Bottom Line: A nice beachy shopping center with stores, restaurants and such. Overall, I like the Timbuck II Shopping Village. For starters, I like the beachy aesthetic. Shoppers walk along decking and boardwalks to access the shops. Also, there are different buildings within the shopping center so that adds some interest too. My favorite shops here are The Cottage Shop, Sound Feet Shoes and The Cotton Gin. In addition to shops there are also a handful of restaurants and eateries. And behind the shopping center is a race track and miniature golf course. Timbuck II includes some other business too like a massage place and a real estate office. read more

How could anyone give this shopping center anything but five stars!?! We all know it takes a village to make things run smoothly and that is exactly why this Village is my favorite place to spend my money in the OBX! It's obvious that every owner, manager, employee in the shopping center cares about customer service, provides good products and keeps this place neat and tidy. Even on their busiest days things seem to run smoothly around here and there is some thing for everyone and I mean some thing for everyone! You forgot a T-shirt or a jacket or you want to go race go-carts, Putt-Putt, buy some GOOD cooking Oils from Ella's, have someone package you up a magnificent crab & shrimp broil to take home and heat up, have a good cocktail, or an ice cream after dinner or some really good food "North Banks Raw Bar". You need to buy your aunt Bertha a gift for her birthday and she likes pigs sitting on the beach smoking cigars, I guarantee you you'll find it in this shopping center. Old Timey photo Session with the family, essential oils and stones to get rid of the bad juju.... Plenty of parking! So don't be scared to venture into a store that you don't think is "up your alley" because I guarantee you that you will find something that will amaze and surprise you. read more

6/26/20 We are back at Timbuck II and we will see if things have changed since we were here last. Things I have noticed is that all of the shops we visited offer/requested that you sanitize your hands upon entering their store. Masks or cover ups are required upon entering the shop keepers humble abode. The bathrooms on the shopping Center side where the fudgery is located still stinks like yesterday's diapers. The inside of the men's bathroom had a clean chemical smell along with the smell of butt...you really can't win. Granted the inside of the men's bathroom was clean, but the double smell of clean bath mixed with men's asses was too much for me. I saw when parked under the shops water had collected in one area and the smell could have been coming from there. Whatever the case is, please fix this problem. read more

This is a great shopping center with all the touristy shops in one location. It's still a decent amount of outdoor walking and sunshine so wear sunscreen. My favorites shoppes were the popcorn place and Just for the beach. Plenty of shoppes for souvenirs and plenty of boutiques. read more

(Take my rantings with a grain of salt as I'm about as anti-shopping a person as you'll ever find. For me the idea of coming to place like this to "meander" around for a few hours is akin to a Bataan Death March.) Being the bad non-sheeple consumers that we are, we had never paid Timbuck II a visit even though we had stayed in Corolla three times prior. This time was different because it was in season (2nd week of June) and the thought of heading south through the ludicrous traffic in Duck was not something that I wanted to do more than I had to. Enter Timbuck II as an alternative. Honestly we didn't see very much of this place even though we came here on three different occasions during our week. Twice to Mexikind and once to Bubbie's were the primary reasons we came. After the visit to Bubbie's we hung out and walked around a little. My impression. as expected, was very much that I didn't get the appeal. It was an overcast weekday late afternoon and we stopped at the Fudgery. We would have bought something except all they had were four flavors which were all chocolate based. All other fudge I assume was sold out. Sure they had other stuff there but the pricing is just...too much. We saw a few of the outfitter-shirt-tourist crap shops and honestly there's not much any of those places are selling that you can't find at a Super Wings, for less. I have no doubt we'll be back in Corolla at some point and if it's in season a few of the restaurants provide a nice respite from the KDH-Manteo heavy tourist experience but I wasn't overwhelmed by Timmy and it sure as hell wasn't five stars. Take it for what it is. Overpriced everything where they know that by-in-large they've got a captive audience that won't make the long trek south to find cheaper-more reasonable alternatives. Let's see how this place fares when the Mid-Currituck Bridge gets built in twenty years (the lawsuits are already flying) which will give people easier access to more choices. read more

