried the tavern burger, one gluten free. I ordered medium but it was closer to well done. Not a big deal with a burger. The buns were pretty decent and soft. The fries were pretty good, meaty and crispy. The ketchup on the table was close to empty and we had to shake it a lot and it splattered all over the place as we tried to get the last bit out of it, which just happened to be just enough. We eat at Northside Tavern several times a year. It's a pleasant tavern atmosphere that has a couple of higher-end menu offerings along with good pub food. Friendly, efficient staff and a good customer base. The previous owner retired and sold Northside some time ago but the great servers remain as do many of the menu items. Their daily specials are good as is the selection of beer. read more

I have been a loyal fan of NST since opening. Fantastic atmosphere. Good staff. Brunch drinks. All spot on. I hate to submit this but the prime rib tonight was subpar. We ordered three, mid rare, medium and mid well. They were all the same unfortunately. Server even stated that my "MR" was the best they could do. Probably best to not offer a prime rib of meats aren't close to accurate. Just keep the prime rib in the stroganoff, then temps don't matter. Caesar salad was also wilted lettuce. Good food, great prices. The steak was yummy and really hit the spot with unexpected out of town guests. The menu is expansive and they readily accommodated special requests (gluten free). Everyone was happy with their meal. The server was friendly. Food was out promptly. The ambience is good overall - not the most trendy or upscale place but fine for our needs. While food was out quickly, Service was slow at the end and we waited quite a while for our check - I think the server may have gone on break and did t pass our table for coverage. The steaks were well seasoned but my medium rare was overcooked to well, and my hubby's medium well steak was pretty raw. It was an easy trade except for sides and toppings, so it was a bit of messy steak juggling to get our order right. But overall, it was pretty good meal. read more

We popped over here for lunch and we're so happy we did! This place is exactly like its name, it's a Tavern with a really nice covered patio and a great ambiance. Everyday there is drink specials and happy hour. However, I will say the reason we gave this place only 4 stars was because of the drinks....they were Dive bar quality if you know what I mean. If they had an area to improve on this would be it. The food was EXCEPTIONAL. I had the Tavern burger and I think it may have been one of the juiciest burgers I've ever had. I had sweet potato fries as my side which also were fantastic. My other half ordered the French dip and had the daily veg as his side and the green beans were insane. He very much enjoyed his food as well. It was my birthday when we stopped in so we shared the Churro sundae and we can now die happy. I would travel the 50 minutes just to have that Sundae, it was that good. Overall if I could rate this place a 4.5 I would. Food was good for Brunch, Service was attrociously slow considering there were only 2 tables on the outdoor patio at the time. The outdoor patio is great, lots of shade for those of us who are really fair skinned and can't be in the sun for an hour or two on end. I understand every restaurant might not have the economics to have bottomless mimosas, but if you're charging us 12.99 for each bottle, you'd think they'd want them free flowing so they're making the most of the experience on the back end. We were left sort of disappointed from the lack of attention / service. At one point our server told us, sorry the bartender was having a conversation so it took a while to get this bottle. My husband and I had come here once before. I read about the prime rib and we were really excited to try it. We arrived at 7 PM. They were already out of prime rib. We were very disappointed. However -we stayed and ate some very good food. Loved the coconut shrimps, the Thai salad and seasoning on point . We tried the fish and chips, excellent! flaky fish, moist with a nice crunch. I took the Keylime pie to go. It was so good. We returned last night. We went early 6 o'clock to be sure we got prime rib. They were already very busy. We got one of the last tables, thank goodness! I ordered an old-fashioned with buffalo trace. My new favorite it was yummy. They had Branzino as their special. With Angel hair pasta and asparagus. It was so very good . My husband got his prime rib! The big one :-) there was enough for both of us to enjoy. The service is a little slow. It seems maybe not enough staff? Our server was excellent. We saw she was working very hard. This time I took home the chocolate ganache tart AND the Keylime pie. Both of them delicious. No complaints! We had a day of adventure. We drove back from Cheyenne and stopped at the outlet so we were cold and hungry. It was meant for us to dine here because there was a parking space at the front of the door. We were promptly greeted and made to feel so welcome. Our server was attentive and our food came out quickly and perfectly prepared. The prime rib was seasoned and cooked to perfection. My only complaint was this couple talking to another couple. The woman was complaining about local government and cussing like a sailor...no filter other than her being annoying the vibe was great! Music was all songs I actually knew and liked. Headed there for lunch on Saturday based on recommendations from Broomfield Trek Bikes Shop. Tom was our server. We loved the feel of the place when we walked in and always appreciate when the staff talks highly about specific menu items and tells you about the place. The burger and beer were delicious. 5 star on the prime rib! I got the 16oz and it was one of the most tender cuts I've ever had. It really surprised me I have tried many other places- most much more expensive and tougher. Long story short, I'll be back again & again for the prime rib specifically. My wife ordered the fish & chips, we liked them, I'd give them a B grade or 4 star. The place gets really packed and is popular so if you come during peak hours, be preparred to wait awhile. The ambiance is dark and there is various seating all around a big bar that sits in the middle of the restaurant. Our waitress was good, I could tell she was busy but she still managed to check on us multiple times. Bottom line, I highly doubt I'll find a more tender prime rib anywhere, and for that reason alone they get a 5 star. Not to mention I'll be back for as long as I'm in Colorado. Great reviews for this establishment so we were on this side of town and had to stop I try the lunch. I ordered the fish & chips and my wife ordered the BBQ Western Burger with sweet potato fries. Maybe the best fish & chips I have had in a long time. 3 piece of cod was done very well and the fish was a good size to batter. Tasted very good. My wife's BBQ Burger was very good as well with a large patty and the fixin's. The bacon was very tasty and the BBQ sauce had a great taste with a bit of a kick. The wait staff was very prompt and nice. It is a tavern with a tavern atmosphere. We enjoyed our lunch and so glad we stopped in.
