Beautiful winery, we drove into the driveway and looks like a house. The backyard is a hill and you can see the vineyards. The inside was very spacious, suited for large groups and private parties. The patio and more seating in the backyard. They serve finger foods, pizza, and charcuterie boats. The bar is on the left as soon as you enter the building, review the list of wines they offer, you can do a flight or by glass. They don't offer tasting, but can give you a small sample prior to choosing a glass. Service was great, they gave me a pager for the food. We had a carrier for my wine and open seating anywhere. Also bottles are available for purchase if you liked the wine.

They have a smaller luncheon menu and I chose lasagna and a side salad. The salad was very fresh and the dressing was a really light Italian that was very complementary to the greens and not overwhelming at all. When the lasagna came, I initially thought wow that's a lot of cheese, but it really was not an overwhelming amount. And the taste of the sauce as well as the meat in the lasagna was fantastic. I don't know what I expected, quite possibly the same generic type of lasagna you get at most places, but this was far from it. Very different than many other lasagnas and tasted as if a family member made it with an old secret family recipe. The restaurant is very clean and classy. My server was very polite and attentive, but not overwhelming. I didn't get any bread, which was a bit of a disappointment, not because I need bread in the least, but I do enjoy trying different breads at different restaurants. However, that takes away nothing from the dining experience for me. I won't even remove a star for it. This is five star all the way.

Here is my overall impression of a quick overnight stay at this hotel....it is exceptionally CLEAN. All surfaces in our room, especially the bathroom were spotless. The bed had soft sheets, the mattress and pillows were very very comfortable. Rave reviews again for the cleaning staff-they are ON POINT! The only reason I don't give it five stars are the smells that waft through the halls from people cooking in their rooms. I wish Candlewood used a signature scent air freshening system in the hallways. The overwhelming smell of other peoples food isn't appealing. Quick update-we spent one more night here in our return trip and wanted to add that there were a couple things I noticed on this trip that gave me pause. This time, people arguing out front, congregating and smoking at the entrance and a broken beer bottle on the lobby floor.

The entire staff is friendly and appears to want to provide you with good service but they've never been trained on how to do their job. From housekeeping, to service at the bar and restaurant, to simple upkeep of linens and the general property, this property should be a five star but it's a two star at best. Stay at any of the other travel hotels. You'll be much more satisfied. You'll get what you expect. This is a property in the Marriott Signature line that does not live up to what you expect from this brand. We will not return to this hotel. The lobby is pretty big and open and the hotel appears to be geared towards large groups such as a wedding, or business get-together as there are several meeting rooms. We didn't eat here, but I saw they had eggs, potatoes, and sausage. They also had the usual items like bagels. The room is very spacious and the bed was comfortable. The room had a microwave and a decent sized fridge. It also has a Keurig which I know may be considered pretty standard nowadays. I forgot soap, but was glad to see that there was a bottle of Bath and Body Works body wash that had a eucalyptus scent. When I was checking in, I inadvertently prevented check-in from being as smooth as possible, but the young lady working the desk (Sydney) was very friendly, patient, and understanding. Lastly, I felt as though the room was very nicely priced as I've stayed in far worse for more money.
