I hired Tim's company to replace some outdoor lights and a bath fan I knew was gonna be a booger. The guys were professional, quick, tidy, friendly, timely, and super reasonably priced. I now have a whisper quiet bath fan and outdoor lights that actually work! So I had them back to install two ceiling fandeliers, which I knew would be a battle because the wall switches were never wired. They were super quick, again, super tidy and really sweet. Tim's estimates were spot on both times, no hidden crap, and hundreds of dollars less than a previous estimate by another electrician. They made it look easy and restored my faith in trades coming into my house (have had some bad experiences; haven't we all?). Tim's communication via phone and text was quick and personable. I do not recommend this company to anyone. Tim is eager to take as much money as possible from customers but totally unwilling to fix problems he causes. To boot, he refused accountability and blamed the gardener. He pointed a light directly into my neighbor's bedroom window. It took them a few months to tell us and when I reached out to him, he said it would be at least $190 for him to make any adjustments. I asked if he could give me tips on how to fix the timer, he refused unless we gave him $190. I ended up figuring it out on my own and it would have taken him no more than five minutes to make this adjustment but he still wanted $190. read more

My experience we less than favorable. A quote was provided by Tim. The work was done while we were out of town. We came home to find exposed wires and less than adequate used lights installed. Also used spot lights to light a pathway versus path lighting. I was also quoted for two Transformers and two Timers. Only one timer and neither Transformer were ever installed I discussed this with them and was advised all would be corrected. But then their tune changed. In a long text I was advised that they wouldn't bury the cables unless I paid an additional $600. Also was told if I wanted the job completed it would cost me an additional $500 bringing my grand total to $1500 for used lights and parts. Luckily I had only paid a deposit and was able to find a more reputable company to complete the unfinished job. Live and learn. read more

Jay had to walk on wood planks over the staircase in order to install the fixture and the end result is magnificent! The service and install was so great I hired them back two weeks later to install new fixtures for the kitchen island and the office. Very fair prices and prompt scheduling. I didnt have to wait a week or longer ( like other companies I have used in the past) for them to come out. They are very professional, timely, organized and adept in what they do. A charming character, but unfortunately a BAD experience with Tim. Asked for $300 for an hour spent at our place in Laguna Niguel. Half the time was spent to fix a wiring issue and another half half of the time was spent to "MISDIAGNOSE" the other issue completely, as I found out later. Asked him to refund $125 for my cost to have the misdiagnosed issue fixed using another electrician on the same day. He never responded. Also, dumped broken lights from his truck into my trash and all over the street where my kids play. I am not sure if he was drunk or what. Bad experience overall. My AC would not work since the circuit breaker kept jumping. I called to check on the circuit breaker and the electrician told me it was fine. The AC tech came and he did everything he could and he pointed the issue was the circuit breaker. I had to pay another electrician to replace the circuit breaker. The AC tech came back and got the AC working right away. I felt Tim Hensons tech missed the problem and delayed my repair and costed me extra to fix the issue. I got to talk to the owner and he refused to refund me the $145 I paid to his electrician. He blamed me for not giving him the chance to fix it, and I should not have hired another electrician to replace the circuit breaker. The fact was I called him right after the AC tech came and he could not get the AC working. He pinpointed the issue to the circuit breaker. I called Tim Hensons and he refused to recognize the problem with the circuit breaker. At that point I had to call another electrician to replace the circuit breaker. The AC tech came and immediately he was able to get the AC working. Clearly Tim Hensons did not do the job right and he did not earn the money. He should refund me. read more

Terrible experience with Tim. Charged $290 for a quote for a pool light install (December 2018). Never seemed intent on doing the job. Very unprofessional. "I've done thousands of pool lights," he said. Sent out his excavation guy a month later (I had to call and ask). Very charming guy named Greg. Greg eventually provided a quote, said he'd work with Tim. This was in January 2019. The quote and dance was a charade. He never called back. Be very careful with this outfit! read more
