Received glasses from Family Vision recently. The minute I put them on, I realized they weren't right. Told office receptionist & she came back after supposedly talking to Dr Sellers & said he advised to wear for a week to make my eyes adjust to them. Called them to report I was unable to read books & after only an hour, glasses made me nauseous. I was told to continue wearing them & made me an appointment for a week later.
Went to another optician to get a 2nd opinion. I was retested & found the prescription was wrong. Replaced lenses with correct prescription. When placing new glasses on with correct prescription I saw perfectly & am now able to read books as well.
Called Family Vision & cancelled appointment. Asked if I could get some kind of refund if I returned the faulty lenses (used frames for new lenses). I was told "No". Dr Sellers said I should have "worked with them to get it right as it wasn't anything to get upset about". Really!
I've worn glasses for more than 50 yrs & when receiving glasses they are to "fit" your vision, NOT have your vision adjust to a prescription that was clearly wrong & making the wearer nauseous along with unable to read.
This was so WRONG!! You read more
