I've read 20 reviews, mostly negative, and I don't see it. Yes, the tables and chairs are unstable, at best. The donuts are terrific and the coffee is up to specs. The staff here were very pleasant. The lines weren't long at all. All the products they offer were smartly displayed. We even had a rare (for us) breakfast sandwich that turned out just fine. I grew up Canadian and understand the food concept so maybe I'm more accepting. None of the horror stories happened to us at this location so we give it a nice thumbs-up. I stopped into my local Tim Horton's in West Branch this morning for coffee and donuts. There were six employees behind the counter and I waited five minutes and never got waited on. I walked out and the customer that was in front of me walked out as well. I regularly visit this establishment so I was extremely disappointed with this lack of service. read more

Crazy slow, not very busy but still took an extraordinary amount of time out of my day to make our drinks while our food sat on the counter. Looking into the drive through window I could tell that no one was doing anything with a full line of cars behind us and no team work or really work at all was going on. Too bad this Tim Horton's is not as good as the others where we have eaten. (The only others have all been in Canada). This one only had chicken noodle soup or chili available, neither of which I wanted. They were not busy but still managed to mess up my order. The wrap was not fresh and barely warm. To make up for the messed up the order, I was given some Tidbits. They were good. Since we are traveling, we won't be back, but I also will not recommend stopping here. All the tables and floors in the restaurant were dirty. Restroom was disgusting with paper on the floor and urine all over both toilet seats. The building went up during the summer of 2012. Now it's open, and it's a Tim Horton's with a Cold Stone Creamery (ice cream!) For some reason, when hubby is passing through West Branch, he wants ice cream. Doesn't even matter if it's winter. The boy wants to scream for ice cream. We usually stop at the gas station, which sells ice cream inside. But last time they had cones that fell apart even as they ice cream was being pressed into them. So hubby was willing to try something else. Cold Stone Creamery makes decent ice cream. Hubby had dark chocolate peppermint. He said he was hoping for a bit more peppermint. I had a taste. Fudgy! I decided on Strawberry Mango Banana Sorbet. It was a bit sweet, but I wanted fruit flavors. The cones were substantial, came wrapped in paper, and had that lovely caramel flavor. Doesn't hurt that it's a Tim Horton's, too. You can get soup /sandwich and either donuts or ice cream for dessert, all in one place. Open 24/7. read more

Was really glad to see a Horton's opening outside the metro areas where they usually appear in the US. This is becoming a regular coffee stop for me on the way up north. But experiences with service are mixed. Sometimes the place seems desperately short staffed, with one person working and tending to both drive through and counter orders. I've waited up to five minutes to place an order when I was the only one at the counter. Hopefully this place can build up its staff and work through some of these kinks. read more

I've only been to Tim Horton's but 3 times in my life. The last time was on my way up north. We made a pit stop here and I was sorely disappointed. The bathroom was filthy, the restaurant was filthy, there were flies hanging around, my donut was stale and the wait was obnoxiously long. Driving from Saginaw to Traverse City we saw the sign for a Tim Horton's off this exit and stopped to grab a few drinks and 9 pm. When I checked in on Yelp I couldn't believe it only had 1-star. Once we pulled up to the drive-in window we quickly realized why. Having been to several 100 Tim Horton's in the US and Canada I couldn't believe the lack of professionalism and respect that the man in the drive-thru window portrayed. In the two minutes we were in line (we were the only car) waiting for a coffee and hot chocolate he said the 'F' word to us four times. How can anybody working a drive-thru window think that's ok? And he thought it was funny. The man, who was an older gentleman, saw that we were driving a large diesel four-wheel drive vehicle and could tell that we went fishing. He said "You guys are a bunch of f--king rich guys aren't you?" Next up was, "Do you have any f---ing in live minnows in your vehicle?" He then use the 'F' word two more times and told us to "come f---ing see him again and catch some F-ing fish next time." Completely classless. read more

This is the dirtiest coffee shop ever! Staff are rude, they are frequently out of menu items, and the food is stale. My bagel wrapper smelled so bad (old onions & rotten tomatoes) that I couldn't eat. A staff member was EATING HER BREAKFAST behind the counter while working. This is the filthiest Tim Horton's I have ever seen....maybe the filthiest fast food restaurant I've ever been to in my life. Completely and totally disgusting are nice words for this place. There were wrappers, empty sugar packets, used coffee cup lids, used plastic silverware, and spilled condiments on the COUNTER! There was food, wrappers, and other garbage all over the floor. This Tim Horton's needs some serious help. I am from Canada and I have never seen one as dirty as the location in West Branch. As the layout of the location has a lot of the production in plain site, I was not impressed to see how dirty the production area was. The garbage area and the surrounding stainless steel near the donut filling area was caked in whipped cream and other ingredients, absolutely filthy. The filling machine was not clean, and all the different types of fillings were just sitting scattered on the counters. The donuts on display looked like a child chocolate dipped them. The employee working there was wearing her own personal hoodie and no uniform. Bathrooms were as dirty as the area behind the counter. Plus side, coffee was hot. That's about it. I don't think corporate would be very pleased to see this location in action, and based on the other reviews, I'm not alone with my opinion on this location. Avoid it! read more

This location won't be open long without major changes. Customer service is extremely lacking, and she was rather snide with her replies. Somewhat understandable when your were out 2 of the 3 items I came for and the third you weren't sure if you had. I love Tim Hortons I usually come into the store on most trips to West Branch some visits have been better than others but today was the absolute worst. My daughter and I went thru the drive thru ordered 2 cappuccino's and kettle chips my daughter's drink was not the usual TimHortons quality. We waited 10 minutes no one else in site,the gentleman asked my daughter if she'd like a receipt when she handed him her credit card she replied yes please he handed the card back no receipt. If I could give this place a zero rating I would. I took my parents here on my birthday after spending the entire day at the Dr office with my mother. The older man (Ken) that waited on us was rude and condescending. He mocked me and was completely disrespectful.