There's shoe stores and beach stores and apparel and wine and everything you could want to look at! They have over 60 shops! At least that's what they advertise. What they don't tell you that there are some repeats, and about half of them sell the same touristy merchandise like shirts with seashells printed on them. There were some really good restaurants here, so I highly recommend them for that. North Banks and Mike Dianna's are both really good. There's also an arcade and the tiniest go kart track you'll ever see. I also highly recommend the beef jerky store. read more

If you're vacationing in Corolla, chances are you'll end up at TimBuck II before you leave. Overall they have a good selection of stores to browse through as well as ice cream and fudge if you need a treat. Check out the Cotton Gin or Michael's Gems and Glass while you're here. -1 star for the bathrooms. They're fairly disgusting at the moment. The men's room looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long while and one stall was marked out of order. My wife says the women's room was worse with some of the toilets literally in pieces. Parking has never been as issue when I've been here. Just fix the bathroom issues and this is a solid place to take the family for the afternoon. read more

While vacationing in the OBX, a few of my family members decided to take the 2 mile drive from our vacation home to visit this shopping village. It has a go-cart track, "Try My Nuts" store, a fudge store and several other stores to visit. To be honest, I wasn't impressed at all. After I visited the nut store I was actually ready to go because none of the stores offered interested me. I did go into a few of the boutique stores that were rather overpriced, in my opinion. Perhaps I'm used to going to large or "real" shopping centers that this one just didn't seem to do the trick, so it wouldn't be a real need for me to ever return to this shopping village if I ever decide to return to the OBX. If you're looking for souvenirs, I would check out 1 of the 2 Super Wings literally right up the street from this shopping village. read more

This is still a great place to shop at when in the area. It is like a leisurely place to just spend one of the many warm afternoons. Take your time strolling from one store to another and don't worry about the time slipping away. Great place to just kind of escape from it all. Why not, you are more than likely on vacation when you are here anyway. Take advantage of all that there is to do here. Don't feel like taking the kids with you while you shop there are many activities spread throughout that can keep them entertained until you have shopped to your heart's content. Or maybe scope out what you might want to do later and stop back without the kids. A definitely stop for when you need to get off the beach for a few hours. read more

Treasure here is Buck's Homemade Ice Cream. There is a lot of tourist shopping and nice seaside tourist towns. This is the off season so you may find some good deals on the sales (50% off swim suites - possible to find under $10/pair. Most of the stuff is tourist stuff - I'd like to see more hand crafted / artist options to make it more unique then just going to another shopping mall. Not as many unique items here. Lots of parking outside and in garage. No issue during the off-season but during the summer there is one road that can get really crowded. Couple of fun kid things to do (putt putt and go cart). read more

There was a lot to check out! It was a fun day of shopping. The biggest negatives were the hot, smelly, dirty bathrooms (think port-o-potty), the limited parking and the heat (the heat index warning was 105-114) since it is an outdoor shopping center. There aren't any water fountains, so be prepared to shell out $3/bottle for water. But we had a great time perusing the shops and found quite a few things we loved! IMHO, I'd plan a trip if I've never been or if it were close by! read more

This fun little shopping centre is great for families and date nights! Or just to shop or look around. All these restaurants are GREAT. Theres a good variety of shops too, from big bucks cream to Kittys old time photos and theres even a small little playground next to bubbies with a few benches you can just relax on. This place is pretty large, you can by anything from a hammock to jewelry or even to some fresh seafood. There's a lot of shops in a relatively small area, so you could easily spend an afternoon walking around browsing shops and pick up any souvenirs you may want to get for friends or family. They also have kayak rentals which are nice, and go karts which can be a little pricy. It's a great place to spend a rainy day, but know that almost everyone else will probably have the same idea. Parking can be impossible sometimes with or without rain. Bucks icecream and the brew thru are great stops. read more

