I found parking right in front of the cafe. It's diagonal, pull-in street parking. I walked in. It's a push to get through the door. I was immediately greeted by a friendly, accommodating staff member. I wanted a hot chocolate and asked about the four different ounce sizes. He showed me all the paper white cups. I went with the second-largest size. I also asked that I get soy or some non-dairy beverage added to it. Done! I have a weakness for baked goods. This cafe has vegan options, including pumpkin vegan muffins during my visit. Everything looked so goods, from brownies, to cookies. I saw the large cookie jars staring at me. My gosh, each cookie is larger than the palm of my hand and I have big hands! I wanted a s'mores one so badly. You basically take the tongs, grab your cookie, and place it in a paper bag. I got my hot chocolate and cookie that came to $9. It's not cheap, but it's fair trade goods. I expect to pay slightly more. There is a draft in the cafe, so the merchant bill that I had ripped off the machine before getting my bill blew off the counter and onto the floor. I let the man know, which he appreciated. You can pay by cash, and debit and credit cards. I also provided a tip. As usual, it's up to you. It was a bit of a challenge with full hands to get out of the cafe when you need to pull on the door handle to get out. Luckily, I put my hot chocolate on the bar-like table, pulled the door open, used my foot to keep it open, grabbed my drink, and moved quickly through the door. Problem solved! The hot chocolate is dark chocolate. I happen to love it. If you are more of a milk hot chocolate lover, you might find the hot chocolate to be missing sugar and perhaps taste bitter. I loved it. There was probably more soy in my drink than there should have been, but it was perfect for my less sugary needs. The s'mores cookie is extremely yummy! OMG, if I lived in the neighbourhood, I would buy the jar of cookies every day. It was buttery, chocolatey, and marshmallowy (I know, not a word, but whatever) delicious. It paired nicely with my hot chocolate, as it had slightly more sugar. I would come back just for this cookie alone. There were plenty of seats to sit down. If you sit by the bar-like area with stools, you get a nice view of the area. People-watching is casual in this cafe. It has a nice vibe. You can get a number of fair-trade coffee varieties. I am personally not a coffee connoisseur, but I appreciated both the selection and the cause. I like this cafe. I'd come back to give the muffins and more drink items a taste the next time I'm here. There were plenty of Starbucks locations in the area, so I ended up being a regular Starbucks customer. After all these years, I didn't really have a favourite Starbucks cafe. Sure, I visit my local one a lot out of convenience, but it's not my favourite. I'd say the one closest to my workplace is close to being my favourite because it has a drive-thru and staff are extremely friendly. They like being there and appreciate that I appreciate what they do. My friend, Sandy, and I dropped by this Starbucks cafe in late August before a Yelp event in Oakville. Frankly, my knowledge of the Mississauga-Oakville border is so poor that I thought this cafe was in Oakville. Nope, it's considered Mississauga. I have found my favourite Starbucks cafe. It's this one. This cafe has a drive-thru. It had steady business when we dropped by. We wanted to get drinks, sit down, chat, and kill some time. It's rare that I can't comment on going through a Starbucks drive-thru. It's the case here. I backed into a parking spot fairly close to the main entrance. We got out of my car and entered the cafe. Sandy did a pitstop. I used the washroom before we left. There are two single stalls. The one that I used was clean and roomy. I went to place my order. My favourite drink these days is the cool lime refresher. It was a regular drink on the menu years ago. Starbucks got rid of it. When it returns for a limited time, I pounce on it like a tabby cat. I got the nicest barista. When I ordered this refresher in a grande size, she asked if it was for here or to go. I said the former. She asked if I wanted it in a glass or a cup. A glass?! Super fancy! It was a first for me. I went for the glass. Wow! And, that's why this cafe is my favourite. I have never had any Starbucks cold drink in a glass before. I had my Starbucks barcode on my app scanned to pay for my drink. I like that my name shows up automatically on the label. It didn't take long for my drink to be ready. Yes, I picked up the solid glass containing my cool lime refresher. I sat down with Sandy and her drink. My glass had a sticker with my name and my order on it. Maybe my glass was chilled a bit. I loved my cool lime refresher. It tasted even better in a glass. Maybe it's psychological. I don't know. I do know that it hit the spot and I felt classy. Yes to getting a drink in a glass. Sandy had her drink in a cup. I showed her the braille at the bottom of it. She thought it was neat. Her reaction was similar to mine when I accidentally found it. This cafe is clean. Staff are friendly. The only downside was that there weren't any baked goods in the display case. I'm not sure why. Luckily, I wasn't in need for any, so I'm not docking any stars off my rating. There was a bin to put your glasses and dishes in by the garbage and recycle bin. I actually cleaned out my car and brought my empty beverage bottles in to be recycled. I loved being here. This cafe stands out. It is my favourite Starbucks cafe and I'm happy that I have one at long last. I hope to return and try the drive-thru. I'd also like to come back and have a drink in a glass. Even during busy periods, the staff stays calm, professional, and positive. There is clearly strong leadership and good training behind the scenes. The store feels well run, organized, and supportive, and that shows directly in the customer experience. The service is consistent, the details are handled well, and the energy in the space is always steady and welcoming. In a brand as large as Starbucks, it is rare to find a location that stands out this much. This one does because of the team culture, the care they bring to their work, and the way they represent the brand day in and day out. Corporate should be proud of the people working here. Highly recommend this location, not just for the coffee, but for the experience.
