The installer, Gavin quite expertly installed and adjusted blinds, and made sure I understood the operation of said blinds prior to leaving. The end result is a beautifully covered window which allows me privacy when needed and maximizes light when not. I would give Timan more than 5 stars if I could. I didnt call Window Universe intially. (my mistake) I had one company (Who I wont review) that was all the way up to getting a downpayment from me. They seemed good initially but I had to fire them when they didnt show up (it was a fourth offence) Too bad. Well I called Window Universe they came out fast. The quoting process was fast. The person (lance) who came out was very personable. Now I didnt realize this but their quote was 1500 less than the other guy I fired. Also Lance is a dialed in person. He called Provia on my door and he told me that the door I was getting was not compatible so we had to switch. The previous guy was going to give me that door with the side lights. (Was it going to even work??) yeah so there was that. The appointment took minutes. We also talked about basement glass block windows. Their prices. Right on the sheet AND they were really good about 1/2 what I expected to pay. So I am going to do that too before the winter. Anyhow when all was said and done Window Universe was less than the guy I almost used and Lance double checked he got the proper sized windows and sidelights. Great experience and I still have 3+ weeks before the windows show up. Ill come back and add some pictures after it is done. I know it is going to be great.

I made the appointment a couple weeks in advance because I was getting new windows and knew when they would be installed. They confirmed the appointment a day ahead of time. Jason showed up on time. I bought 10 blinds and gave him a deposit. Liz contacted me a couple of days later and said she would keep track of the order and contact me to set up installation in a couple of weeks. A week later I got an email with a proposed install date which worked for me. They confirmed that a day in advance. Jason showed up on time and installed the blinds and explained the remote/motorization to me. I paid him and he left. He took all of the packaging and I wouldn't have known he was there if there weren't new blinds on my windows. I wish every home improvement project went this smoothly. Everyone was a pleasure to work with and I would buy blinds again from them in a minute. read more

This could not have been easier! I stopped in the store to see what they offered. I told the associate I was looking to replace 2 blinds in a room that has 6 windows and I wanted the new ones to match. I also have 2 skylights that need shades due to a tree having to come down. I made the appointment for a few days from when I stopped. The gentleman showed up with all the samples of what the store carries. We were able to match the blinds and I ordered the 2 skylight shades. All of the above was installed yesterday. I am thrilled. The skylight shades are remote control and very easy to operate. We've had Timan install shades, Roman pleated shades and plantation shutters in our home within the past year. Although they are pricey, they are worth the investment. Everyone we've worked with (Kathleen, Liz, installers and people in the showroom) has been totally professional. The installers were always on time, neat, clean and quick. I had some custom made curtains in a different room and they didn't fit the other rooms windows, so he cut them down. They only carry Hunter Douglas, but it's a huge selection of options and prices. Location is convenient on Chagrin Blvd and he thankfully has Saturday hours. And the store has many styles and a variety of cord options on display. Bob came out twice to my house to discuss options, bring samples and double check measurements. The cost included installation which was done quickly and efficiently. Bob knows the product line in detail and quickly recommended styles and patterns based on my requirements. He also recommended a cord option that is very slick that I'd never heard of and would have not known to order, but loved it. He's been selling window treatments for over 20 yrs and it shows. He is a professional and a pleasure to work with. He also recommended an alternative to Silhouette shades which looked just like it at a good savings. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that as a comparison shopper I wish he carried at least one more line of window treatments than Hunter Douglas.