This is one of our go-to shopping destinations in the OBX. My daughter always gets a braid or a henna tattoo, we can spend the day hopping from one shop to the next, grab lunch at any variety of places. The Cotton Gin, Gray's, The Parrot Bay are the old staples. The parking seems to be getting more difficult every year, so take the first spot you see. There is a farmers market next to the center, good place to stop to pick up veggies for dinner. read more

Came here for a day of shopping in the middle of our vacation. There are many souvenir and boutique shops, lots of different restaurants as well as dessert shops. There's plenty of parking areas and it'll take a while to walk around to all of the shops. A good half day activity. My favorite shop was Just For The Beach; they had a wide selection of hats, clothes, souvenirs, and more. The popcorn shop was great! They let you sample as many different kinds of popcorn as your like, they were all delicious!! Cheddar ranch and cinnamon twist were my favorite. The hammock shop was fun also to take a quick break in and try out laying in different hammocks. I enjoyed spending the morning at Tim Buck II. read more

This is THE shopping center to go to in Corolla. Filled with everything from restaurants to gift shops, clothing stores to salons, grocery places to go karts, Timbuck II will provide more than adequate diversion for the whole family within its confines. This is tourist paradise, and they all flock to its air-conditioned businesses during the peak of the day. Be forewarned though: parking capacity is nowhere near what this place needs. On a good day, you may just have to drive around a little to find a spot. On a rainy day, FORGETABOUTIT. Ditto with the movie theater. Those places will be PACKED with everyone not in the mood to stay inside and do things like, oh, play board games or read books, and somehow this is the better alternative to watching tv all day (which it is, but books and board games are fun to!). read more

We always go to Corolla because it's not as crowded and ridiculous as other places along the Outer Banks (see Duck). But it's nice to know there is a shopping center with such a broad range of shops, and in great condition. It's always a great place to go to, be it for lunch, dinner, or ice cream at Buck's. Plenty of shopping for those who don't care for the beach, or if you simply want a change of pace. read more

A pretty cool shopping center located in Corolla, NC. The shopping are is built more for visitors and tourists. There are tons of stores if you're looking for a gift or souvenirs. Great place to eat as well. The restaurants here are fantastic with a variety to choose from. I would recommend lunch and dessert here. read more

Thank goodness this place is here, or we would have gotten pretty bored. We visited this place several times. We ate lunch here at the Bad Bean Taqueria, I got ice cream here twice (several ice cream places), there's a tot lot for kids to blow off some steam, we fed turtles by the water, we played mini-golf, we ate dinner at Route 12 Steaks & Seafood, and we shopped at several stores. The Timbuck II shopping village became go to place a couple of times while we were on vacation. We scoured the stores for ridiculous souvenirs and ate at some of the restaurants. It was a little disappointing that many of the stores closed by 5 o'clock though, so we missed out on things like Try My Nuts and the gem shop, but overall it was a cute little shopping center. Just have to remember to hit it up earlier in the day next time. read more

Restaurant options galore and a ton of different shops to stop in. Check out the ice cream shop or the popcorn shop for your sweet tooth. The Go Kart places hours are not consistent with what's advertised online. Closes at 6pm not 11pm.

Definitely worth the stop when in Corolla. 158 Surf Shop had cool gear, IMO overpriced, but interesting. Grays is always good. Recommend checking out shopping across the street in the Food Lion shopping center, too. read more

This was my family's 6th year in the outer banks and we have loved staying in Corolla every year. Tim Buck II is a great shopping center with many stores and a few places to eat. On previous trips, we did the go carts and the paddle boats which ran on a small stream in a circle. These are fun but maybe only to do once. The go karts were kind of pricey. However, Tim Buck II is a great place to get vacation souvenirs and is easy to get around. read more

Their golf course is really bad but everything else is good. Golf course is very run down and the mosquitos are horrible. Also it is very plain and boring there is no adventure to the course at all. The best part of the whole "golf course" is the masive chair at the very end. The course is not kept up on, there is rocks and sticks and grass. read more

pretty much the only place other then the beach to go!.. only thing i found weird was that the places close early and open late.. i guess I'm used to the ocnj shore and how everything stayed open till 12 or later.. other then that, its a nice place to just walk around and browse the shops. read more
