My wife and I have always enjoyed Tim Thai. We haven't been there for about 6 mos. but we were looking forward to their fresh chicken spring rolls and their excellent Thai dishes. The 1st turn off was that it was 45 degrees out and the front door was open. From this point on I had entered Bill and Ted's excellent adventure. The clueless server asked if we wanted water and a starter. The menu states chicken or shrimp fresh spring rolls. We ordered the chicken as always. He said they only have shrimp but he could ask the chef he can substitute. He mentioned if they substitute there would be an up-charge. I pointed to the menu which shows "chicken or shrimp spring rolls". His answer was that this is a mistake because they don't speak English??? We couldn't get put the front door fast enough. I've been here twice and each time has been awesome! Every thing I've tried has been delicious and has a beautiful presentation. The owner and staff are very friendly and courteous! Each time we've gone we had to be in and out in 30 minutes because of our lunch break and he does it for us! The pad see ew was amazing the last time I went. There's so much flavor in every thing!! We had a really delicious dinner here. Service was fast and friendly. We started with one of our favorite apps, larb gai. It was a spicy treat. For mains we had a duck specialty dish and a pork green curry. Both were outstanding. We love Thai food and would recommend this place to anyone else who does. read more

This restaurant used to be called Thai Classic II. The food at that time was mediocre at best which is why I never returned. At the recommendation of a friend, my husband and I came to try the restaurant's new management. WOW!! I'm so sorry I didn't try it sooner. The best Thai I've ever had was in Portland, Oregon. I no longer have to fly west for great Thai. The menu has great variety but when I wanted a spicy seafood dish with veggies (which was not listed on the menu) the server and wonderfully accommodating kitchen staff came up with a gastronomic delight. My husband was elated with his duck. The Thai tea was a perfect touch. I probably over-tipped, but the whole experience awe inspiring. Certainly not what I expected to find in a little country town like Westminster. My husband says he knows where he is going the next time he is in the mood for Asian carry out. read more

My family loves it here! Prices are fair, food is delicious! I love the drunken noodles and pad thai as entrees. The Thai tea is so refreshing. We enjoy beef salad and spring rolls as appetizers. Try to save room for mango and sticky rice because it is one of the best desserts I've ever had. Service is always fast and friendly. There's a nice little dining room but they're also great for carry out. On street parking if you're lucky and there is a big parking lot out back. read more

We just went for lunch to check it out. Portions we large and all lunch specials were $8.50 with a spring roll and soup or salad. Waitstaff got a little overwhelmed and pretty slow with the lunch rush but there was a big lunch crowd. We'll definitely try it again for dinner sometime. read more

Some of the best food in westminster and some of the best Thai I have had. The Kao Soi and the Pla Aok Taek are two of my favorites. The food is always super fresh, very well balanced spices and seasoning, huge portions, decent price, and not very americanized. Also the service could not be nicer. Sometimes they are hard to understand but are more than willing to have a laugh about the miscommunication. LOVE this place! Beats the crap out of every other thai, chinese, or japanese restaurant in the area. read more

Worst food and service I have ever had. This place has gone downhill so far I will never go back. I've been going for years and with each change of ownership or management it gets worse. The original and second owners were both Thai and always on premises to greet, sometimes even cook and always make sure the customer was happy. New management is horrid. It has hit rock bottom. I expect a wait on a Friday night when it can get pretty busy in all restaurants and the 2 of us weren't super hungry when we got there and only wanted simple stuff. There were quite a few tables filled but still lots of empty ones so we were hopeful it wouldn't be too long a wait. My companion saw a couple at a table with pineapple fried rice- basically shrimp fried rice with pineapple served in a half pineapple shell, he decided to try that. I ordered larb gai (cold spicy ground chicken salad) to share and shrimp pad thai, I asked if it could be done with a mix of shrimp, chicken and pork like what a lot of Asian restaurants call a "house" dish. Not a lot of any one thing, just a bit of each. 90 minutes later we finally got the larb gai salad. Tables that had been seated after us with 4 or more were getting food before us which was annoying. I asked our server why so long a wait for basic stuff and her reply was they had a ton of carryout orders! Seriously, you prioritize carryout over people sitting in your restaurant waiting for 90 minutes for an appetizer?? The main courses finally arrived after 2 hours, fried rice not in a pineapple half- when I asked about it, the servers response was they ran out! And you couldn't have mentioned that while we sat here for 2 hours. Oh, and not a penny off the bill for not serving what my husband ordered and no apology for not letting him know so he could order something else. Regular shrimp fried rice was $2 less but no adjustment offered or made. My pad thai was disgusting- the noodles weren't normal medium or wide noodles in a beautiful pile in a sauce topped with peanuts- oh no, thin noodles that had completely dissolved into a clump on the plate, topped with slabs of dried out pork slices a few pieces of chicken and the crushed peanut topping was a pile of nuts on the side of the plate. The only thing appetizing was the very large nicely cooked shrimp. For this they charged and extra $6, $3 for each extra item and I could barely find any chicken the dish was covered in what looked like slices of dried out pork tenderloin. If you want to take a chance on this place have at it but I will never go back after that experience. read more

Have been coming here for over a year. Always liked it-- nice and hospitable. Food-- okay. However, today was a problem. Ordered Duck Palo. It came to the table cold. Waiter said the cook ( who is also the owner) left it out on the counter so it was cold. Had to walk it over to the kitchen to return it. Waiter did not even come back to ask us if we wanted a substitution. We were ignored for another ten minutes. The restaurant was not busy-- just us and one other table of two people. My favorite Thai Restaurant! We went again this past Thursday for our Wedding Anniversary and the food was fabulous! I ordered Sizzling Seafood without squid. Once again people at other tables asked what I ordered because it smells so delicious. Mussels, shrimp and scallops with asparagas, red peppers and green beans in a spicy sauce.
