    My experience we less than favorable. A quote was provided by Tim. The work was done while we were out of town. We came home to find exposed wires and less than adequate used lights installed. Also used spot lights to light a pathway versus path lighting. I was also quoted for two Transformers and two Timers. Only one timer and neither Transformer were ever installed I discussed this with them and was advised all would be corrected. But then their tune changed. In a long text I was advised that they wouldn't bury the cables unless I paid an additional $600. Also was told if I wanted the job completed it would cost me an additional $500 bringing my grand total to $1500 for used lights and parts. Luckily I had only paid a deposit and was able to find a more reputable company to complete the unfinished job. Live and learn.

    Unique Lighting was very prompt when contacted about service. The technician, Jay, was friendly, knowledgeable, neat, experienced and quick with installing a ceiling fan, light fixture and controller switch in my dining room. My wife is ecstatic with the look and function of our new fan/lights. I would not hesitate to recommend Unique Lighting. This could hardly have been easier.

When we…read moreset our home alarm, it would go off in the middle of the night and when we were away on holiday. When we contacted customer service, they were not only unable to rectify the situation, they actually told us we needed to be home to disengage the alarm rather than being able to do so remotely. Unheard of. Furthermore, we had to have technicians service the system multiple times due to "error" messages on the panel. The sensors constantly showed errors about low batteries and we had to replace multiple sensors throughout our home at very high prices. When we finally called to cancel service, they made it near impossible--calls were dropped right before the supposed final step of a 25 minute call. The next call with customer service was over 30 minutes, at which point I was told they couldn't cancel without speaking to my spouse--perhaps they should have led the call with that information. This happened countless times over the course of weeks. Out of desperation, they kept offering different incentives to remain with the company before transferring us to the next representative and the next representative... Waste of money and time. Look elsewhere.

Then they won't let you out of the contract by doing the following.... Vivants customer service is horrible. The times I call to ask questions regarding my long 5 year contract and canceling it I get the run around. First person I speak with, didn't know how to tell me what the balance or payments were, took 15 minutes to figure out what I was looking for. Then transfers me to loyalty to talk about canceling, put me on hold for 10 minutes then comes back saying they are really busy and puts me on hold for another 15 minutes. Then it sounded like they were picking up the phone I got hung up on. Now mind you, I have tried to call multiple times, and this happens every time. The Last time it was 60 minutes then got hung up on Now I am starting to think this is there way to make the customer so frustrated that they just say forget it. Who has time to keep doing this over and over again.

I had the tech come back to replace the panel but instead he replaced it with a door cam and charged us $335 for service and hardware I did not want. When I challenged the charge I was ignored. I called again and was on hold for 75 minutes to simply explain the problem and schedule a tech again. They tried to charges $100 for the visit. I had that waived. If this is not resolved tomorrow. I will cancel the service. This company is quick to install and charge but Horrible otherwise

I also like on the panel that you can view your doorbell camera, this is nice since I don't have a peephole. Unfortunately their tactics are shady. I had a rep come to my house offering a buyout from brinks. I was not unhappy with brinks, but the items above were convincing to me. I did not sign up right away, but when my in-laws were looking for a system I had gave them the number of the rep. They signed up and the rep told them to have me call and he would give me a referral credit if we signed up. The rep gave us the updated quote which ended up being $20 more and without a second camera, they told me the promo was over. Stupidly I still decided to sign on. They told me if I had the tech come that night they would waive the 1st 2 months, so I agreed. We started the buyout process, which was a total pain. We had to get a buyout letter from Brinks's, when we got the letter 2 weeks later, I sent it to the rep. Vivint sent a debit card that was supposed to cover the cost of the buyout so we could pay it, the debit card was about $400 short. It took 2 months and many phone calls to get the amount increased and it still didn't cover the amount I submitted. I ended up getting charged for 2 extra months of brinks and Vivint charged me the whole time as well. I asked for a refund on the 2 months of Vivint service and they told me I should have canceled even though I didn't have the spare money to pay for the buyout. I also asked why I didn't have the initial 2 months waived as agreed. They told me they just waive the equipment not the service. To which I said if they aren't paying the finance company, then they were misleading since I will still need to pay it on the backside anyway. It has been crickets since. When I am done paying this off I don't know if I will keep the service, I feel like I was scammed.

Then when you do finally get through the phone maze of number prompts, the representatives really don't listen to your issue. All they want to try to do is troubleshoot. Which i get if it was the first time calling in for an issue. But when it's the same issue and a customer is requesting for a technician to come out. Don't go 5 rounds with them!
