I was initially worried about the 'Nashville car insurance hike' everyone is talking about, but Jenny walked me through the numbers and actually found discounts for my teen driver that my previous agent missed. What really sets this place apart is the vibe--it's right on the corner of 4th & Madison (super convenient if you're hitting the Nashville Farmers' Market). They even have foster dogs from Proverbs 12:10 hanging out in the office, which made a normally boring insurance meeting actually enjoyable. I was getting charged renter's insurance after moving out of my apartment. I called to stop recurring payments and asked for a refund for the two months after I'd moved out. I was perfectly polite, but what happened next was actually bizarre! Lisa started to insult me over the phone, raising her voice to tell me that I had to "learn to be an adult" and pay the consequences of my actions. She then hung up on me when I pointed out that jumping to that kind of personal attack was pretty condescending (again, I did so perfectly politely). All of this because I wanted 25 dollars back. I have been with State Farm for years, I recently filed a claim as we had a significant storm pass by that left many of my neighbors and myself with damaged roofs due to the size of the hail. I hired an independent roofer to come to check for damage and they noted several areas which were affected by the hail. I reached out to my agent who assisted in filing a claim with corporate. An inspector came out a few weeks later and concluded there was no hail damage. I thought that was strange as the roofer I hired found and photographed images of my roof and the damages due to the storm. I let it go and carried on. It was a couple of months later and I noticed 5 neighbors that were within eyesight were in the process of installing a new roof. I walked down to talk to each of them and all of them said that the storm that came through, caused serious damage to their roof and their insurance company was approving a new roof. I decided to call my agent back and push the issue a little harder. How did this storm damage every other roof in my neighborhood but not mine... sounds a bit suspicious to me. I called back and was told they would send out another inspector. The inspector's name was Bitten, and I waited 3 days to hear from him. After not receiving a call from Bitten, I called him. I left him a message. I waited a few more days, no return call. I called again, another voicemail. I called the next day and the following day, but still no return call. I called him 4 times in one week with no response. I wasn't asking for an immediate solution to the problem, simply to confirm when he would be able to come out and inspect my roof. I received a call back a week later, he was on vacation. No out-of-office voicemail, and nothing from his colleagues stating that he was out. We finally scheduled a time for him to show up, and because of the rain that has recently passed through, he is unable to inspect my roof. This has delayed the roof inspection another 2 weeks. To add insult to injury my roof was damaged in a wind storm in the midst of trying to reach Bitten and there are missing shingles on my roof. I have covered my exposed roof but am still waiting on a dang inspection. I have absolutely no end in a sight, I don't know when I am going to hear back from State Farm on my new claim for wind. I don't know when my roof will be fixed. It has been so exhausting and frustrating dealing with them. I have to consistently follow up with them to make sure my claim is followed up. I have a 9-month-old and life is pure chaos now, babysitting State Farm just adds to my stress. I would stay away from State Farm, they are great with taking your money, but resolving any claims or issues, is a complete nightmare. read more

I was looking for some auto insurance Nashville for my 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 and was getting a lot of run around with some of the insurance companies in the area. After about 4 calls to 4 different places I found Tim Shrum - State Farm Insurance and spoke to a lady Lisa. She knew her stuff and was vary friendly and helpful with all my 100+ questions. As a 30 customer this was a simple request. Create a new account for my Daughter. I received someone else's paper work to sign. Questioned it no response. She meets with him fills out all the paperwork including direct payment. Next he makes a mess of both accounts. My account first time ever delinquent due to incorrect withdrawal for her bill. Next, her account is canceled due to none payment on direct pay. If the simple things are complex for him I'd be very concerned about complex plans of more then two. read more

They called me within 15 minutes of me posting this review, not to resolve the issue, but only to yell at me for posting this review. I answered the phone and the first words she said were "do you think what you just did was appropriate?", continued to yell at me, and at some point telling me "karma" is coming. Unbelievable. I find it interesting they call real quick about a negative review but seem to not be able to find the time to reach out with a phone call when a debit card needs updated with the new expiration year instead of just silently canceling my plan. These guys were great until I had to cancel due to moving out of state. They had some issues canceling and said they'd refund me for overcharging a month. No big deal; everybody makes mistakes. Called every week for a couple months and they said they'd take care of it every time, but they never did. Caused me problems with my old bank, since I had to change banks when I moved. read more

Green Hills Court is a quirky older strip mall located a few blocks down from Green Hills Mall on Hillsboro Pike. The shops there are almost all affordable and independent, and include Green Thumb plant nursery, The Art Shop, My Sister's Closet and Bargain Boutique consignment stores, Logos Christian bookstore, and JHS clothing store. I'm glad I stopped by here and found the Green Thumb, The Art Shop, and My Sister's Closet, which are all good independent stores with the extra charm of being slightly off the beaten path. I got to feel like I discovered these relatively unknown stores for myself, but I liked them so much that I want to help them out by telling all of you about them! read more
