On the morning Wake Show aboard the Ruby Princess, the activity manager said he knew he was going to Tim Horton's to get the timbits. As we were walking thru town, we saw several fellow passengers with Tim Horton paper coffee cups. We asked how it was and they said the coffee was great if you like dark roast. So of course, off to Tim Hortons. There was a line about 10 deep. Customer service was excellent. Very nice young adult at the register. It's a nice bright shop, relatively clean. We had a very short wait. There were customers sitting inside and out. Weather was super nice out at 10 am. There was a pretty quick turnover and we found a table. We ordered the 10 piece timbits, 4 different flavors were available, birthday cake, sour cream glazed, employee recommended, not bad, honey dipped, and filled golden snitch caramel, our favorite. These are bite size donut holes. We got double espresso. It actually came from a big machine. I'm really picky and it's okay. It went perfect with the timbits. $3.69 for 10 timbits was a great price for me. I love Stan's in Santa Clara, California and I have not found any donuts to match. These are an okay substitute if you want donuts. read more

**My second time at this location. Stopped by this location again while visiting on a cruise, and I enjoyed it just as much as last time. Like a lot of other cruisers from the ship, I made my way over to grab some treats, and the staff were friendly and upbeat despite the sudden rush. The matcha drinks were yummy and refreshing, and you can never go wrong with their classic donuts. I asked the young lady to pick the flavors she liked the most. I do have to give an apology to the local residents, though. Between all of us, we definitely overwhelmed the place! Thanks to the team for keeping their cool and serving everyone with a smile. As this was my first venture into Canada, I had to stop by a Tim Hortons during a recent cruise. We only had a few hours docked at port, so my wife & I came here in the morning. It wasn't hard, as the line was out the door, mostly with our fellow cruise mates. (I apologize to the locals trying to enjoy their drinks and food while us tourists encroached on your space.) Near the front door are 2 self-service kiosks, a long with 2 regular counters. My wife & I waited in the normal line, as we wanted to look at the food in the counter for our first time. We ended up getting a 10-pack of Timbits and 2 iced drinks. Since the staff was overwhelmed with all the cruise tourists, the drinks took a while (about 20 minutes). Once we got them, we ate our Timbits inside before leaving to finish our drinks on the walk in town. The food was nice, though I wish I had more opportunities to try the rest of the menu. I guess I'll have to return on my next Canadian adventure. The prices are very reasonable, and without the large swell, it would have been nice to sit and enjoy the food and drinks. read more

You can't say you went to Canada without getting some Tim Hortons! I'd say this is the Starbucks/Dunkin' Donuts of Canada. Prices are very affordable and their drinks aren't half bad. Service was fast and nice. Definitely recommend you give them a try! read more

My first experience at Tim Hortons! Unfortunately, it might ve been my last. I had to make a visit to the Dunkin Donuts of Canada. I ordered sour cream donut holes, she gave me an assortment with only one sour hole. Fail. Also had to get an iced latte, guess that was a must. But full of ice and undefiled, not as good as Dunkin that's for sure. And the last bit of bad news? Both bathrooms were out due to cleaning. Not sure if I just cake at the wrong time, got the wrong person, who gave me the wrong item. I actually brought the whole clan 30 min later, who also agreed the food and experience wasn't great. I'm so sorry Tim Hortons, I was expecting something decent, but I guess you just weren't my match. read more

Tim Horton's is a Canadian Fast Food icon. It's the closest fast food from the Cruise ship port other than the Starbucks located inside the Safeway supermarket. It's like a Dunkin' Donuts but with light sandwiches, flatbread pizzas and a soup. Friendly cheery fast service, tough and dense little donut holes, decent coffee and blueberry muffins. The other donuts might have been a better choice over the donut holes. Of all the items we sampled, the bacon & cheese flatbread pizza and the muffins were best. The light crust on the flatbread pizza was quite enjoyable. They brought the pizza out to our table - an unexpected personal touch in this casual no pretensions fast food joint. We are just passing through, but I'd hit this place up for coffee, flatbread and muffins again, but probably not the donut holes. read more

The coffee! Oh the coffee!!! While this location may not be the most ideal, it was a "when in Rome do as the Romans". We were in Prince Rupert for a cruise stop and we were quickly trying to find out what to do there which wasn't much. I'd always heard a lot about Tim Horton's, especially their coffee so I thought I'd make the walk from the cruise port and while it was a bit of an uphill hike, it didn't disappoint. The coffee was worth the trek, the donut I got was mid (I got a chocolate glazed?), my son loved the croissant he got. We also got a 10 count Timbits with a few blueberry cheesecake, a few sour cream, and a few honey glazed. I was hoping to bring some back to the ship but we inhaled those. Service was great as they make your coffee for you. Maybe I won't got back to this one in particular because I don't think I'll be back to Prince Rupert, but I'll be back Tim Horton's! wow super busy here. This is like the to go to spot for donuts, coffee, breakfast and lunch. I came here to grab a quick bite. I ended up getting the chicken wrap with hot chocolate and donuts. Yes it was a combo! Timmy's is the usual. Nothing wow. Food here is pretty consistent with the other Timmy's that I have been to. The restaurant was pretty clean when I went. For fast food it's pretty good. For us Americans I'd say it's Starbucks meets Dunkin Donuts with a splash of McDonalds, lol. Good basic coffee, free wi-fi and usually some comfy seating with a fireplace makes this a popular haunt for the locals. A good spot for a quick stop for lunch. We had two grilled cheese sandwiches (one with bacon), French onion soup, a turkey club, and various drinks. While the food was tasty, if not too salty, they seemed pre-packaged, not made to order. Service was kind, but not very knowledgeable about what goes into which lunch item. Really great place for coffee and a breakfast sandwich or pastry in Prince Rupert. They have a express line if you just want coffee which really speeds up service. The coffee is way better than Starbucks and the food is fresh, unlike Starbucks. The only issue is seating, the place is always packed and when a table opens up you have to grab it and clean it yourself as they don't have enough staff cleaning tables. The Tim Hortons in Prince Rupert is surely the center of attention of a lot of folks. It is right int he middle of the city. It is a good, and a bad thing at the same time. The advantage is that the place is very accessible. From wherever you are in this little-big town, you can be there within minutes. The problem though, is if you show up at around 8am, you will have to wait. And if it's a Friday or for some odd reason a busy Tuesday, you might have to spend 10-15 minutes waiting for your bagel. If you show up around lunch time, same thing. And for table space, you might not find one right away, and might not find one at all since there's a lot of people sitting down for hours chatting with a coffee. Which I must admit, I am guilty myself. The size of the parking and the lack of a drive through is mind boggling. The only Tim Hortons in town serving a population of 12,000+ people and barely more parking spaces than you can count on two hands AND no drive though?? Weird. But another good thing about the place is that busy or not, everything is always fresh and the employees are always happy to help you: Everyone always have a smile. And everyone knows how important a smile is in the morning. To me anyways. read more
