Awesome food! Friendly. Our goto spot when we are up north. The pizza is the best ever!

We've been going here for years. We trail ride and stop here for lunch or breakfast. The food has never disappointed. The onion rings are something we always get. They are so big and so good! The country fried steak was okay the gravy was very very thick and probably one of my least favorite things I've had to eat here. The soup is scratch made and was good. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING FOOD. If you have no been yet and are in the area or passing by it is a must. The diner has a homey feel, place was super clean and spotless. They had their deserts on display ready to take home if there be which I loved. I ordered the country fried steak and it was absolutely perfection. Great flavor and definitely the home cooked meal vibe. The owner was super friendly and staff was nice they even gave us some history of the area. Everything we ordered was very good. A bit of a drive from where we are but it has really been worth it. We have tried several selections over the course of many visits and have enjoyed it every time. Breakfast is always so good, too. Carl is a star and friendly man of many gifts as you can see his hardwork and creativity while visiting this adorable property. The restaurant also offers a selection of baked goods and carry out desserts for when you are too full at the time to partake. Prices are reasonable and wait staff exceptional. Check out their placemats that feature other area businesses, too. We found the best goat soap farmer store through their placemats! An awesome brunch spot if you want some easy diner food! We got breakfast, which came out hot and delicious! I ordered the farmers omelette, which was stuffed with all the good stuff. The sourdough bread that came with the meal was really good as well! The food isn't anything to brag about, but I have no complaints about it, the service, or the establishment. There aren't too many options around so I'm happy with it! You definitely get a good amount of food for the price. read more

We stopped here for lunch on a Friday afternoon. I had a tuna salad sandwich which was nice and fresh. My husband had a BLT which he enjoyed. The sandwiches came with homemade potato chips which were crisp and light and yummy! Our waitress was very sweet with a big smile! The only negative was that my husband thought the portion sizes were a bit small; I thought my sandwich was the perfect size, though I would've loved more chips! They also have pies and cookies to take home. I had a hard time choosing but ended up with a big piece of cheesecake while my husband got a couple chocolate chip cookies and a peanut butter cookie. Not good cabin service. No wifi. The host doesn't seem to think WiFi is important. The cost per cabin is too high.

Very family friendly restaurant. I had the corned beef reuben and onion rings and they reuben was delicious. Onion rings were good and crunchy... Little greasy but good. Son had the Buffalo wings and liked them alot... Very hot! He said it was some of the hottest Buffalo sauce he's had. He loved them. If you are looking for a good reuben come here! We had a great meal here. Although their special for the night was broasted or baked chicken, we both ordered a 1/2 pound hamburger. Very juicy and cooked to our order. I also had the onion rings which are a big favorite here. And for dessert we had a piece of homemade cherry pie. Their pies, all homemade, are another favorite. The restaurant is very clean inside and out, restrooms are ok, and their flowers are beautiful! They have cabins for rent on their property and a campground and miniature golf next door. All I can comment on here are the breakfasts--but man are they good! Omelettes are large and well filled (there must have been half a pound of sausage in the sausage-cheese job I ate there last Saturday), hash browns are crispy, pancakes are golden-brown and fluffy. The rye bread actually tastes like rye instead of like white bread with a tan. One of these days I'm going to come for lunch, if only to order one of the amazing looking pie slices offered in a dozen varieties. read more

Great breakfast here this past Saturday. Place was hopping due to the deer hunters. The three of us enjoyed our meals. I had blueberry pancakes along with scrambled eggs and house made patty sausage. The pancakes were excellent. Fluffy and delicious. The patty sausage was very good. I must say for the price it was small. My friends had a breakfast sandwich along with corned beef hash. The hash was the canned kind, but she liked it. My other friend had the house breakfast special which he liked as well. The place was clean and homey. I would have given them 5 stars, however, no one acknowledged us when we walked in and our server wasn't friendly in the least. And for goodness sake, wash your GFS coffee pots. They were disgusting looking. Nothing a little soap and water wouldn't fix. 3 breakfasts and 2 coffees ran us $30.00. Kind of on the high side considering it's up north. Likely higher prices because it's hunting season. I would go back again when in Hale. read more
