Unable to give a 4.5 star rating. We removed 1/2 a star because we were frustrated that we took time out of our busy schedule to make arrangements for them to come out. They were scheduled to arrive between 4-6pm. They called and postponed it for the next day between 1-3pm. At 3pm my husband called them and asked if they're ever going to show up and they apologize saying "What, no one called you to tell you that we're unable to make it?". Apparently they were going to postpone it again, but we fell through the cracks. They apologized profusely and wanted to reschedule it AGAIN for the following week with a 10% discount. Long story short, the owner called my husband back within 10 minutes and apologized - we gave them a second chance and made an appointment for someone to show up the next day between 10am-12pm. The owner, which we didn't know at that time, showed up 1/2 hour early and did a fantastic job. He apologized multiple times for us falling through the cracks. With that being said, he gets a 5 star rating and we'll definitely use them again. But next time if they need to postpone - once is fine, but 2+ times is not acceptable. read more

Charles his tech, could not find it, but took time to eval and quote a much needed light above the kitchen sink. When he came back he found the buzz ... and took care of it ... as well as advised on lamp settings for two other fixtures, and installed the kitchen light (which was more difficult than expected). He covered kitchen areas with plastic and took great care with the mess. We are extremely happy with the prompt professional service and great sense of humor. Found a great electrician! read more

I originally had an an appointment for these folks to show up at my house on August 10th at 8:30!A.M. They never showed up and they never called. Later that day, I called them and told them that I waited around, but they never showed up and never called. I made it clear that I wasn't happy, especially because they just left me hanging. Later that day I did get a call back. At that time, the fellow said that, gee, he was sorry but they had some personnel issues. When I asked why I didn't get the courtesy of a phone call he responded that they were just too but and it slipped their mind. So, with misgivings, I agreed to reschedule them for the following Tuesday , August 15th. This time, they did show up, two young decent guys. They went to work and, approximately 45 or 50 minutes later they said they had fixed the problems and they were done. I gave them a check for $175.00, the agreed upon hourly rate and they left. With 15 or 20 minutes thereafter, I got two phone calls and a voicemail saying I owed them an additional charge of $11.00 for parts. No problem. Approximately two hours later, I discovered that two master bathroom sockets ( for which I had primarily called them) still didn't work. So I called back. Approximately two and a half hours later they did return. This time they again appeared to have fixed the problem. Thereupon they left. Before going further, let me say that these guys themselves were wonderful; they were extremely pleasant and appeared to know their business. I find no fault with them whatsoever. Can't say the same for their employer. Within 15-20 minutes of their leaving I got still another, additional bill from the Carter plumbing company. This time they demanded another $37.50! No explanation. At that point I emailed them and advised them I had no intention of paying them additional moneys for all the inconvenience they caused me. I would have absolutely no problem hiring the two guys themselves again. As to Carter Plumbing, no way. read more

Wow! We are so happy with the work Steve Carter has done for us. Our team today was Johnny, Ken and Bob. We needed two ceiling fans installed (where none previously existed). They did a great job! I love my ceiling fans! We also had two LED recessed lights added to my very dark laundry room. What an improvement! An additional job they completed for us is the outdoor fountain timer. It has not worked since we moved in a few months ago and originally installed not to code, with exposed wires and such. They fixed it in no time. It's so nice to hear the fountain! This is the second time that we have used Steve Carter electric. Steve himself came out to give us a quote along with really good advise. In one day they were able to install a new chandelier in a high ceiling, add plugs for a new tankless water heater and garage door openers. They also added four recessed lights in our home office. Plus they installed Lutron Caseta switches so I can control everything by my phone. The crew was extremely professional. When it was getting late they called in reinforcements so they could get the job done in one day. They cleaned up after themselves and were very courteous all day.
