I'm having some remodeling done and needed a very specific product to match my existing wood flooring. I learnt from the manufacturer that only 5 retailers in all of Houston were authorized resellers. I reached out to them all. Three never bothered getting back to me, one quoted me way more than what I knew it should cost, and then there was Timberline. I called and spoke with Titus, who was incredibly helpful and responsive from the get go. He had a quote ready for me within a day, and we agreed upon a very fair price. I was told the order would be delivered in about a week, and it was. There was some minor damage caused to my garage floor by the delivery company, and I texted Titus immediately to inform him. He told me he would take care of it, and I'm actually typing this out as the work is being finished, only a couple of days later. He's a consumate professional whom I'd recommend without hesitation. However, I appreciate that the owner Tai took the time to address my concerns and rectify the situation.He personally came by to thoroughly explain and address my concerns. Stay away! I hired Tai to do three commercial jobs and his crew messed up on two of them costing me more than $8,000 to fix them when he refused to fix his mistakes and walked away. I am patient (I gave him another chance for another job) but when a mistake is made, admit it, work together on a solution and do the right thing. I had both failed projects recorded on security cameras but Tai would not even sit down with me and review them together so he could see what his crew does and how to coach them on improving. That was the saddest part. Tai is a SUPER nice man but doesn't manage his projects - his way too young son (not old enough for the responsibility) and other relatives fill in with little/no work ethic or expertise. I learned the hard way, and it cost me a lot of money to fix the mistakes and hope you don't have to experience what happened to me. read more

I hired Timberline a few days ago on a referral from a long time trusted friend. My friend said he knew Tai and his good work for over a decade. On the Monday I signed the contract I felt rushed and was contacted several times with difficulties and different instructions from Tai while I was at work. I wondered why he hadn't informed me all that would be needed the Friday before rather than make me figure things out for him while I was at work with my own clients. As if I didn't get it done quickly, and his way, I would lose the deal. On the second day I was told my floors needed a liquid leveler Tai had told me I absolutely would not need during our initial inspection. More than that it would be nearly $2,000 more than the estimate. He cited one line inside of his estimate that referred to a leveler by the bag. But the new price he was quoting me was nearly twice that amount per bag. I was also being made to feel stuck because, "his crew", of one guy, had already started the work. Though he had been at my house 24 hours he had only swept up a few dust piles, moved a few boxes/furnishings, & damaged my brand new walls and paint job just finished four days before they showed up. Furthermore when I told Tai how dissatisfied and disappointed I was in his service to that point he hung up on me. To top everything off, Tai texted me threatening a short time later, he was going to hold onto my deposit check until his crew could get all of their supplies, which I was told by his, "crew", they planned to return to my house after I left. When I texted back that I had made sure all of his supplies were definitely 100% on that truck, he never responded. I was forced to take my aforementioned friends advice and stop payment on the check. It was the very first time I have ever had to stop payment on a check in my life. I have already spoken to my closest clients that have many of their own properties and told them of these happenings. I will never recommend Timberline Houston, ever, and my friend says he never will again either. read more

My husband and I fell in love with a Provenza flooring and found that Timberline was a distributer. I emailed them for a quote, and the owner, Tai, quickly got back with me. He gave me the best quote BY FAR. When we went to go in store to purchase the flooring, it was like night and day with Timberline and other flooring places. While a lot of other places were high pressure and were that fake overt attentiveness, Tai was so easy going and kind. We told him we wanted to float our floors and we were DIYers, he gave us great advice without being imposing and judgmental. Our builder installed the dishwasher before the hardwood floors in the kitchen, an error we didn't discover until the dishwasher went out. In order to replace the dishwasher, we found we had to cut out the wood floor in front of the dishwasher so that we could get the old one out and the new one in. A small job, but Timberline came promptly when others wouldn't even call me back. They did a great job, and I'll definitely call them again when I need to refinish or replace the floors. read more

This store has a very wide range of flooring from which to choose. I was in need of tile for bathroom floors. Odi was very patient with me in the process of helping me select the perfect tile. Tai measured the area and answered all my questions. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and explained the entire process. I visited many big name flooring stores, but the experience did not compare to the amazing customer service that I received here. The price was very affordable. My wife and I did a DIY kitchen remodel removing a wall for an open concept kitchen and wanted a continuous wood floor. I could not find matching flooring anywhere in the store or online in my budget and almost went with a tile or laminate instead after we saw a estimate from a local installer to install unfinished floors and have them stain matched. Timberline was able to find a prefinished flooring that matched the size and color for me to continue the flooring. In the end I'm so happy with the look and openness of the floor plan and so glad I didn't go the other route. I don't think I would be able to achieve the look had we wanted if we did. I had the flooring shipped to me and it was an easy process, also great customers service and pricing. I was recommended to Timberline and I'm happy that I followed up. I was impressed how Timberline Flooring was courteous, professional even with my small order of 160 square feet. Tile was delivered 10 days after originally agreed upon date . And even then , the wrong size was shipped. Had to put the installation contractor off a week(lost use of a bathroom), had to install different size tile than ordered and got $100 off the order. No way worth the hassle.
